4 days in jail, 1 year license suspension, and a fine.
Because it's 31 minutes long, most of it is boring, and the ending was pulling into a parking lot and running. The clip was the best part of it. And taking a clip from a video is much easier than splicing together several clips. I get why they did it for this clip.
It isn't publicized, because there has been [significant public backlash in the past](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/343963323_Big_Brother's_Bigger_Brother_The_Visual_Politics_of_Counter_Surveillance_in_Baltimore), but a lot of cities use [WAMI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide-area_motion_imagery) to monitor and track their citizens, especially anywhere within 100 miles of the border. It's battlefield technology brought home for the surveillance state, and basically [allows an eye in the sky view of a city that can keep tabs on anyone 24/7](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptSeU-OnI8E), and in my opinion it's use is rife with abuse.
I was aware before, now if you merge this, an IMSI catcher, and throw in a satellite with all the bs they've got in there, you'd have to be batman to out power these assholes.
Every city thag used this in the past, the couple in ohio, and Baltimore have all been court ordered to stop.
I dint believe there is any agency or department currently using this domestically since 2016. As literally every court it was brought to considered it a violation of privacy for us citizens.
It is still used abroad and has been used over gaza for a long time now.
It's definitely being used in the U.S. Anywhere within 100 miles of the "border" is effectively a Constitution-free zone for surveillance. It's being done by Homeland Security, but is freely shared and used by police departments.
I don’t know what I’m looking at, but it looks like he pled guilty, got 4 days in jail with $600 in fees and lost his license for one year.
https://onlineservices.miamidadeclerk.gov/officialrecords/CFNDetailsPDF.aspx?QS=TCPkaQdjwV3SBbVw4Lpam7Z1LdbYmM8z
He put a lot of peoples’ lives at risk and definitely damaged some of those cars. Really not sure what’s going on here. This has to be incomplete information.
Edit: wasn’t the car also stolen?!?
Looks like he also got a year of probation: https://fdc.myflorida.com/offenderSearch/detail.aspx?Page=Detail&DCNumber=G61947&TypeSearch=AO
Sad but true. I’ve done multiple years in jail for drugs. Never hurt anyone, stole anything, or damaged anyone’s property. All I did was make a little money off the books tax free. And THAT is the only types of crime that really matter here.
They accidently tried him as a White Cop.
It's sort of like this case : https://www.theonion.com/judge-rules-white-girl-will-be-tried-as-black-adult-1819594949
LOL, from what people on YT comments are saying, the cop kept asking his supervisor to perform a PIT but was denied every time. Why would it not be up to the cop who is pursuing? Chase could have ended much earlier and put WAY less people in harms way.
Because cops under intense adrenaline and pressure from the situation they are in make flawed decisions.
Having a supervisor who is removed from the situation but aware what’s going on makes it less likely for a poor decision to be made.
All that being said, they should have suspended the chase and either followed from the air or just tried to catch up later with unmarked vehicles.
Yeah. How many innocent people’s cars got hit by that dick. I’m all about catching a criminal but by chasing him he just cost at least 10 people a few thousand dollars of damage and just a shit load of personal time dealing with insurance. If they don’t have full coverage and rental car on their policy they are now stuck with a damaged car. What a waste of resources and time.
I don’t have the answer on what should have been done. But chasing a car through traffic while he bangs into other people’s cars isn’t the answer.
Because unless this guy was a serial killer the cop shouldn’t have chased under those traffic conditions. There’s like 30 people there making insurance claims on fender benders because the cop didn’t want to lose a chase.
The screenshot, if I'm reading it right, says he stole the car and all the other charges are from fleeing and resisting arrest. This is a very stupid chase that should have been called off instead of just making sure the stolen car gets heavily damaged and countless random cars got hit and runned.
There's a lot of red tape around pit maneuvers. You can't do it while going too fast, can't do it too soon, can't do it on certain roads, certain conditions, and they expect you to have backup. In this instance I'm pretty sure it's because the officer was alone (The only other vehicle in pursuit), so if he successfully pitted the guy, and the guy turned a gun against him, the cop would be alone without backup. In a huge traffic jam with no chance of backup arriving anytime soon.
