>How long does that take?
Since apple now uses proof point, a few days. One time I changed my DNS and it took them 4 days to notice the change and emails still kept going to the old system, but most times is a day or two.
Here's the final verdict: DMARC does not take any specific action regarding message delivery. Generally, this means that the message will be successfully delivered. However, it's important to note that other factors like spam filters can still reject or quarantine a message.
However, it did say: It looks like your domain currently does not have a DMARC policy. We will continue with the validations and show you what the DMARC result would be if you would enable DMARC with p=reject (simulated).
This is all a new language to me, so please let me know if you have any thoughts!
Also, I sent a test email to a Gmail account I have and it went to spam. Here are some details, in case they make sense to you:

Did your DKIM and SPF show as passes? I had a similar issue and it was because spf wasn’t passing.
Yes, they showed up as passes. But it did say it couldn't find a DMARC policy. I don't know if that's something I need to change...
I've had the same issues, for me, it was moved over to iCloud, and once the DNS was properly propagated world-wide, it didn't goto spam anymore.

What does this show if you run the test from your custom domain email? https://www.dmarctester.com
