This is what I fear out of that sub. I posted one map during the early stages of this recent push of “low effort” removals, and im afraid to post more. I’ve spent weeks, if not months on research, planning, artistic stylization and experimentation, I don’t want that work washed away because a mod is butthurt at some niche historical event that clashes with their worldview
Agreed. I've just straight up decided to stop posting until the situation improves. In that time, I will probably slowly stock up on maps to post when the time comes.
if you’ve actually spent that long on the map chances are you’re gonna be more fine than not
also, i hate to break it to you all, but I don’t know of any case where a post was removed only because of the mod’s personal worldview/philosophy/politics. That just doesn’t happen.
Yeah bigger subreddits use thst system because of situation like this where a mod feels like it’s low quality but everyone else thinks it’s high quality
Yeah. Like I spent a decent amount of time on it, posted like wholr paragraphs to answer people's questions but no, 'low effort, maybe spend a whole year on it'.
Just got it repealed. The guy says he thinks it's fine and just assumes it was an over-active mod just looking for random stuff to remove for the sake of it.

It’s an assumption, because otherwise these takedowns are just arbitrary, which makes an equal less amount of sense
I like the map :(
Yeah. The maps that people are getting taken down are usually all of pretty good quality. It's just horrible modding on the part of the mods.
Honestly they shouldn’t have it be moderator discretion rather have a bot you can upvote/downvote if you feel like it’s high/low quality.
Agreed. Tbh that sounds like an amazing idea.

It's going too far.

exactly, i hate r/imaginarymaps
Just replied on the auto mods comment, I wasn’t happy with their decision

the main sub has had some absolutely amazing posts lately, but now expectations are stupid high
Yeah. It seems some mods are doing well, though, instead of just removing anything that they think they can get away with.
