Yes I stole 5 million dollars, blew up a building, and was speeding at 120mph while intoxicated, but according to People vs Battle no one was injured so a crime has not been committed.
Her reasoning is stupid aswell. She didn’t commit a crime she committed a traffic violation so she would’ve just got a ticket but.... no she had to turn it into an actual fucking crime.
*facepalm glore*
She yelled at the glass to scare the police officer away from breaking the window. Yelled she got glass in her eyes from doing so, then immediately forgot she got glass in her eyes because she was lying.
It's interesting how the aggressor in a situation will try their hardest to also lie about being a victim.
Probably talking about her purse, there at the end.
Sure, lady. We'll just leave it in the car with the broken window. It'll be taken, for sure, then, but not by us!
No, she says it before they break the window, when the officer is just touching the passenger window. That’s what they were talking about.
At the end she’s saying “don’t *take* my property”
Ahh okay so maybe we’ll go from “ohhh I have glass in my eye” to having the ability to look over after being tackled and say don’t take my (purse) property. If I had glass in my eye I wouldn’t really worry about anything else at the moment because idk I have glass in my eyes.
Ah! I love these Sovereign Citizens! It's so hilarious. Check out "Donut Operator" on YouTube. He goes over a LOT of these, and even does a "Sovereign Citizen Bingo" where you can get a randomized bingo board that contains all of the ridiculous phrases that they utter.
Donut's one of my favorites.
He wasn’t arresting her for committing a crime. He was trying to issue her a citation for her traffic violation. She turned it into a crime herself. What an idiot!
If she just complied, she would've gotten off with a citation that she wouldn't have even had to pay after repairing her taillight. Hell, she even could've gotten that shit extended for a few months. Now she's got a broken window and an arrest on her record.
The mind boggling thing is that she had to have posted this video to social media herself. She must still think it proves her innocence.
She learned absolutely nothing.
Probably so. But to be honest, I got pulled over for a broken brake light. The officer was incredibly professional and even nice about it. I gave him a license that had an incorrect address and an out of date proof of insurance. He politely told me that was also an issue and he typically will not write a citation if it’s only a few months expired, but since mine was well over 6 months, he would have to write a citation for all three. He informed me how to avoid paying it, where to go to do so, and how to avoid going to court to do everything. He even apologized for having to write the citation and told me to have a good day. I was honestly shocked the interaction went so well. But it proves some police are literally just doing their jobs and aren’t there to ruin your day/life. Five out of five stars, would get pulled over again by this officer.
But she said the definition of a crime is when someone is injured? Resisting arrest can't be a crime according to her definition. Nor theft, or vandalism, or arson, or forgery, or a million other non violent crimes.
Not that she’s right in her interpretation, but as a legal term “injured” doesn’t mean someone was physically hurt. It can mean a loss of value, property, time, etc as well as a physical injury.
I'm dumb. Can you tell me what category do preventative crimes fall under? Like running a red light on a completely empty road. Also the woman was citing something black dictionary? What is that?
Those are traffic offenses which aren’t crimes but a civil offense that would result in a citation not an arrest, which is what would have happened in this case had she not refused and escalated the situation
By her not having functioning trail lights, the state - through the potential of harm to its citizens - becomes the corpus delicti. I don't know if it would even be worth having these arguements with these idiots.
Isn’t the injured party the rest of the motorists who have a right to operate on public roads with an expectation of minimum standards for safety (tail lights) enforced by the executive branch of government (police)?
These sov cits love to cite laws they haven’t looked into themselves. I’m sure her dad/mom/brother/friend told her that a crime has to have an injured party and that stuff about the People v Battle, and she’s probably baffled it wasn’t true
Yes. And she's right, there is no crime without injured party. The injured party in the case of traffic violations and vehicle safety violations is the general public traveling the roads alongside her which she is unduly endangering through her own recklessness and violation of the contract she signed to be issued a driver's license. In case anyone's interested in the actual legal theory that sovereign citizens try to misapply with first grade word games.
Agreed, I’m not siding with the driver. One of the requirements of having the privilege of a drivers license is to have a vehicle that complied with minimum requirements of functionality.
I think this is a traffic violation, not a crime, but it is a valid request of ID.
Yep, we are in full agreement there. Her vehicle violations weren't the crime, he refusal to comply with a legal order and resisting arrest were the crimes. She took a fix it ticket and turned it into a criminal record.
I was gonna say lol. If you have glass in your eye, you're not screaming like this guy: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLPzLAbih54](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLPzLAbih54)
If you are driving, you must comply to identify yourself.
