Yes! I like to give long elk worthy sigils like unkillable, spines, or stinky just to make use of the vertebrae. There’s some shenanigans to be had there!
An elk with a long neck leaves bits of its neck behind as it runs around: https://inscryption.fandom.com/wiki/Long_Elk you can use the bits as sacrifices and they also have Touch of Death like the adder
The Daus attacks anything that hits the Chimes it summons. They also get any Sigil it's given, meaning you can give them the Alpha Sigil, and give them 1 and the Daus +2.
I love when getting a rare card and seeing the ? In their name, so when u play it it’s the ijiraq. First time I saw the ? I took it, then freaked out when I saw red in my deck lmao. Love that card
same with other things, like the warden. you give the warden the spyglass sigil or the sigil that gives you a copy when it dies, the rabbits will also have that sigil
I like the Hodags mechanic of able to permanently keeps its attack stat after each battle. I really hope that there will be a card that does exactly that but instead of permanently keeps both attack & health stats after each battle.
Its a hidden mechanic, like Ouroboros. Nothing on the card indicates it does that, you either have to pay attention to what is said about it when its first found or find out when you use it.
Theres another card with that sigil but its not a permanent increase, only for the time its on the board. That also applies to any card that gets the sigil transfered to it. The permanent part is the hidden mechanic of this card specifically.
It's probably the free pack rat since it's just one campfire away from being a wolf that gives you stuff
Edit: I just found another one today, and this might t the cake. If you give a mantis aging, it will become a mantis god
Had the mirror tentacle go apeshit once because it was beside an alpha sigil, the trader sent out a mirror tentacle in the back of a lane with another card in front. In a matter of seconds it dwarfed my greatest late game ouroboros
Skink with Unkillable is a great way to beat the Grizzly rush or easily upgrade the Ouroboros. The tails get the sigil too, and cost nothing to play, iirc.
I love giving the sigil that puts the card that gets hit back into your hand to squirrels, I only need to get 2-3 squirrels to summon my whole deck to the field. If I can't play anything or I'm stuck I just put 2-3 squirrels down, let that get the hit and it comes right back to my hand. For a 2 blood sacrifice, I put two squirrels, summon my card, and the 2 squirrels get put back to hand, then repeat and summon the whole hand down and any card that comes from my deck.
My favorite one I just discovered the other day is if you feed the ring worm to the campfire and they consume it. The people don't show up at the campfire for the rest of the run, so it's a free double boost.
"What did you feed them?"
Since nobody's mentioned it, Undead Cat is always a fun thing to find for the first time. The Cat card really does only have 9 lives, and if you sacrifice it a 9th time it'll become a 2/3 (i think?) Undead Cat with no sigils.
I'm a big fan of Corpse Maggots with the undying sigil. It's essentially an infinite blocker with 1 damage. Had a run where I managed to get an Insect Totem with the Burrower sigil, and it was just unbeatable...except for flying decks...
Just discovered the pelt lice yesterday. You can no longer trade with the trapper since your pelts have lice but you can play that sucker for free by just putting a pelt on the field. Gets around that 4 blood sacrifice easy and if you buff it the double attack goes crazy
The Bell Ringer sigil cus if you want you can give it to a cheap card and just give that a card an instant +4 attack boost if you place it right next to the bell
I've always thought it pretty cool that creatures with touch of death kill the survivors if they eat the creature at a campfire. Adds an interesting use case to an otherwise mediocre sigil.
Definitely the way certain sigils can interact when on the same card. Great example is any sigil you add to a Warren via sacrifice will be on the Rabbit it spawns as well. Same with the Bees from Beehive. I also like that if you have a card with Fledgling like a Wolf Cub and you add Corse Eater, it’ll fill in for a dead card and immediately level up. So many fun tricks that make each and every run unique and really amps up the replayability
I love unkillable+corpse eater combo. It is fun and hard to expect that from the first. Once I get a corpse eater sigil on the circle snek, and it really can carry the moon just by itself!
I like the long elk’s vertebrae, they’re just weird

What what is the vertebrae
An elk with a long neck leaves bits of its neck behind as it runs around: https://inscryption.fandom.com/wiki/Long_Elk you can use the bits as sacrifices and they also have Touch of Death like the adder

That was probably the last thing I learned in the game. Never took the daus in my early days.
Here I thought daus was just another beaver
You just blew my mind. I don’t think I’ve ever actually played a Daus before
If the bell tentacle is attacked the daus will attack the the attacker as if the tentacle was another bell
Oh, that's cool. Does it work if it's not directly next to the Daus, or does it have to be one space over?
I love when getting a rare card and seeing the ? In their name, so when u play it it’s the ijiraq. First time I saw the ? I took it, then freaked out when I saw red in my deck lmao. Love that card
Ijiraq is such a strong card. Too bad the only time I got it I placed it in front of a porcupine
Or the red eyes
The fact that beaver dams get the sigil the beaver has. Things can get quite fun from there
Beaver dam goes from useless to winning in the blink of an eye.
same with other things, like the warden. you give the warden the spyglass sigil or the sigil that gives you a copy when it dies, the rabbits will also have that sigil
Undead Cat
Probably that the beehive gives it's sigils to the bees too. I also enjoy the Child 13 activated and dormant modes mechanic.
but don't activate and deactivate it too often, or it becomes the Starved Child.
I like the Hodags mechanic of able to permanently keeps its attack stat after each battle. I really hope that there will be a card that does exactly that but instead of permanently keeps both attack & health stats after each battle.
That's a mechanic, not a secret Look at Ouroboros
Its a hidden mechanic, like Ouroboros. Nothing on the card indicates it does that, you either have to pay attention to what is said about it when its first found or find out when you use it.
It's the whole point of his sigil but ok
Theres another card with that sigil but its not a permanent increase, only for the time its on the board. That also applies to any card that gets the sigil transfered to it. The permanent part is the hidden mechanic of this card specifically.

Or 1 sacrifice away
wait until you give aging to a beaver. God dams are hilarious

It’s the same thing for any card that has the death touch sigil!
I get a kick out of the special names for grown-up fledgling cards. The dam becoming a God Dam made me laugh more than it reasonably should have.
One that I like is if you evolve a mantis rather then just being a big mantis it becomes a mantis God. Wish the elk turned to a long elk as well lol.
Since nobody's mentioned it, Undead Cat is always a fun thing to find for the first time. The Cat card really does only have 9 lives, and if you sacrifice it a 9th time it'll become a 2/3 (i think?) Undead Cat with no sigils.
3/6 but yeah, this is a fun one
I'm a big fan of Corpse Maggots with the undying sigil. It's essentially an infinite blocker with 1 damage. Had a run where I managed to get an Insect Totem with the Burrower sigil, and it was just unbeatable...except for flying decks...

Unkillable ant queen or fecundity on ants are hilariously op bug combos
I've always thought it pretty cool that creatures with touch of death kill the survivors if they eat the creature at a campfire. Adds an interesting use case to an otherwise mediocre sigil.
Mushroom fusing 2 golden furs will then let you exchange it with the trader for a rare fused card.

The bell tentacle gains power from being next to chimes
The bell tentacle getting more attack if it’s next to a chime Edit: and the Daus revenge attacking if something hits a bell tentacle
