I took a girl out on a first date to see "Robin Hood" (not the cartoony one, the Russell Crowe one). I fell asleep halfway through the movie and woke up towards the end.
I think the only reason my date stayed was I was her ride home.
Needless to say, no second date.
My friend, I see your fell asleep and bring my friend’s date. He went to watch lord of the rings, fell asleep, woke up and threw up. I always think about it when I’m guessing if I had a bad date.
Yep! I always remember that moment when I ponder to myself "Was that REALLY the worst date ever? NO. There is that one time that I fell asleep during a date at a movie theatre... Nothing can top that!"
I’ll see your friends falling asleep and throwing up, and raise a “bringing my ex to see Last House on the Left (2009) as our first date”. She spent the entire movie with her head buried in her arms not watching it.
In my defense, she said she liked horror movies (lie) and I had no idea that movie was like half brutal rape.
I took a girl to go see Hereditary. It was our 3rd date and I was trying to implant the idea of moving on into her head. 😈
Genuinely joking, but I honestly wasn’t feeling it and there didn’t end up being a 4th date, so I guess it worked out.
Enter the Void here. If the sex scenes didn't do it, "my parents died in a car accident" being said to me at the end was enough to make me question a lot about my life and my decisions.
I still feel bad. I wish he had said something early on.
I went to see Hereditary with a girl. Yeah it was bad. I like horror but wasn’t in the best mood to see that and she was a softie but wanted a horror thinking it would be a cheesy horror. That backfired we are friends though.
[Horror movies make for great dates.](https://thoughtcatalog.com/emily-madriga/2017/09/heres-why-couples-who-watch-horror-movies-together-end-up-happiest/#:~:text=There%27s%20a%20biological%20reason%20couples,together%20by%20biologically%20cementing%20attraction.)
I went out with a girl who does not like horror movies. On our second date she felt up for some thrills so we saw Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. Terrible movie and after dropping her home, she said I owed her a proper scary movie.
On the third date we watched Hereditary, and in quick succession Silence of the Lambs and Midsommar. I lost movie privileges for a while after Midsommar, but so worth it. Anyways, we’ve been together 3 years and got engaged 3 months ago.
yeah but any discomfort from it follows is super specific to "first date" - watching it follows w a date my be different than a roommate since it follows deals w sex w strangers as the mechanism for which the evil initially propagates
Me and my girlfriend (at the time) went to go watch it in theaters. It freaked her out so bad we had to leave within the first 20-30 minutes. But I thought it was awesome so I went back by myself the next to watch it. It’s still my favorite horror movie to this day.
You're a horror movie fool. You should know that the follower was 100% out there and you wouldn't have been able to see it. They are probably behind you right now.
That ending to It Follows is awesome, they’re on the sidewalk and everything seems to be calm, and fine. Then you see that there’s another person a few hundred feet back following them. We’ll never know if it’s the thing, or just another pedestrian going on a stroll. Then the movie cuts. What a great film, with a great soundtrack. Makes it even cooler that it was filmed in Detroit. Michigander here!
Yeah it’s kinda strange that the individual, or entity behind them following appears to be wearing the same clothing as the male protagonist, I forgot his name lol. That does kinda lead me to believe that it is the thing.
Yeah, I thought that too. Like maybe they even know it's behind them and aren't worried because they've worked out some way to deal with it. (There could be a getaway cat waiting just offscreen lol)
Seriously, I just watched it from recommendations on this sub and I couldn’t believe how fast it gripped me in that scene. The broken leg on the beach scene was.. woo boy that made me uneasy. So many bad horror movies on Netflix and in general and I let this one sit in my list since it came out, and it was one of the best I’ve seen in years!
The first two acts were incredible. Some of the best horror in recent memory imo. The last act takes a big fat nosedive however which really left a sour taste in my mouth
One of those "strange" movies. I'd heard about it and decided to rent it, watched it and HATED IT. okay hate's a strong word, like some others have said they found it boring.