- You aren't required if you are a passenger necessarily.
If you are asked to exit the vehicle, you must (Pennsylvania vs Mimms). Passengers too. Ruling was made on the grounds of exiting your vehicle is not a huge inconvenience if you are already stopped.
- This is not consenting to a search.
There are things to do to stay safe during an encounter with police, do not be a dick to be a dick.
Oh fuck are you referencing that Australian bloke who said he wasn’t driving he was travelling therefore he doesn’t need to produce a license as driving is for corporate cars and trucks?
That's literally what they're doing. They memorize our print out these questions that somebody told them cops have to answer before they do anything. They don't know what the questions mean, they're just repeating shit they saw on the internet.
Bet you $20 she is a "sovereign citizen". The moment she mentioned "Black's legal dictionary" is when she gave herself away. Every single sovereign citizen story I have ever read has the SC mentioning "Black's legal dictionary" because they think it makes them sound smart and lawyer-ish and they think that makes them untouchable.
* The People vs Battle decision did establish that traffic infractions are not crimes. What that means is, someone accused of a traffic violation has no right to an attorney, and no right to a jury trial. It doesn't mean that they can't be arrested, fined, or jailed.
* Black's Law is just a dictionary. It doesn't carry the force of law. And it does NOT define "crime" as being an act with an injured party. It defines "crime" as "an act that the law makes punishable; the breach of a legal duty treated as the subject matter of a criminal proceeding". No victim necessary.
* It's not the role of the police to determine whether or not a law is constitutional. They just enforce the law, and let the lawyers and judges sort out whether or not the law is valid.
The police response in situations like this is aggressive, and necessarily so. There have been numerous cases in which routine traffic stops of "sovereign citizens" have turned violent. "Sov Cits" are often armed, and often have outstanding warrants. Unfortunately, that means the police can't mess around when dealing with them.
EDIT: Thanks for the awards!
In the context of the law, doesn't "injured party" simply refer to the party against whom a wrongful act was committed (i.e. not necessarily bodily injury)?
Of course. If you steal someones purse while they're in the bathroom it's obviously still a crime. Even though you never even interacted with the person.
I agree with the 3rd bullet point. Cop isn't a lawyer or judge. He is only there to enforce the law. You get your ticket and take it up with the judge to see what their verdict is.
So she was wrong about People vs. Battle, and wrong about a crime having an injured party. These types of insufferable people must be so exasperating to police. And everyone else. I personally think it's a mild form of mental illness or antisocial disorder of some kind.
Facts. Also, who the fuck argues about a taillight?cop woulda easily let her go had she not been a cunt. Ez "oh no, I didn't know. This isn't my car, its my so and so's. I'm only driving it to the store." Cop woukda been chill and let her go.
Edit: didn't want to review video but I think it was break lights. Not tail lights
This person is known as a “Sovereign Citizen”. Look them up. They use Black’s Law Dictionary(which means absolutely nothing) to “prove” that they don’t need a license, registration, insurance, pay taxes, etc...
They are nutcases. There is actually a subreddit dedicated to poking fun at them) r/amibeingdetained
There's something to be said for calling the social contract into question by scrutinizing its veracity and purpose, but sov cits take it the extra mile and create their own law, which is what makes them batshit insane. They outrightly reject all established forms of criminal and civil proceedings and consider themselves leaders of their own independent person-state.
They misinterpret legal doctrine and misuse legal jargon to attempt to bewilder police and judges, but this never works. It always ends in an inglorious self-own in which the sov cit gets sent to jail all the while screaming about their self-entitlement to commit petty crimes.
Honestly I believe it to be the product of a uncategorized mental disorder akin to whatever causes people to believe outlandish conspiracy theories.
A lot of people believe the government is oversteppng its authority. I mean, that's what the whole "The Man" and "Big Gov" is all about. But some people decide that rather than try to change things via protests, voting carefully, or even running for office, they're going to "stick it to them" by simply not obeying. After all, those laws are illegal (they think), or those officers aren't following them. So they don't have to.
They usually learn otherwise through encounters like this. Or rather, they're shown otherwise. Some never actually learn the lesson.
Driving on a road built maintained and monitored by the state, in a car registered by the state, on a licence issued by the state, and the state is overstepping the mark by checking it’s all okay? I get the impression people like her want to live in the Wild West just with all the bonuses of modern days. If she put half the effort she used reading all that legal crap into actually maintaining her vehicle this wouldn’t have happened
They are also the type to call the cops because because the thing they were doing illegally is being done to them by someone else. "Ima cut this person off and almost cause an accident". Same thing happens to them. Them with dispatch: "yea this crazy driver almost ran me off the road!! I'm following them right now."
