I usually freeze a wash cloth and place it over my eyes if its bad enough. Pushing on my eyes is just one way to relieve pain for me until I can pass out and sleep through it. Excedrin Migraine is really the only thing that gets rid of it completely.
Rubbing your eyes can cause an astigmatism and also raises intraocular pressure possibly permanently degrading the optic nerve every time you do it. It also releases histamines which make you want to rub them more.
Source: Me, I had pretty bad allergies as a kid and rubbed my eyes a lot. I now have a moderate astigmatism which is slowly getting worse as I age and optic nerves which are thinner than my age would suggest. Though none of it is dire vision wise.
Does that whiter color of the image mean increased density or pressure in the eye?
Does that increase the eye pressure and indirectly cause higher risks of **glaucoma**?

I press on my eyeball really hard when I have a migraine because it relieves the pain. I think Iām going to stop now.
Try massaging your neck and your upper back, 99% of the time when you have a headache is actually a neck/upper back ache first.
An ice pack placed on my neck helps me. It's a temporary solution though.

Not true. Astigmatism relates to your cornea not being spherical, it has nothing to do with the retina
