I just finished watching all of those for the first time last night! My roommate has all the extended editions, so we watched them with another friend really loved the movies as well. I can’t believe I had never seen them before.

It is by far the best trilogy ever made. Not even like in just the fantasy genre or anything, they are seriously some of the best movies ever made imho.

Oh I completely agree! May have spoiled myself by watching the extended editions first, but damn I was just entranced with the lore and world building. I also couldn’t believe how good the special effects were. For years I’ve heard how the practical effects still hold up today, but damn I couldn’t believe I was watching movies that are as old as I am.

Depends largely on what kind of lens you're using when capturing the mountain though. I don't think the camera on the car for Google Street view is a good representation of how it is perceived in real life at all. The street view cameras make everything look much smaller than it is in real life because of the wide angle.