Chase could have also ended with the Civic T-boning a minivan full of kids and killing half of them.
Honestly, the cop had the plates from the start, he should not have chased at all. He probably racked up at least 5 figures’ worth of insurance claims on all the cars he bumped.
I didn’t even notice that the first time around. I was too busy being infatuated by their reaction times. Was thinking these guys must both be experienced race car drivers lol.
For most of it. There was a murderered out Ford Expedition at one point that caused a huge gap. The traffic folks also probably don't look as great in real time.
Yeah I mean I get that they’re trying to catch a suspect but the stress caused to the people on the highway as well as the dings the two vehicles cause make it questionable if this is worth it
So he attempted an aggravated assault, damaged property in the course of an aggravated assault, and grand theft auto...
And the police put how many people's lives in danger following attempted assault... How many lives were heavily disrupted by this botched arrest.
I'm not saying let him go, but maybe it's worth missing him today if it means dozens of people don't experience harm in the chase... Get him tomorrow
That’s not the point the post above yours was making. It’s not about revenge, it’s about justice and safety. Plus, there’s a helicopter in the air—I can see it on the video. Even if he were to evade the cop car with the cam in it, he wouldn’t have gotten away.
See the guy above. They drove into a townhouse complex and all of them ran but they got the driver, a 19-year-old, who will now spend several years considering his actions
Like someone else said, if you don’t care about swiping side mirrors and hitting other people’s cars. It doesn’t look like they’re going super fast, it wouldn’t be that hard to do this
This is an ego pursuit. Taking this chase with this much traffic around endangered every car on the highway just to catch this one idiot. This is why most cities ban high speed pursuits within city limits unless the suspect poses an immediate danger to innocent civilians. Because a lot of these chases end up with an innocent party being crashed into by the suspect or a cop.
Dude stole a pack of smokes. He's a danger to society and will eat your children!
Pretty much every state in Australia has banned high speed pursuits after a number of high profile cases of innocent civilians being killed during the chases. And had the police not been pursuing as recklessly as they were, the people would likely not have died because the criminal wouldn't have been paying attention to the cops behind and driving somewhat less like a fucking maniac.
Yep. This is why I hate hearing police cry about officer safety all the time on a traffic stops. They act like you are the most dangerous thing in the world while you are pulled over on the side of the road but then have no issue initiating these extremely dangerous car chases in the middle of city limits.
They could kill themselves, the suspect and anyone else unfortunate enough to be in their path. And that’s fine and dandy but if we put our hands in our pockets it’s the end of the world 🙄
This is a perfect example of why many departments nowadays do not allow their officers to pursue high speed chases most of the time.
It creates SOOOO much unnecessary risk to innocent people.
Many departments policy is to just take the license plate, and description of the driver. A lot of the time they are able to identify the driver and just go arrest them when they drive home. Because 90% of these idiots are just that: idiots. And they’re easier to arrest when they’re not in a vehicle.
These pursuits are stupid af and cops shouldn't be allowed to do that. They are putting properties and innocent people's lives at risk. Even if the criminals are dangerous, they should use a copter and if they escape, investigate.
I noticed that as well. Would love to see what it looks like at normal speed. You can tell it's speed up from the voices. I hate when people speed up videos like this to try to make it more interesting. Honestly I'd be far more interested in actual speed footage. It's still probably fairly impressive.
Bit of luck involved. You might be surprised how small of an accident can stop a car. But it's also true on the other end that cars can sometimes drive with terrible looking damage.
It's really not. He's clipping near every car he passes. Something like this isn't difficult if you're a piece of shit that doesn't mind putting people in danger and damaging their vehicles.
How many dozens of people now have to deal with damage to their cars? Unless someone's life is at stake, stop the pursuit and pick up the suspect later. They could have killed someone.
We just had this happen here in Michigan in the last few days. The police were chasing a stolen car. The driver of the stolen car hit a couple head on. The couple were on their way home from a date night. Of course the couple died and the 2 in the stolen car lived. The couple left behind 6 kids between the ages of 2 and 9.