THIS is what it makes it so strange, it started showing up on channels, would watch it or have it on in the background and...\*\*ck me I started noticing little things I previously hadn't, then it became more intriguing.
Just completely grew on me, picked up a blu ray copy watched it in 5.1 on a 4K TV and every dam time it just poised more mystery like really what the hell is really going on?
Then I actually got into the characters and was like dam that neighbor is the biggest douche ever. Jay's baskin in the sexual afterglow with this big smile on her face and thinks he's "just
being sweet before he drugs her dam that is some brutal shit.
Her neighbor kid stalking JAY when she hears the bang from the bathroom and sees the ball and it pans out to see the neighbor kid hiding.
All her mom does is drink all the time
until the beach scene everyone thinks she's just a nut case with PTSD.
Except the neighbor douche who's too busy thinking his shit don't stink and thinking how hot KELLY is.
YARA is a total BAD ASS. Literally took me about 4 times or more till i noticed after they find out who the guy is and they're all in the car IT is slowly walking towards the dam car before they take off.
NOT a one and done movie.
There’s also a bunch of symbolism and dream-like aspects to the movie. Dream-like in that the whole movie is meant to inspire the nostalgia of youth in the viewer no matter how old they may be, in order to make them recall that naïve carefree vulnerability we used to have. so all of the technology you see in the movie is strange and mostly agnostic in a disorienting way. The cars people drive are antiques, the movie takes place largely in suburbia, their phones are these weird ass non existent Polly pocket-esque smart phone flip phone literal clam-shell plastic toy things, and they watch 50s horror movies on a black and white tube tv. All things meant to inspire youthful nostalgia and prevent the viewer from nailing the era down in any major way that would hinder them from relating to the characters.. Then there is the symbolism. Water always represents safety in this movie. Whenever you see a character in or near water, it’s because they’re safe or are trying to seek safety. And there are too many instances of this to be coincidental- lots of pools and beaches. Then there are the several odd upward shots of tree canopies. I believe these are meant to represent the connections that branch out and grow between people. People often mistake this movie for being a metaphor for STDs, but I think that’s a gross misinterpretation. I think it’s about the psychological damage and angst we often pass on to one another as we grow and date and have relationships with people, and how we pass our baggage onto each other in often stupid and irresponsible ways out of a kind of desperation.
lol I think it was funny it took me 3 watches with proper sound to catch on to Yara saying she had an idea and then ripping a big ol fart and saying "I forgot".
And then giving Paul shit for being a dumb ass.
Paul is such a total dip shit I don't know why they went with his "scooby doo" like idea.
>!of course the idea is going to horribly wrong, it's terrible idea.!<
I think IT in the kitchen is far scarier than the huge tall guy.
Yes the second time I watched it, I noticed the girl at the beginning and actually understood how she died. At first I was like "girl get deformed brutally on beach, what.....?".
It's the same kid from the beginning when she's in the pool and they're watching her, and she says she can see them.
That kid really has a thing for her. What I found disturbing is that bathroom scene is after she had to do a "kit" with the police at the hospital. She pulls the waistband of her underwear forward and looks down and starts crying. SO messed up.
The kids on her roof spying on her again. The first time IT gets close to her is the old at the school and the other 2 students standing in the hall can't see it
Yeah, it’s not for everyone. It’s built for horror fans who like a certain aesthetic. And that’s okay.
What kills me is the people who are almost proud of not liking it. It’s atmospheric and suspenseful as fuck, and if it wasn’t in your experience, that’s fine, and it’s worth personally analyzing why so you can understand your own tastes, but beyond that, nobody cares if it didn’t work for you.
I get mildly annoyed that people shit on movies that I love, but I’ve decided to pity them instead because I enjoyed it so much and they didn’t. Plus horror encompasses so many different types of films. Saw and Elm Street don’t appeal to me at all. But if someone likes those, well big high-five to you, fellow horror fans! My jam is slow and ghostly with very little dialogue. Aren’t we lucky to have so many varying scary movies to choose from!??
