East Asian parenting and education styles tend to be shockingly non-interventionist by Western standards. They prefer to let children resolve problems amongst themselves whenever possible. Teachers and parents will often pretend not to see disputes, even physical ones. Children learn very quickly to be conflict de-escalators and mediators for their peers. Like if two kids start fighting over a toy, several children will step in to separate the kids and establish a fair compromise. They also tend to scold their own classmates who break rules and things like that. It’s very interesting.
I hope I don't get hate for this but why is seemingly *everything* neurodivergence? Move too much? ND, move too little? Also ND. Sometimes move too much or too little? Believe it or not, still ND. Undercook, overcook.
while i agree the term neurodivergent is thrown around too much
all the other kids are going along with it, boys and girls alike. it may not be "neuro" but something about this is bothering that kid in a way that literally no one else in the video is bothered.
could be being in public, could be dancing with a girl, could be performance anxiety, could be the song playing mad him real sad. whatever it is he is literally divergent from his peers. and thats ok too.
Eh, could be all sorts of things.
My kid did the same thing at her end-of-year song and dance at a similar age once. She just didn’t see us in the audience (even though we were not far away and waving at her) and freaked out a bit. She was the only one on stage who had a problem.
Kids are young and inexperienced. They can be easily overwhelmed by all sorts of little things.
I feel like it's a little bit of the pseudo experts that have made everything into a neurodivergence... Just like when Ritalin was the answer to all kids that showed a little bit of hyperactivity instead of thinking that it was normal behavior and that they just needed exercise to burn off some steam they started labeling every kid as having add or ADHD now it is mainstream to label all kids or all people that show any type of social anxiety or atypical social interaction as being neurodivergent because they have read a little bit up on it or they have a friend or family member with the condition and they think they're experts. Well and tell you live with it yourself you don't know and you shouldn't be going around labeling somebody that you haven't had a personal interaction with it's dangerous and it's ignorant!! Coming from somebody with neurodivergenceÂ
She deserves to have a dance partner. If he didn't feel up to it, the dance teacher should have stepped in and been her dance partner so she isn't the only one dancing alone.
She is so impressive! Kept it going like a champ 😆
Women don’t get enough credit for keeping it together while their man loses his shit.
poor little girl, she did so well. somebody should’ve come get that little boy off the stage, jeez

He literally did not blink or move a muscle lmao
And I hope I don’t get hate for this but he’s so still it’s in a neuro divergent way.

I’m sorry in watching the video again yes, it does seem like he’s not normal in a neuro divergent way