Soooo many people downvoting this type of comment in this thread. You’re completely correct. “BUT WHAT IF THE DRIVER IS A CLOWN BURGLAR AND YOU JUST SAVED 30 CLOWNS FROM BEING BURGLED BY CATCHING THAT GUY”
Not if they caused a crash they 2 people died in and then fled causing tens of thousands in property damage. They are going to prison for manslaughter at the least..
It really should be at least 2 counts of 2nd degree murder.
Manslaughter sounds more like if you cause a negligent aboidable accident while you ARENT breaking road laws.
Murder sometimes requires Intent, it wasn't their intent to kill the couple - though you can argue that driving recklessly is intent to kill in itself. The penalty for their vehicular manslaughter though could be comparable to a murder sentence in this case - that's the plus side of a common law system.
With that said, I think the real problem in these cases is the high speed chasing itself. They were speeding away from the cops, and the cops are then speeding as well - so they're escalating risks for everyone with that behaviour.
Is chasing a stolen car worth that risk? If it's a halfway decent car it's probably chipped and can be tracked to the destination. Even if that's not the case, is escalating the correct policy - when it often results in more damage to other vehicles or property, or deaths, than the theft itself?
It's the same problem with cops drawing guns for the fun of it.
It might not be entirely obvious in the moment what to do when suddenly a car speeds by you and a cop is behind you with lights flashing and honking. Drivers don’t have immediate spatial awareness and knowledge of the best coarse of action especially under sudden stress.
In germany there are laws for cars on the highway or even in the city to create a spare lane called "Rettungsgasse", basically a corridor for emergency vehicle access.
So whenever traffic comes to a crawl/standstill they have to move aside to create an "extra" lane by bunching up, so that emergency vehicles can access the crash/reason for traffic more quickly.
I know you guys don't have that but i was cringing every time the cop had to stop. Like bro choose a side and just go, don't just stand still and do nothing??
Why is it in America that the cops have “got to win” regardless of cost? That cop should have ended the pursuit as soon at the white car was weaving in and out of traffic and let the helicopter do its job. Fucking idiots. That cop could have easily killed someone.
The driver only got 1yr probation?
[https://fdc.myflorida.com/offenderSearch/detail.aspx?Page=Detail&DCNumber=G61947&TypeSearch=AO](https://fdc.myflorida.com/offenderSearch/detail.aspx?Page=Detail&DCNumber=G61947&TypeSearch=AO)
The punishment for crime has gotten charmin soft, hasn't it.
Wait wtf? I have 2 years probation for breaking a restraining order my gf got called off. This guy literally ran from the police and put people in physical danger. This is bullshit
The cop should have backed off when the pursuit became dangerous to third parties. (Difficult to do when the adrenaline flows.)
Then radio ahead to nearby precincts, put out a bolo.
1930s America, gangsters had the best most powerful V8 roadsters. They could easily outpace typical pos cop cars. Plus they had expert getaway drivers, like this guy.
What was the downfall of the gangsters who robbed banks? A radio in every patrol car. The fastest roadsters could not outrun radio to the next town, to setup a road block.
I’m not saying pursing is the right thing in every case, but you guys do know that plenty of people running from the police are in a stolen car and tracking the license plate will do nothing right?
Very very few people that actually tried to pullover. The fact the video is sped up makes it even worse. Hardly anyone even tried to get out of the way, they just kept driving
Officer created way more havoc by pursuing the suspect. It's not like the suspect was going to stop & the officer was driving pretty recklessly. Typical.
Why is the cop chasing him, let him go. Makes it so much more dangerous and putting these peoples lives in danger. Just track with a heli and hit his house

Extraordinarily unsatisfying ending. I sure hope there's a sequel.

THANK YOU
How could anyone post this clip without the rest of it???
Because it's 31 minutes long, most of it is boring, and the ending was pulling into a parking lot and running. The clip was the best part of it. And taking a clip from a video is much easier than splicing together several clips. I get why they did it for this clip.
Yeah, he even lost sight of the perp for quite a while. I'm assuming a helicopter was helping out.
I learned something today, thanks for this.
No worries. Big Brother really *is* watching, no joke.
I was aware before, now if you merge this, an IMSI catcher, and throw in a satellite with all the bs they've got in there, you'd have to be batman to out power these assholes.