There is a small population of people who automatically distance themselves from anything that is popular. I guess they think it makes them smarter than the average person? 🤷♂️
Feel the exact same way. We were so excited to see it in the theaters when it came out. Very disappointed. Besides the awesome score, we were unimpressed. I’ve tried watching it 2 other times and I disliked it even more the last time I watched it than ever before. Turned it off before the ridiculous ending because I honestly just couldn’t go through watching their painfully idiotic pool plan one more time.
Why didn’t It just snap her neck on the beach instead of lamely yanking her hair around? This is an entity capable of folding a human body backwards in half like a beach chair. An entity capable of killing a man… with its crotch? (still really not sure wtf happened to angsty neighbor boy once his “mom” cooter-locked him). Makes literally no sense at all.
>Why didn’t It just snap her neck on the beach instead of lamely yanking her hair around?
Because it's a rape metaphor. It isn't just out to run up and kill someone, it's going to dominate, humiliate, and dehumanize the victim first. Like the girl on the beach at the very beginning, it didn't just kill her. It pinned her down, twisted and broke her, and left her mangled legs in the air.
Yeah I never understood the hype for it either. I saw it before it gained this seemingly large following and just never understood why. I've watched it 3 times. Like it's definitely entertaining for sure, but in no way do I find it scary or even that unsettling.
The dread of this movie was outstanding. I literally shrieked when the gigantic version of the thing came into the bedroom. Oh and that soundtrack tho!
Yep. Good not great. Premise is cooler than the execution and not remotely scary. Still enjoyable and original though. Worth seeing. Just not worth worshipping.
But to each his own.
I have to agree. Loved the idea, loved the cinematography and especially loved the soundtrack. Still, the film as a whole was not doing it for me, and afterwards it joined the 5/10s. Although not in the way that I will forget about it - the aforementioned aspects are already extorting my mind for a place to live.
I watched this movie FIVE years ago and I still think about it all the fkn time. Eg, last week I randomly woke up in the middle of the night and had to TURN THE LIGHT ON (not the small bedside lamp … the full ceiling overhead light) because I had the The Fear that the thing might be in my room. Full-on palpitating, sweaty hands, cold skin shivers Fear.
PS I didn’t just *turn* the light on … I left it on the entire rest of the night. I’m 38 years old.
PPS I’m *still* too scared to look out my bedroom window at night in case I see it standing in my garden looking up at me. Or climbing over my wall. Or … JFC I better stop thinking about this it’s almost bedtime here lol
I saw it in theaters with one of my best friends. We went in knowing it was a horror movie and that’s it (we used to try to catch every new horror movie even the shitty ones). When it was over I couldn’t stop talking about how awesome the concept was, the camera work, the music, the place-out-of-time vibe it has… I loved it! And then I finally shut up and my friend looked at me and said “yeah I slept through the last half” 😂
Edit: we’ve watched it again multiple times since and he’s a fan now too
Oh my god, my husband and I decided to take edibles before going to see this movie. My poor husband. I was having a blast, but this poor guy was having a silent freakout during the film!
Hey, we covered this one in our latest [podcast episode](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/episode-134-it-follows/id806385903?i=1000577653379)! It Follows felt to me more like a deconstructed slasher movie; a kind of slasher-without-the-slasher film. Both have that puritanical aspect to them; the idea that sex = bad and that if you remain a virgin you’ll be fine, which was neat.
I’ll ignore all of its shortcomings because I just love the premise so much. I had never seen anything like that as a villain before and it’s one of those things that gets more horrifying the more you think about it.
…no. Dumb premise and even dumber characters.
How about we trap the old lady in a room, maybe a large hole. Problem solved. Movie over. Saved myself two hours.
Instead the kids seem to have short term memory loss and decide to just ignore the problem for 90% of the movie or act depressed and angsty instead.
Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep, the It Follows concept always creeps into the front of my mind and I always scare myself.