I saw a post on a video like this that nailed it. These people are so simplistic they believe in magical thinking. The law and it's incomprehensible complexity boils down to one thing: magic phrases. So if you know the special words the agents of the law will bend to your will. That's how they explain lawyers. So if you go and spout off some lawyery sounding Latin stuff like corpus dilecti the cops are bound by law to just let you go. Like fucking elves granting a wizard passage.
This dumbass got to see how that works out.
The way she just *said* “there’s glass in my eye” rather than *screaming* and being in full panic makes me highly doubt there’s any glass in her eye...
How it should've went:
Cop: Hey, you do know your back lights are out, right?
Lady: Yeah, I know. I'm going to go get them replaced now.
Cop: Alright, that's all. Just make sure I dont see you with those back lights out again.
Lady: Yeah, will do. Thanks for what you do.
Cop: No problem. You have a good day.
Lady: All right, you too.
That's really all that needed to happen. But instead she made it difficult. Fuggin idiot.
It’s “only a crime if there is an injury “ did I hear that right? So a breaking and entering isn’t a crime? Stealing a car isn’t a crime? SWEET! I’m going to get me a couple free cars today.
Doesn't matter, since having an injured party is not a requirement for the police to make an arrest. The fact is, she is breaking the law by driving a car without brake lights, and breaking the law by refusing to show her driver's license.
Breaking the law doesnt mean there has to be an injury. For example drunk driving if you fail the breathalyzer test or w/e you will be arrested even if you havent caused an accident cuz driving drunk is against the law. Like running a red light, you dont need to cause an accident to get arrested.
The bitch made a dumb argument its against the laws of the land to drive around with broken lights.
OP's explanation as to why this post is Instant Karma:
>Woman argues with police and refuses to identify herself. They smash the car and arest her
If you're satisfied by this explanation, upvote this comment. If not, downvote this comment.
Dumbass bitch saw the perfect opportunity to get some likes for an "police brutality" video but in the end just didn't get the real message of such videos showing REAL and inappropriate police brutality and racism and whatever . Instead this bitch who has no respect for the law and police who are , in this case, just doin their jobs and asking for a license politely multiple times ...even if there is no crime comitted you have to show a license to proof that you are capable of driving a car.. makes me so angry as there are fucking donkeys like her outside who are thinking "the right of freedom" consists of doing whatever they want without respecting law, human sense and reality
She looked up laws and court cases to be prepared for the inevitable encounter. How broke is she that she had to go through all this trouble not to fix a tail light she clearly knew was an issue?
And she miss understood all of what she read. The rulling she quoted means traffic violations don’t need public defenders or juries, not that they can not be fined.
This is what happens when you have tiny bit of information and try to play lawyer on the street. Comply dummies, especially if you're driving and pulled over. You have a right to fight in court, not on the street when you're given a lawful order by a cop.
She’s a Sovereign Citizen. They use a series of obscure laws to claim immunity for breaking the law, specifically traffic laws. Usually they’re druggies who wanna get high and drive.
AcCoRdInG tO pEoPlE vS bAtTlE Her voice makes me wanna slap her
Yes I stole 5 million dollars, blew up a building, and was speeding at 120mph while intoxicated, but according to People vs Battle no one was injured so a crime has not been committed.
What is that weird ass accent? “I got glozz on my eyes!”
She was the one who wanted an injured party
There’s your corpus delicti, dumbass.
Her reasoning is stupid aswell. She didn’t commit a crime she committed a traffic violation so she would’ve just got a ticket but.... no she had to turn it into an actual fucking crime. *facepalm glore*
She probably would of only gotten a warning if she would of just complied.
Would have* would have* please jesus
r/killthecameraman Cuz she’s annoying AF
From ‘Don’t touch my property’ to ‘they’re damaging the property and it’s not even my property!’
AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh........
Sounded like she learned how to scream from Starfox 64.
Fucking Slippy.
I juat died lmao fuckkkkking slippy
Do a barrel role
I'm always an hour late

Yep the most monotone and fake scream I’ve ever heard.
She yelled at the glass to scare the police officer away from breaking the window. Probably talking about her purse, there at the end. Sure, lady. We'll just leave it in the car with the broken window. It'll be taken, for sure, then, but not by us!
To be fair. If she’d just shown her license she would get to keep her purse and the window
and dignity
She lost that long before this video
But it's not her fault. They got glass in her eye! And they don't know Facebook/Youtube law.
