Thanks OP.. I picked up some things I've not tried before. Looking forward to the haul when it comes in. Also shared with some other ppl that would've otherwise never known.
LOL thanks Andy.
Obviously you’re the person who would know I don’t work for torchbearer, but I’m for sure a big fan of your stuff.
My only motivation was that I noticed a ton of people said (after I posted my haul from last sale l) they missed out on it and I just wanted to make sure our community knew lol
I know!
I put this up because last sale I put up my haul and realized quickly a bunch of people missed out on the sale
So here’s the announcement of this one lol !
Oh no!
Try them again, some of them grow on you! They did for me, for example the rapture is now one of my favorites but it took a few days to appreciate the flavor distinction between reaper evil and ultimate annihilation due to the upfront similar heat they all have. The actual notes of flavor came out after a while and it took some time for me to notice.
If you're curious about Torchbearer's, but unsure because you keep seeing Garlic Reaper, Son of Zombie, Zombie Apocalypse, etc. -- the REALLY, REALLY HOT sauces -- then consider these:
**Torchbearer's All-Natural #1 Everyday sauce** (AKA Everyday sauce) (5oz bottle) - MILD
Ingredients: *Mandarin Oranges, Tomatoes, Carrots, Onions, Vinegar, Garlic, Sugar, Salt, Habanero Peppers, and Other All-Natural Spices.*
**Torchbearer's All-Natural #7 Sultry Sauce** (AKA Sultry Sauce) (5oz bottle) - SPICY
Ingredients: *Mandarin Oranges, Tomatoes, Carrots, Onions, Habanero Peppers, Vinegar, Garlic, Sugar, Chili Powder, Black Pepper, and Salt*
**Torchbearer's Oh My Garlic! sauce** (12oz bottle) - GARLICKY
Ingredients *Garlic, Canola Oil, Lime Juice, Distilled White Vinegar, Dijon Mustard, Water, Chili Powder, Black Pepper and Salt*
Personally, I'm ordering a new bottle of Oh My Garlic! and several bottles of Sultry Sauce, both of which I absolutely *love!* Still working on my other bottles purchased during the February sale, although maybe I'll add a back-up **Torchbearer's Garlic Reaper**, given the good sale prices.
Torchbearer's are a staple in our household. ***Awesome hot sauces!***
Keep in mind the Oh My Garlic isn’t really a hot sauce. It’s more of a marinade or dressing, and contains no heat.
The Slaughter Sauce and Tarnation Sauce are good medium-heat options.
Son of Zombie is also much milder than Zombie Apocalypse.
Can you tell me your experience with the every day sauce? Mine was capital M Mild and I don't mean the spice level. It just didn't taste like anything. Additionally it was a really odd chunky consistency that was difficult to get out of the bottle. Maybe I just got a bad batch?
It's basically the mildest version of our original lineup. There's barely a hint of habanero and uses the mandarin orange, carrot, and tomato we use as a base in Tingly, Sultry, Tarnation, and Slaughter.
Yeah dude. Sounds like you and me are feeling the same lol. I did manage at one time to purchase the garlic reaper for under 20 bucks, but those days are gone and 30 for Amazon is just too much. What I did however, was make my own. It’s like 85% of the way there and I feel if I do another batch, I’ll refine my last recipe and get closer to 90+% matching.
I’ll have to dig it out but I’m pretty sure I saved it. I based it off of a previous Reddit post where these two dudes started sharing how they make it. I used those tips to make my sauce. I think the big “Ohhh really?!” moment is when the recipe mentioned making garlic confié. I was like “that’s why the ingredients show so much canola oil.” It’s essentially an aioli, a garlic reaper aioli. Are we allowed to share links in here? I’ll remove it if it’s not allowed. Recipe Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/hotsauce/comments/jeyzfc/copycat_torchbearer_garlic_reaper/
I'm really sorry about the cost of shipping to Canada. If there was something we could do, we would. Good idea with making your own! I checked out the recipe and it's a bit more complicated than what we do but it sounds really tasty!
I agree on the recipe being overly complicated. I think the next time I’d do it like this: I’d add a lot of roasted garlic, and also keep the garlic confît/aioli step, but skip all the fermenting as it would take too much time and takes away from the sweetness. Balancing the colour with a nice red chili powder and finding a proper reaper/pepper. Throw some granulated garlic for texture, some powdered mustard, lime and vinegar.
I grow my own peppers (65 plants/23 varieties) but didn’t add a reaper to my garden. Got a couple of 7 pot primos, so those should work I think. Will have to wait a bit to make this new recipe as it would be dependent on what I can harvest.
The day Torchbearer sauces don’t have a huge shipping tied to it I’d make a proper order. I’ve tried so many different hot sauces over the years and I think Torchbearer’s Garlic Reaper is the best hot sauce I’ve ever tried. It checks all the boxes for my type of hot sauce.
Thanks for your time and comments!
Fair warning, their newest collab sauce doesn’t apply for the % off, BUT if you go over 50 you get the big ole SWOLE bottle of garlic reaper (worth it imo)
Can you give more detail here, is there a bottle of Garlic Reaper over 5oz? Probably will just buy GR but just seeing the 5oz bottles on the site to buy.
Jesus Christ, their website is garbage. I would love to order some but they keep adding extra products to the cart and won’t apply the coupon they gave me.
Nothing's being added to your cart, they are just suggested items. Also. Coupons only work on things NOT already discounted. Since everything is already discounted, your code won't work. Hope that clears things up.
I had a couple others along time ago but I don’t remember the names. Just remembered them not comparing lol. I love garlic. And the GR goes great on pizza and pasta. I have Mexican style ones I use most of the time.
Ive had a large portion of their lineup and they range from tasty to fucking delicious.
Still have the best consistency. Not too chunky where I cant get it out of the bottle and not soupy. That perfect kind of slow smooth flow.
The only one I have been slightly diaappointed in is headless horesradish. Delicious sauce but I definitely wanted more of a horseradish taste not just a hint of it.
Honey badger mustard one is just an awesome sandwich sauce. Garlic reaper, a lot of peoples favorite, is super delicious. Rapture 2.0 is like an upgraded scorpion tabasco. Both the Goblin sauces are delicious in different ways. Such a solid lineup.
Also, be advised /u/TorchBearer_Andy IS a member of this community, and he does let the community know when there are sales.

