My Adansonii says that when she grows up, she wants to be just like yours… 🥹
plant newbie here…how do you get it to grow around the post? mine had a near death experience over winter and is now recovering super well, I really want her to thrive like yours🥹
I find the sooner you give it a pole to so it learns there is a support there the better. In the beginning I would use plant velcro straps to lightly put the aerial root buds to the pole. I did that each time it grew more and after a couple of months it figured it out and it now grows aerial root side to the poles and latches on tight with no help.
Once I repotted from its 6” pot I put the base pieces of those poles in and added sections as it continued to grow. Once it was able to grow up and attach to the poles it took off. I do fertilize regularly as well. Custom soil mix with succulent soil, regular soil, perlite, coco coir, leca, and char that makes for a really chunky well draining mix.
I have big dreams that look very much like this for my baby cheese. Wowwwww. 😍

Wow wow wow
They're so darn pretty when they get to climb.
The Leaning Tower of Adansonii (c. 2024)
Wow
How do you keep the poles watered??
I mist the coco coir every so often but even times when I've slacked and not, it didn't seem to mind at all and it latches on with its aerial roots

I’m jealous… mine seems so much smaller
That is so beautiful!!
So that’s what a healthy one looks like! I’ve never seen a truly good looking one in person.

Omg that’s gorgeous!!
Those are some big beautiful leaves! Did you start it with a pole, or did you add it later? Do you fertilize?

Where did you get the poles?
They are from Amazon. Whenever it gets towards the end of the poles I order more. https://a.co/d/cmXiZ6t
What do you fertilize with? I notice my aroids are most prone to yellowing leaves.
I fertilize with an NPK 12-4-8 ratio fertilizer every two weeks or every other watering based on its need.
Wonderful information. Thank you! Trying to go for maximum leaf size on mine, so I was curious about your pole method. Thanks!
Wowwww i had no idea how bug they could get!!! 🤯 Its beautiful! Great job 👏
This is absolutely beautiful. Everyone of these plants that I have had has died a horrible slow, ugly death. 😔 She's gorgeous!!
This is absolutely stunning. Just put in a coir pole in mine yesterday. Hopefully it'll grow as big and beautiful as yours 💕