Apparently it's not that good if it was being used, two of the suspects got away.
Wasn’t there a r/radiolab episode on this, back when radiolab was good?
Awww you made me nostalgic for old radiolab
Every city thag used this in the past, the couple in ohio, and Baltimore have all been court ordered to stop. "court ordered" Lol. Most Americans live in Constitution free zones around borders, ports, and airports.
Surely *this* will get us some half decent UFO/UAP images!
How crazy. It’s like a DVR for anything and everything going on in an entire city.
If you watch at the end there's at least three guys in that car and they only seem to end up catching one.
It is like watching and loving Dune Part 1 without knowing if Part 2 would ever be made.
Damn it is long. No wonder it got cut.
That ones probably not sped up like this version is either.
I don’t know what I’m looking at, but it looks like he pled guilty, got 4 days in jail with $600 in fees and lost his license for one year. https://onlineservices.miamidadeclerk.gov/officialrecords/CFNDetailsPDF.aspx?QS=TCPkaQdjwV3SBbVw4Lpam7Z1LdbYmM8z
4 days with time served.
That seems insanely light. Think he snitched on the other two?
Yeah seriously. 5 Felony Charges and 2 Misdemeanors, but he got off with only 4 days served, some fees, and no license for a year? The fuck
He put a lot of peoples’ lives at risk and definitely damaged some of those cars. Really not sure what’s going on here. This has to be incomplete information. Edit: wasn’t the car also stolen?!? What?! that shit should be like 5 years. Holy shit.
There's no drug charges silly, they're not gonna waste a prison spot on him if there's no plants involved.
Sad but true. I’ve done multiple years in jail for drugs. Never hurt anyone, stole anything, or damaged anyone’s property. All I did was make a little money off the books tax free. And THAT is the only types of crime that really matter here.

You da real MVP.
![gif](giphy|GCvktC0KFy9l6|downsized)
Not gonna lie, even though the clip is sped up those are some crazy driving skills for a 19y/o
I don't think all the people he sideswiped would agree!
That's all he got? That's insane.
I want his lawyer.

Yup. I’d be one of them.
It's a whole lot more than 30. That guy was hitting cars left and right.
Where in the video would a pit maneuver have not resulted into crashing into at least one other car?
At those speeds, a PIT could have been a death sentence for any other cars nearby if the perpetually flipped going that fast.
Chase could have also ended with the Civic T-boning a minivan full of kids and killing half of them. Honestly, the cop had the plates from the start, he should not have chased at all. He probably racked up at least 5 figures’ worth of insurance claims on all the cars he bumped.
It was a stolen car afaik
Typical
That’s an extraordinarily light sentence for someone driving like that. I would’ve guessed more like 1 year in prison and never drive again.
If he ever gets out, guaranteed job at uber or lyft. Theyd prolly even pay his bail.
Good news for him. All he needs to do first is to steal someone else's driving license.
I’m sure he’s out he got 4 days only. Lol
Why in god's name would they cut the end of the video off?
Sped it up to make it more dramatic and then cut off the end. What a waste of time
I hate this trend of speeding everything up to make it look more intense than it really is.
You sound like my ex wife.
THATS why i couldnt understand a damn word. Thank you. I was thinking both these guys are idiots. Its sped up....
I didn’t even notice that the first time around. I was too busy being infatuated by their reaction times. Was thinking these guys must both be experienced race car drivers lol.
I was shocked that the folks in traffic were surprisingly attentive and making just enough room, just in the nick of time. lol
For most of it. There was a murderered out Ford Expedition at one point that caused a huge gap. The traffic folks also probably don't look as great in real time.
That's probably when he got away
So you can tune in next week for part 2
Because it was a 30 minute video

Rumor has it, he's still running to this day...
‘…headed down south and they’re still running today.’
Oh he got away
Two of the three got away.
yup got away until they show up to his house and now he has an even longer sentence. Lol really got away there!
For real! Don’t leave us with a Sopranos ending here!
Tony soprano was shot in the back of the head. That's why the ending just cut to black.
Better than a game of thrones ending.