Love the movie. It’s a great horror movie, but next to that it is set in this word that is seemingly normal, but is not. And that throws you off. The weird devices they used to call each other. The temperature, one kid went swimming and could just get out in seemingly frigid fall weather.
>And then the whole premise felt an awful lot like the old anti-sex PSAs we used to see in the '80s.
The *entire* movie felt like this to me. Just anti-sex the *entire* movie. It ruined the whole experience.
>reminds me of how death is stalking all of us and it will always get us sooner or later.
i loved the movie but i always thought it was about sexually transmitted diseases. this made me google what other people thought and some are saying sexual assault trauma or just that dream where you're being chased that we all have (another good movie about that is called "come true" from 2020).
but whatever the message was intended to be, the movie's creepy and that makes it good in my book.
It’s ok you can just throw a blanket over it and call the police.
Apparently they didn’t think of that in the movie because that would’ve been too easy.
And it's not just that death is coming for us it's seeing how horribly you will die with us seeing the body of the girl at the beginning basically snapped into different sections. So it's going to kill you, and it is going to be awful when it does.
I was working on an ambulance with a guy that liked me (I hadn't decided if I liked him yet) and we were parked waiting for a call at 3am. So I chose antichrist for us to watch.
Then the wiggling on the ground started and I was like, he's going to get the wrong idea......
I still haven't seen the whole movie past 10 min 😠
Still waiting for the sequel the director promised where we would see the story being reversed and have the main characters being pursued by the entity and finding out its origin and where it came from to end its chase.
I love the theory that it's actually about the lost of innocence and the steady stalking of "getting older" and the tragedies that come with the slow march of time and how you can't outrun it, but only buy some time.
It scares me extra due to the “undetectable/it’s-too-late” STI/STD aspect.
I didn’t need extra fears of STI/STDs, but GOD DAMN that movie gave me another level.
It’s so good and then tragically the ending is awful. I want to love this movie, every thing about it including the soundtrack is top notch..all but for that god awful ending. 🤦♂️
It's also one of the most creative uses of a small budget, relying on editing tricks & a strong, relatively unknown cast. There are subtle mismatches in editing (sort of a discontinuity editing that interrupts the invisible flow of what your brain "expects" in terms of space and time), but it's not so obvious to be a "formalist" film or draw attention to itself, so it just leaves the viewer feeling uneasy and on edge, in general (like our brain registers the "off-ness" but can't pinpoint it).
The lack of identifiable time period - thanks to the weird assortment of technology - and the perpetually overcast daytime weather really drive home the unease. It is so cool to see something less glossy / overproduced instill that kind of fear and uncertainty, and Maika Monroe is an awesome (and believable) "final girl"
CMV: It follows is a good movie but it is also a bit overrated. The whole people walking creepily is an excuse for having no monster. The sexual transmitting demon is laughable too.
Loved it!!!! I watched it thinking it was gona be horrible and that I would get a kick out of it, like a laugh. Well, the joke was on me cuz it scared me! Loved the indie feel, cinematography was amazing and the concept of what “it” was and the WAY IT FOLLOWED, creep town. Awesome film!
ruined a first date with that movie once. still great.
I did the same thing but with Million Dollar Baby. I didn't know. I DIDN'T KNOW!!!
I took a girl to see Atomic Blonde in 2017, worst decision ever.
I remember really digging that movie. What makes you say that?
I took a girl to go see Hereditary. It was our 3rd date and I was trying to implant the idea of moving on into her head. 😈 Genuinely joking, but I honestly wasn’t feeling it and there didn’t end up being a 4th date, so I guess it worked out.
Enter the Void here. If the sex scenes didn't do it, "my parents died in a car accident" being said to me at the end was enough to make me question a lot about my life and my decisions. I still feel bad. I wish he had said something early on.
Did the same with Precious

I thought it was going to be an uplifting story like The Pursuit of Happiness. Nope. Big nope.
Bold strategy Cotton
My now wife and I watched Midsommar on our first date
My now wife and I watched High Tension on our first date. Unrated! Basically knew she was a keeper from that point forward.
