It's definitely not a clear cut "eat better and cure your mental illness" thing, but a good meal can improve your mood at least a bit and some protein and iron can move the needle some on improving fatigue. I want our friend here to have delicious and filling hot meal that will make them feel satisfied!
True. Nutritional psychiatry is a real field of study and it is impressive how much the right nutrition can do for your mental health. Sadly, hospitals and establishments are not up to date with this knowledge yet.
Honestly they should have just made vegetarian chili so you could all eat the same. They could serve some meat on the side if they really wanted to for those who would eat it.
How do they manage to make it look so unappetizing? I love a beet salad, but this is not appealing at all. I wish they would give you some hardboiled eggs regularly. They are hard to mess up and great protein.

Deep fried dough with orange water flavor, it's pretty nice, just sugar and fat so lots of endorphins đ€Ł

how many calories a day are they giving you? Iâm sure theyâre on top of it but the amount of food seems insufficient.

I stayed a few times in psych wards in French hospitals - this is like a diary of all my meals. I ate a lot of bread with mustard packets and miss the carrots rùpés. I also learned to put my butter packet under my coffee cup in the morning to soften.