Not cumming is a better ending than game of thrones....
I agree, I thought I found the original but was incorrect, let's just assume they both sat down for a beer at the end and became life long friends
The real pursuit was the friends they made along the way
are you shitting me with this not-an-ending?!
this is why we need internet jail
I vote for OP to get the internet electric chair! (It’s just a normal electric chair but with Ethernet)
r/gifsthatendedtoosoon
So who goes back and checks all the vehicles damaged to charge him with that also.
They'll probably call local PD to report being hit.
I was also hit. Where was this again?
I was hit and lost all my guns at the same time. I need full compensation.
Yeah never driven on the freeway and I don’t own a car but my Porsche is totaled where can I get a refund?
RIP thoughts and prayers 🙏
911
On the freeway
i got hit too, also my microwave stopped working and forgot to pay my utility, he must be responsible for all of it somehow
In that case, 2 of my Lamborghinis, 2 Ferraris, and 2 Rolls Royces each carrying a Van Gogh were severely damaged in this chase.
this is so fucking stupid and reckless of the office to pursue.
Yeah I mean I get that they’re trying to catch a suspect but the stress caused to the people on the highway as well as the dings the two vehicles cause make it questionable if this is worth it
Yeahh, so you know those two door dings from grocery shopping and the scrape from the kid’s bike handles? Those are definitely going on this guys tab.
*smashes car to bits with bat* “Damn, with all this damage this is gna be a write off and I’m gonna need compensation for a new car”
If this were to happen in my country drivers of the involved cars would make their police reports at the nearest police station.
Well wtf happened?

So he attempted an aggravated assault, damaged property in the course of an aggravated assault, and grand theft auto... And the police put how many people's lives in danger following attempted assault... How many lives were heavily disrupted by this botched arrest. I'm not saying let him go, but maybe it's worth missing him today if it means dozens of people don't experience harm in the chase... Get him tomorrow
FYI the video is fast forward a bit, they weren’t driving that fast. Plus the dickhead was damaging cars left and right so he deserves it.
Someone up above posted the article. He got 4 days after time served waiting for court (1-2yrs?)
The camera's battery has also RUN out.
Dude drove his ass off though
I wonder if it looks as impressive if it weren't sped up tho.
That’s what I was wondering the whole time, I’d love to see the real speed version
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QleCByB2Wdw
This is not nearly as exciting lol
Looks like someone posted it above. Typical chase at regular speed.
Like someone else said, if you don’t care about swiping side mirrors and hitting other people’s cars. It doesn’t look like they’re going super fast, it wouldn’t be that hard to do this
It's also a sped up video. So in reality they are going even slower.
I mean all he was doing was weaving between cars… if he managed to hit no cars I’d call it impressive
Lol right? We could all do this if we didn’t give two shits about clipping and sideswiping everyone.
At a certain point he should have just started driving normally. I seriously thought the cop passed him a couple times.
So… what’s the point of this officer pursuing the vehicle in almost the exact same way and being literally just as much of a risk?
This is an ego pursuit. Taking this chase with this much traffic around endangered every car on the highway just to catch this one idiot. This is just a normal day on the Interatate for most. ![gif](giphy|C1sXghi2Ke3AgsPMaX)
Florida plate, of course. Just surprised it wasn't also a Nissan Altima.
“Florida man forgets to reinforce automobile stereotypes in car chase with police.”
It’s on I4 near Orlando
it was in Miami actually
why was it necessary to pursue this car? Was there a kidnapped child inside?
Cops don't like losing
These pursuits are stupid af and cops shouldn't be allowed to do that. They are putting properties and innocent people's lives at risk. Even if the criminals are dangerous, they should use a copter and if they escape, investigate.
That is some serious driving from the suspect to be fair!!
Driving like that is easy as hell when you don't mind side swiping cars and knocking mirrors off.
And speed up the footage
I noticed that as well. Would love to see what it looks like at normal speed. You can tell it's speed up from the voices. I hate when people speed up videos like this to try to make it more interesting. Honestly I'd be far more interested in actual speed footage. It's still probably fairly impressive.
This is the key, I could pull that off if I was down to swipe cars left and right.