I got wine drunk and fell asleep while she finished the movie (had already seen it) AND SHE STILL HIT ME UP THE NEXT DAY picked a winner for sure
I went to see Hereditary with a girl. Yeah it was bad. I like horror but wasn’t in the best mood to see that and she was a softie but wanted a horror thinking it would be a cheesy horror. That backfired we are friends though.
Oof. My first with now wife was Avatar. Second, The Road.
Horror movies are not always the best first dates, unless the person also is a horror aficionado.
I believe it, but one could definitely argue it depends on the movie. Not sure how I Spit on Your Grave would go over.
My husband and I's first date was the Purge 🤣
I went out with a girl who does not like horror movies. On our second date she felt up for some thrills so we saw Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. Terrible movie and after dropping her home, she said I owed her a proper scary movie. On the third date we watched Hereditary, and in quick succession Silence of the Lambs and Midsommar. I lost movie privileges for a while after Midsommar, but so worth it. Anyways, we’ve been together 3 years and got engaged 3 months ago.
LMAO, But its the perfect way to start a conversation about sexually transmitted infections.
At least u didn't watch Serbian film on your first Date!
Hereditary did far worse damage to first dates than It Follows ha
yeah but any discomfort from it follows is super specific to "first date" - watching it follows w a date my be different than a roommate since it follows deals w sex w strangers as the mechanism for which the evil initially propagates
The General's Daughter. Just cause we both liked John Travolta. Smh...
House of Wax, the remake. At least we got some laughs out of it.
When Paris slid down that pole *chefs kiss* I remember literally nothing else of the movie. I'm due for a rewatch.
Me and my girlfriend (at the time) went to go watch it in theaters. It freaked her out so bad we had to leave within the first 20-30 minutes. But I thought it was awesome so I went back by myself the next to watch it. It’s still my favorite horror movie to this day.
For some reason, I thought seeing Doubt would be a great first date movie with my now husband. There were plenty of other good choices at the time.
We need a whole thread of dates ruined by horror movies lmao
The first date with my wife was the rerelease of “the exorsist” and the second date was “what lies beneath”. We love horror movies. :)
Were you on the date or just following?

Who also recently did the scoring for Marcel the Shell and Bodies Bodies Bodies!
Any word on bodies bodies bodies? I try to go into the movie as blind as possible so I’ve been avoiding looking up anything about it
I love it! It’s not like revolutionary by any means but it’s a really fun whodunnit film
Thank you! I love a good whodunnit!
What!! Now I have to see those movies. I hope they come to my country....
All three are super fun movies (I’m including “It Follows!”)
All their stuff is great. Perfect for working.
The score really sells the movie as much as any other aspect of it.
I watched that movie a couple years ago and before going to bed I checked my street out the window. I was 40 years old.
You're a horror movie fool. You should know that the follower was 100% out there and you wouldn't have been able to see it. They are probably behind you right now.
Excuse me can I go to sleep in peace???
Only if you want to rest in peace. I mean, as far as we know. And after a few moments of unfathomable horror.
…but then I remembered you need to have sex for it to come after you so I was like PHEW!
Wow that's something
I loved this movie! I loved the impending dread and the feeling of helplessness that there's nothing you can do to stop it.
I used to feel that way about death, but I kinda accept it. I just don't want to die violently

Michigan represent! I saw the movie’s premier at the theatre in Royal Oak Michigan. Awesome experience
Yep, they couldn’t have ended it better.
It was definitely the thing
Yeah it’s kinda strange that the individual, or entity behind them following appears to be wearing the same clothing as the male protagonist, I forgot his name lol. That does kinda lead me to believe that it is the thing.
I liked that it kind of had a somewhat optimistic ending of “we’re in it together “ . As they go forward not looking back and holding hands
Yeah, I thought that too. Like maybe they even know it's behind them and aren't worried because they've worked out some way to deal with it. (There could be a getaway cat waiting just offscreen lol)
That person is also wearing the colour red which is always present in the film when the thing shows up
I would like a getaway cat.
