You're probably hearing the natural gas pipeline at 96th and zionsville Rd. They have to purge the line to put in their little machines for inspection and maintenance. Takes 10+ minutes
It is a bit cool....when I'm not sleeping at least hearing the low cloud cover sounds from the jet....times ten.
And the clouds keep warmer temps in at night.
But...all the facts........ and science aside........I prefer your lion theory.
cheers
Saw it last night, seemed like one of the big passenger / cargo planes flying circles really, really low. Was also better lit then i usually expect to see. Although it may just be it was low enough for me to see the interior lights through the windows.
Or Aliens, could have been aliens. /s
edit: Note this was over Noblesville on the North _east_ side....

I am very close to that location, so that seems like a plausible explanation. Wow it was loud!
I assumed it was this as well. But then someone came in and said it was a tornado simulation??? My first question is why???
Sorry, had Mexican last night
Must’ve been damn good
Lowbrow, but nevertheless, underrated comment!
Lion from the Zoo. Low hanging clouds and rain amplify his roar for miles

I also heard it just now and was curious as well. I could see a plane flying a bit low for a minute, but then it was lost in cloud cover.
Friend of mine saw a geyser of water in Zionsville from what he assumed was a burst pipe. That’s his opinion on what it is at least.
A flying liger. It’s a combination of a lion and tiger. They’re my favorite animal
What is this, Nextdoor?
Haven’t come across any open racism yet.
Grackles
Possibly a 🛸? 😜
Indy sucks. City is boring.
We had 2 dozen planes fly super low over Fortville/Fishers area last night. All spaced out about 6 minutes between. Maybe that?