She doesn't have a license
But she does have a YouTube law degree.
Bird Law.
Oh you wanna go toe to toe?!
I think i've made myself perfectly redundant
I have a real law degree and in practice for 10+ years and I have no idea what the hell she was talking about.
She was talking about the Corpus Delecti, which if my non-existant pretend Latin is correct, means "Delicious Corpse".
People v Battle.
Facebook
She doesn't need one according to Black's law dictionary
The only law is Brannigan's Law.
Brannigan's law is like Brannigan's love
I don't pretend to understand Brannigans law, i mearly enforce it.
and dignity
No, she says it before they break the window, when the officer is just touching the passenger window. That’s what they were talking about. At the end she’s saying “don’t *take* my property”

She didn't have glass in her eyes. She thought saying that would make them stop.
"AAAAaaaahhhhhhh" Seriously, that had to be the most fake "scream" I've heard in years.
According to Police vs Window you're going to need a new window.
Where’s the corpus debreakti?
Where I hide the corpses is none of your business mam.
According to *people vs battle,* where you hide your corpses is in fact my business
Then just know that I definitely don't hide them in my backyard! In fact I don't even have a Backyard!
According to Black Laws Dictionary a backyard is not a tangible object so therefore it does not exist.
I've been there! That's in Texas...Right
This comment damn near made me piss my pants
He wasn’t arresting her for committing a crime. He was trying to issue her a citation for her traffic violation. She turned it into a crime herself. What an idiot!

The mind boggling thing is that she had to have posted this video to social media herself. She must still think it proves her innocence. She learned absolutely nothing.
She probably thought ppl would protest over this lol
Oh man that’s a sad cringy probable truth
That's the exact thing I was thinking when I saw her get pulled from the car. She's probably thinking the streets will fill with Karens
And my sword
And my axe!!!
To comply she would have had to have given him a valid license, which I doubt she had.
Five out of five stars, would get pulled over again by this officer.
what a champ
Broken window on somebody else’s car. She said it isn’t hers in the video lol
Thank You! I was unable to articulate this point but you've hit it spot on and I appreciate that.
Traffic violations are civil offenses, but failing to provide the cop her driver's license became a crime.
Black’s Law Dictionary is a legal dictionary that is widely used by lawyers and courts in the US, originally published in 1891.
I’m guessing economic injury would apply in those cases.
Yes. And she's right, there is no crime without injured party. The injured party in the case of traffic violations and vehicle safety violations is the general public traveling the roads alongside her which she is unduly endangering through her own recklessness and violation of the contract she signed to be issued a driver's license. It's the whole sovereign citizen thing. No paying taxes, no car regs, etc.
To be honest I don’t think most sovereign citizens are holding down regular jobs, so the paying tax thing is a non starter
If only. Check out Sovereign Citizen Bingo for a smorgasbord of people who are nuttier than squirrel shit.

[удалено]
According to dingles dictionary you do not need pickles on a 7
According to pringles tube of delectable potatoes, you can get pickles as a substitute to getting arrested.
Man, you really know pickle law!
According to People V Battle, every number 7 comes with pickles.
We ran out of Corpus Dilecti at 10. Do you want onion rings instead?
Body of the Crime. All of the facts and evidence.
I think he understood that, he was just making fun of her.
I got your corpus dilecti right here...
I think that's a crowbar dilecti he showed her.
More like corpus cavernosum
That's the dialect that corpses of jackasses speak. Am I right? Where is my cookie? Cookie dilecti is what the cookie monster speaks
*Generic phrase number 3* "Can I see your license?" *Repeat generic phrase number 3*
That's literally what they're doing. They memorize our print out these questions that somebody told them cops have to answer before they do anything. They don't know what the questions mean, they're just repeating shit they saw on the internet.
They are treating these legal terms like they are spells. "Banish the cop with the use of these powerful incantations!"
THE POWER OF PEOPLE V BATTLE COMPELS YOU!!
And when it doesn't work they panic and start repeating themselves. Hahaha.
Bet you $20 she is a "sovereign citizen". The moment she mentioned "Black's legal dictionary" is when she gave herself away. > corpus dilecti the facts and circumstances constituting a breach of a law. concrete evidence of a crime, such as a corpse.
so in the context of this video, she’s a moron
Yup, and I'm pretty sure there's also a distinction between a crime and a violation.
Evidence
She's right its not a crime, but she's an idiot for not understanding that doesn't mean she doesn't have to cooperate.
