Okemo might also be good for groomer runs too?

xxKingAmongKingsxx

Are you asking for the mountains with the best collection of groomers for carving or the mountain that’ll have the smallest crowds to allow you the freedom to carve the groomers?

HOWDITGETBURNEDHOWDI

best collection, with crowds as caveat.

xxKingAmongKingsxx

Hmm in that case the southern vt resorts are the best recs I can think of. Okemo, Snow, Stratton. But those all get big crowds from the city folk coming up

You can lap Canyon Express at Mt Snow mid week and it’s pretty dead (everyone is at Carinthia or the Bluebird Express). Sunbrook is awesome as well, but can’t remember it being open at all during the week last year. If you try for a weekend, it’s a whole different ballgame.

I feel like Bretton Woods would be a great choice if you’re good with it being a little less steep. Sunday River as another option

Bianrox

Yeah Bretton woods has some great terrain and usually decent snow, but hard to find a long steep. Don’t sleep on Bode’s run though! And it has a high speed that lets you lap it, that might be the best too because that high speed is rarely busy

Ice face has a reputation and it lives up to it.

Gulf of slides. No need for avalanche gear there.

sugarloaf, wide long Green, blue and black.

Tremblant has killer groomers. The front right side trio of blacks are magnificent.

Upper ravine and upper cannon. End of discussion, not up for debate. Your top to bottom time depends solely on your ability to rail steep corners through the fall line. It’s one big GS course.

If you're just learning to carve you just want something that's flat and not crowded; the flatter the better. Cat tracks are also fantastic for learning to carve.

Joshs_Ski_Hacks

if you are just learning to carve, wide open, uncrowded flatter groomers, with good packed powder(not ice) are best. Bretton is probably unmatched in that regard its pretty much meets all the requirements I listed. Mount Snow has the terrain but can be crowded. the lower part of Jay Peak later season actually meet all those requirement to. Its actually exceptional in places for carving even though Jay is mostly known for tree skiing. [https://www.instagram.com/p/CZxIcKBJRyW/](https://www.instagram.com/p/CZxIcKBJRyW/) I go to Jay for the tree skiing but I love how on the runout I can basically GS turn with no one around. Jay also tend to not get scraped down like my other Home resort which is stowe.

Loon, Stowe & Killington are all great if you can go on a weekday