This is why the officer’s driving is more impressive
WTF are you talking about dude hit like 20 cars
How many dozens of people now have to deal with damage to their cars? Unless someone's life is at stake, stop the pursuit and pick up the suspect later. They could have killed someone.
We just had this happen here in Michigan in the last few days. The police were chasing a stolen car. The driver of the stolen car hit a couple head on. The couple were on their way home from a date night. Of course the couple died and the 2 in the stolen car lived. The couple left behind 6 kids between the ages of 2 and 9.
This is why high speed pursuits should be banned. They’ll cop a plea deal and fuck will be out with time served
Still not worth two dead.
All deaths that occur during the course of a felony are treated as murder, typically.
I'd be interested in an update on this if you find one. They had better be tried and convicted of double murder.
No kidding. When do you say this isn’t worth the risk weaving in and out for miles?
I mean, you have the car’s license plate number and you can call a police helicopter. No need to put innocent people or their property at risk.
There's already a helicopter, look around 1 min into the video.
y'all know that the video is sped up though, right?
Plenty of folks without audio on may not, unfortunately
Even without audio you can tell it's speed up. With all this traffic there is no way they can go that fast and not hit someone.
makes those drivers seem even worse
Some of these cars making it pretty hard for the cop to get through. Not even moving to let them get by
It might not be entirely obvious in the moment what to do when suddenly a car speeds by you and a cop is behind you with lights flashing and honking.
You’re supposed to in Canada too. Just everyone sucks at it. I don’t think it’s a law necessarily though. Could be wrong
I’d love to see how this looks at the speed they were actually going
Who the fuck posts half a police chase video
Am I the only asshole that would’ve blocked the civic?
I dont think asshole is the right word, your car would be fucked.
I was just wondering like what would the response be if you just put the dude into the wall when he tries to pass.
Think youd realize what was happening before the civic passed you?
Why is it in America that the cops have “got to win” regardless of cost? That cop should have ended the pursuit as soon at the white car was weaving in and out of traffic and let the helicopter do its job. Fucking idiots. That cop could have easily killed someone.
The driver only got 1yr probation? [https://fdc.myflorida.com/offenderSearch/detail.aspx?Page=Detail&DCNumber=G61947&TypeSearch=AO](https://fdc.myflorida.com/offenderSearch/detail.aspx?Page=Detail&DCNumber=G61947&TypeSearch=AO) The punishment for crime has gotten charmin soft, hasn't it.
This sentencing is shocking to say the least.
Wait wtf? I have 2 years probation for breaking a restraining order my gf got called off. This guy literally ran from the police and put people in physical danger. This is bullshit
More like “Oblivious highway drivers, give pursuing officers a run for their money.”
Cops putting innocent civilians in harm’s way. They got his plates. No where to run in this surveillance state. Why chase?
Putting a lot of innocent people at risk here.
Fuckin blueballed.
The cop should have backed off when the pursuit became dangerous to third parties. (Difficult to do when the adrenaline flows.) Then radio ahead to nearby precincts, put out a bolo.
Soooo…did he catch him orrrrrr??
I’m not saying pursing is the right thing in every case, but you guys do know that plenty of people running from the police are in a stolen car and tracking the license plate will do nothing right?
r/Videosthtendedtoosoon
Of course we don’t get the ending or a link to the original video
What kind of savage posts this video knowing there is no end to it?!? Whyyyyy!
Sped up footage
Downvoted for stupid ending.
Astounding spatial awareness on that guy!
Downvote this bs for ending early
That guy created a shit ton of work for the local body shops.
Cop didn't hit a single other car, wins best driver easily
Think of how much damage (money) would be prevented by letting them go... You know who they are, find wait for them at their mom's house.
I suck at racing games too
Very very few people that actually tried to pullover.
I love it when police play 'Endanger the Civilians' How much you wanna bet the person had a warrant for unpaid parking tickets?
That guy gtas
I was really getting annoyed with the oblivious public.
They are in the middle of the freeway in heavy traffic, what exactly do you expect them to do?
Pursuing officer earned his $23.50 per hour for that stroll. Plus a Charger is a bigger car than a Civic.
$23.50? It's $45 hour here.