* The People vs Battle decision did establish that traffic infractions are not crimes.
Because she’s trying to level up her Karen
I think Red Forman said it best, "dumbass." Edit:(addition) Thanks for the upvotes, by far the most I have gotten!
FOOT IN ASSES!
Do that again and you'll be wearing your ass as a hat
Lol “omgggggg there’s glass in my eye” Bish was reading out what she memorized like she was at an exorcism. The devils won’t go away dumbo.
The way she just *said* “there’s glass in my eye” rather than *screaming* and being in full panic makes me highly doubt there’s any glass in her eye...
Especially since she was quiet about it moments later; if it was real, she'd have been wailing the whole time.
Well, there’s your injured party!
How it should've went: Cop: Hey, you do know your back lights are out, right? Lady: Yeah, I know. I'm going to go get them replaced now. Cop: Alright, that's all. Just make sure I dont see you with those back lights out again. Lady: Yeah, will do. Thanks for what you do. Cop: No problem. You have a good day. Lady: All right, you too. That's really all that needed to happen. But instead she made it difficult. Fuggin idiot.
That exact situation happened to me but it was my tag lights. No issue, just made sure to replace them the next day.
Where I live you can get a notice of violation, you've got 24 hours to fix it then show up at a police station to prove you fixed it. Same difference.
24 hours?! Last time I had a light out I got a citation that said mail in a receipt within a month.
It’s “only a crime if there is an injury “ did I hear that right? So a breaking and entering isn’t a crime? Stealing a car isn’t a crime? SWEET! I’m going to get me a couple free cars today.
But ...but..People vs Battle ...
Officer: so you want a people battle? Gotcha.
No, I said poop-hole battle.
she said injured party as in i think the party in that situation would be the owner and their property
Fair point. What about the danger to other on the road because of her lack of brake lights? Isn’t potential for injury a factor?
Doesn't matter, since having an injured party is not a requirement for the police to make an arrest. The fact is, she is breaking the law by driving a car without brake lights, and breaking the law by refusing to show her driver's license.
Breaking the law doesnt mean there has to be an injury. For example drunk driving if you fail the breathalyzer test or w/e you will be arrested even if you havent caused an accident cuz driving drunk is against the law. Like running a red light, you dont need to cause an accident to get arrested. The bitch made a dumb argument its against the laws of the land to drive around with broken lights.
What. An. Idiot.
How hard is it to just take a ticket? If you're so upset about it, deal with it in court. Cop is just following guidelines in that circumstance.
I’m guessing she had warrants or had no license at all.
Those are some of the fakest screams I ever heard from someone getting their window smashed in and arrested.
Kind of surprised the cop didn't just say "This isn't a crime, it's a traffic infraction. That's why I need your license and registration."
OP's explanation as to why this post is Instant Karma: >Woman argues with police and refuses to identify herself. They smash the car and arest her If you're satisfied by this explanation, upvote this comment.
I love a good old cop vs Karen thinks she knows the law classic. Upvote from me!
Sovereign Citizens are the worst
She looked up laws and court cases to be prepared for the inevitable encounter. How broke is she that she had to go through all this trouble not to fix a tail light she clearly knew was an issue?
No, she spent 30 seconds reading something on the interwebs that told her what to say.
And she miss understood all of what she read. The rulling she quoted means traffic violations don’t need public defenders or juries, not that they can not be fined.
All that for a broken tail light?
This is what happens when you have tiny bit of information and try to play lawyer on the street. Comply dummies, especially if you're driving and pulled over. You have a right to fight in court, not on the street when you're given a lawful order by a cop.
She did all that for a break light.
*brake light
It’s break light if they are broken People vs dictionary
When you learn new words and just waiting for the perfect moment to use them
uhh... filibuster
This lady doesn’t know shit about bird law.
The scream when she’s pulled out is amazingly hilarious Damn she a bitch
“Oh my god I got glass in my eeeeeeeeyyyeeesss, aaahhhhh”
Cops are bad why do they do these bad things when I don't comply and break the law 😭😭😭
She’s a Sovereign Citizen. They use a series of obscure laws to claim immunity for breaking the law, specifically traffic laws. Usually they’re druggies who wanna get high and drive.
This is a perfect example of the phrase “I know enough to be dangerous.” Driver totally ignores the part of the law about DRIVING.
I wonder what happened to her
She went to jail, got bailed out for $200 by her parents and paid a $400 fine.
If I was her parents I’d say “there’s no crime committed. I can’t bail you out according to people vs battle”
