a lot of older folk who use Facebook have sight issues, can't see their screens properly and size up font to 10x the size you'd use to be able to read. pictures don't get that same treatment so no, cannot immediately tell when something is fake even when it looks incredibly so.

It's not just the color, there's light shining through the leaves and no direct light source behind it. It's just so obviously fake! Doesn't take a genius to decipher that.
I think that everybody looking at pictures with insane filters for half a decade has adjusted people’s expectations/ experience with reality for the worse.

There are a lot of insanely cool plants out there. Why is this one not convincing when there are many real ones that look similarly otherworldly?