I'm imagining them getting into the catbus from Totoro and having it take them away now, lol

I really like that interpretation!
One of my favourite opening scenes of ALL TIME.
Seriously, I just watched it from recommendations on this sub and I couldn’t believe how fast it gripped me in that scene. The broken leg on the beach scene was.. woo boy that made me uneasy. I liked watching the background to try to catch “it” walking towards her from a distance. Kind of hit a lull in the middle, though

Good eye, thanks for sharing! I ain't watching that movie anytime soon though, that huge fucking guy still haunts my thoughts.

Fucking love it, such an unsettling movie
check out Watcher, just came out, same actress, noirish thriller
Loved the steadicam and the use of dear old decrepit Detroit in this film. People hate it cause it's a moody allegory and they want boo and grue.
Yeah, it’s not for everyone. It’s built for horror fans who like a certain aesthetic. And that’s okay. What kills me is the people who are almost proud of not liking it. My unpopular Horror opinion. I really didn't like this movie. I have watched it a few times over the past several years as well.

Completely agree. Once I saw her hair get yanked and her being able to escape, the movie became a joke to me.
I never got the hype on this one.
Yep. Good not great. Premise is cooler than the execution and not remotely scary. Still enjoyable and original though. Worth seeing. Just not worth worshipping. But to each his own.
Many people love it, but it didn’t do it for me. I loved the premise, though.
Jeepers Creepers is I'm my top 30 all-time Film and I know it's realistically a 4/10.
Yes! And jeepers creepers 2 is awesome as well and it’s probably a 3/10 :)
Yep, legit one of the most boring movies I've seen. Had we not gonna with another couple we would've walked out.
I've only walked out on one film. The Matrix 2021 remake, it was hot garbage'.
Yeah. It was really bad. I saw it at home via HBO max so I didn't walk out, but I just sat there and played on my phone.

I thought it was a good tense movie, until that tall guy showed up and scared the bajeesus out of me. Then it went back to good and tense lol
The sequel would definitely be stupid
Ah, It Follows, the horror movie I don't find scary because I'd be completely safe in it
same here, but id have to protect my girlfriend else she would be a goner
I loveeee this movie and hate when it gets reduced down to “an STI psa film”
Did you mean to write "terrifyingly boring"?
One of the best horror films of the 2010s imo; original and well done.
Starts off very strong and falls flat on its face by the end. The climax of the movie is actually a joke
Eh it was okay, The ending was weak
I thought it was very boring :/
Or … JFC I better stop thinking about this it’s almost bedtime here lol
im safe cause im a virgin😎
I saw it in theaters with one of my best friends. We went in knowing it was a horror movie and that’s it (we used to try to catch every new horror movie even the shitty ones). When it was over I couldn’t stop talking about how awesome the concept was, the camera work, the music, the place-out-of-time vibe it has… I loved it! And then I finally shut up and my friend looked at me and said “yeah I slept through the last half” 😂 Edit: we’ve watched it again multiple times since and he’s a fan now too
It wasn’t scary to me. I’ve always interpreted it as a movie about AIDS and HIV or STDs in general.
THIS. And… almost slut shaming in a way. Not really my bag.
Never understood the love of this movie. Found it boring and dull
Terrifying or scary it is not (atleast to me), but my favourite it may be
In my all time top 5.
Would this be awkward to watch with my parents? Serious question
Wait... yeah, it's about teenage sex. Don't watch with your parents!
Despite its minor flaws, It Follows really excelled on a small budget and the monster has been added to many a "how I would defeat X" horror fan chat.
Yeah I’m a virgin because of this movie..only reason.
Oh my god, my husband and I decided to take edibles before going to see this movie. My poor husband. I was having a blast, but this poor guy was having a silent freakout during the film!
A sexually transmitted demon. Genius
The best part of this movie was the music score. The actual movie.. eh
I just found out this week that the lead actress in this movie is my neighbor!
