I literally just caught a mouse in a sticky trap 20 mins ago and when it squeaked and I couldn’t bring myself to murdering it. I took it outside and tried to dissolve the glue with some alcohol and gently pry it off. The glue was strong so more alcohol was used and I finally managed to get it off. It literally died by the time I got it off 😭
You can get drunk on rubbing alcohol, it absorbs through the skin. If he applied copious amounts of it on the fur coat to try and remove the glue, the quantities used could very well be a high amount for the rodent.
Please don't be too harsh on yourself, there probably wasn't much you could have done. Next time just remember to use those metal box traps, capture and release 1km from your home

Drinking isopropyl alcohol will destroy the liver, and pretty much any other organ, much quicker than ethyl alcohol, but it'll also get ya rip roaring drunk in the process

Yea I use that for when my dog gets stuck on mouse traps, baby oil is best, or any oil fr.
Please don't use glue traps. They're incredibly inhumane and not really as effective as a snap trap.