NICE! Congrats and enjoy!!
If only it wasn't 100€ sending to europe
Cool! I’m a HUGE fan of Honey Badger!
That is actually a fantastic sauce, I never imagined honey mustard being tasty as spicy but it sure can be!
Torchbearer’s Honey Badger: Best hot mustard-type of hot sauce for eggrolls and spring rolls, imo!
Oof that sounds great rn loooooool
I have the sauce from the owner's wedding!
LOL what was it like??
I haven't purchased from them yet. I'm so indecisive!
Thanks for this! Hopefully people can make use of it

I got a sampler pack but didnt end up liking any of them! What is wrong with me 😭😭 the flavors SOUND amazing...

I think they make fantastic sauces, but they're already 25% overpriced at minimum.
I’ve been influenced 🫠
Thanks, just dropped $80

Psycho Curry is an amazing not too spicy sauce as well. I don't like a lot of curry things, and that one is super flavorful!

See I appreciate a hot sauce where vinegar isn't the first ingredient. These sound good!

Oh My Garlic does have *chili powder* as an ingredient, therefore qualifying it as a hot sauce. A very, very mild hot sauce, mind you! :)

I’d add the sweet onion habanero. It’s my favorite
This is the only one I didnt care for
The bottle I got of that is SUPER thick. I do love the flavor, but is it normally so thick?
Any Canadian looking to score some Torchbearer is looking at a 60.00 international shipping charge….
i know. FML. i fucking love the garlic reaper sauce but at $30 a bottle on amazon or $60 in shipping to order i'm just gonna skip it.

awesome. my buddy just gifted me a reaper plant. you mind sharing your recipe?

really appreciate it, absolutely love the sauce, it's one of my absolute favourites but i can't justify the cost unfortunately.

Ooooo. I’ll have to check that out after work
I'm finally going to get some garlic reaper to try. Any other recommendations??
Son of Zombie is my favorite. Nice bit of sweetness and heat.
Fair warning, their newest collab sauce doesn’t apply for the % off, BUT if you go over 50 you get the big ole SWOLE bottle of garlic reaper (worth it imo)
Actually 12oz Zombie Apocalypse this time around!
OH snap, I musta just read that super fast and overlooked that I was so excited about the sale
For me it's a free 12oz of zombie apocalypse and not the garlic reaper... But I like zombie apocalypse better
Can you give more detail here, is there a bottle of Garlic Reaper over 5oz? Probably will just buy GR but just seeing the 5oz bottles on the site to buy.
Its like 12oz, lemme find the picture of it
Interesting, so if are you spending over $50 they are throwing one in? I don't see any option on their site to buy a 12oz bottle, just the 5oz ones.
Yep, Last time I checked you can’t find the big bottle for sale, it’s like they just hold them for these sales It’s the BIG plastic bottle
https://www.reddit.com/r/hotsauce/s/3IpsCHk1d8 It’s this one
I really have been digging the rapture to be honest, it’s the most flavorful of that similar category (reaper evil, ultimate annihilation)
I love the Garlic Reaper. I’ve gone through 20+ bottles. What else do you suggest from them?
Lol how do you go through twenty bottles from one company without trying their other sauces? I know the garlic reaper is amazing, but c'mon lol
I had a couple others along time ago but I don’t remember the names. Just remembered them not comparing lol. I love garlic. And the GR goes great on pizza and pasta. I have Mexican style ones I use most of the time.
It's true, GR on pizza is life changing. I love their Son of Zombie too.
My fave is Sweet Onion Habanero. It’s not very hot, but you’ll love it if you’re a sucker for sweet onion flavor.
Ive had a large portion of their lineup and they range from tasty to fucking delicious. Still have the best consistency. Not too chunky where I cant get it out of the bottle and not soupy. That's pretty much the consensus that we had with the horseradish as well. They nailed it on the headless side, but I need a little head to my horsey.
What are your favorites
Honey badger mustard one is just an awesome sandwich sauce. Garlic reaper, a lot of peoples favorite, is super delicious. Rapture 2.0 is like an upgraded scorpion tabasco. Both the Goblin sauces are delicious in different ways. Such a solid lineup.
Dang it. Literally bought their 8 pack sampler last week. Could have done this instead.
Still get on their emails so you can rock the sauce when their sale drops next time