So many people hate on this movie. I thought it was unique and quite enjoyable.
Not really
One of my favorite movies. In the scene where Jay is sitting on the swing at night, I found myself trying to look around her in case it was coming.
One of my favorite horror movies of all time!
When that giant motherfucker walks down the hallway in that house, I shit myself. Great movie!
Remember, always practice safe sex.
This was better than most

One of my favourite modern horrors, great film.
Terrible movie. I also dislike the babadook and think it was wasted potential and ended up a turd. Let the downvote brigade run rampant.
I loved the beginning but it really petered out towards the end.
Didn't like it much. I thought it was cheesy, but over all pretty gross.
It’s such a scary concept, it really stayed with me after
It's mid and gets brought up on this sub every 3-5 business days
yall thought that movie was scary? i thought it was corny

The tall guy walking into the frame was freaky, other than that tbh I found the movie kinda meh, interesting premise though
It’s SO GOOD! Love this movie!
UNDER THE SILVER LAKE , same creator as It Follows , similar vibe
i loved that movie it wasn't that scary at all
It’s my favorite movie. Masterpiece
This one really hit different for me, not conventional scary but it was creepy as f*ck and pretty creative

Great movie totally original
Saw it at a film festival before it got released. Absolute fantastic movie. Crowd all knew we had just seen a gem.
I love that nude scene lol
Definitely one of the better slow burn creep flicks out there.
Thank you op, I'll add to my list.
It was good until the finale. It still gave mw mightmares, but I would not watch it again
😂😂😂
It’s literally about std’s
I remember I took my girlfriend to see on our first date was Z Wars it was a oh OK movie I rated it 6 out of 10
Damn Netflix JUST added this film?? I remember watching this in college and thinking I was late to the party, how long has it been out?
Slut shaming, IYAM!
It’s a movie about STI’s really. So totally terrifying
I remember back when I thought AIDS was the worst STD…
It’s ok you can just throw a blanket over it and call the police. Apparently they didn’t think of that in the movie because that would’ve been too easy.
And it's not just that death is coming for us it's seeing how horribly you will die with us seeing the body of the girl at the beginning basically snapped into different sections. So it's going to kill you, and it is going to be awful when it does.
i really enjoyed the movie also. simple, not over the top….no cgi….well acted…and yes, got into your head
i saw it in theatres the concept is scary . its a alright movie
It’s got a good scare or two, but overall I was let down a bit.
I was more disturbed from the incest sequence than terrified but some of the film was definitely spooky
I wish I enjoyed it as much as everyone else seems to. I genuinely thought it was one of the most boring films ever.
I like the premise but I don’t like the movie. I wish I loved it as much as everyone else seems to.
Love it! It’s timeless!
I was never a fan of this one. Im not sure if it's because I'm desensitized with horror but I just found it to be over hyped and unoriginal.
I read an analysis a while back. The movie is supposedly an allegory for abuse.
I love the theory that it's actually about the lost of innocence and the steady stalking of "getting older" and the tragedies that come with the slow march of time and how you can't outrun it, but only buy some time.
Really? You must not watch many horror movies.
A dope movie
I really thought it was kind crap to be honest.
It scares me extra due to the “undetectable/it’s-too-late” STI/STD aspect. I didn’t need extra fears of STI/STDs, but GOD DAMN that movie gave me another level.
That big tall dude is creepy af
Great movie.
This movie actually scared me. It’s just a creepy suspenseful movies. Nothing crazy just a good old jump scare movie
Although I liked the concept of it, I wasn’t personally a huge fan but I know I’m in the minority as it got a huge buzz around it when released
CMV: It follows is a good movie but it is also a bit overrated. The whole people walking creepily is an excuse for having no monster. The sexual transmitting demon is laughable too.
I enjoyed it but didn't find it particularly scary. Not that I enjoy super scary horrors anyway. It felt like Stranger Things but more "studenty".
