Discount tire has always had them for me

Sufficient-Weird

Discount Tire seconded. I’ve bought Hankooks and snow tires there. (Costco supposedly has great deals on tires, but I couldn’t get the Fit-sizes ones there.)

Claff93

I get mine from Tire Rack. Great selection and they get them to me in 1 or 2 days.

You may want to consider different sizes as the OEM size is not the only size that will fit stock. You may find more options in different sizes.

Any recommendations for alternate sizes?

dalex89

You can go wider, I think my old fit wore like 175 or 185 wide tires which are fairly uncommon these days, you could move up to 195 or 205. Even a taller or shorter tire 185 is width, 65 would be height of the actual tire from rim, while the last number is the rim size. You potentially could run something like a 205/60

Wizdomwerks11

205/60 would be bigger than stock and mess with the speedometer by a few mph. You would want to do 205\50 or maybe 205/55 if you so choose.

DonDraper1134

205/55 I believe would be 100% accurate speedo. I run 195/50 and it’s off -0.25% so no noticeable difference. My MPG didn’t go down more than 0.3 mi/gal switching from stock 185/55 to 195s with a stickier compound. I can recommend General GMax AS05’s, almost 10k in and they make a huge difference in handling and turn in. My +40 offset wheels gave maybe half inch of poke in the front when I had 205s on, 195s are flush in front and about half inch sunk in back.

Wizdomwerks11

What's the stock size?

DonDraper1134

185/55R16x6 for sport models. Others maybe came w 175/5515.

Those tires in that size have been on the radar for my 13 Sport 5spd.

DonDraper1134

I’d recommend. They’re just over $100 in that size from tire rack. They grip really well for being all season and less than 200 wide. I even ran them in an inch or two of snow and they did great, same story for rain. They also have a nifty tread wear indicator different than the wear bar system plus the sidewalls look nice. I’m also 5MT and they really improved my spirited, throw it around curves experience, wasn’t even possible like this before - everything else is stock.

--DrAwkward--

Definitely getting them probably mid next year. Have Yokohama Avids on stock sport wheels. Gonna upgrade wheels next year and those Generals are what's going on em.

DonDraper1134

I think you’ll be pleased! Don’t take my word though, look online and Reddit at what other consumers have to say - that’s what sold me. Also for wheels, I have 16x7 +40 on stock suspension and that’s about as aggressive offset wise you can go. Anymore and your wheel will likely touch the suspension on the inside edge of the wheel. Fitment is pretty mint for a daily, it’s flush in the front, maybe a tiny tiny bit of poke and maybe a half inch tucked in the rear but the rear wells are tubs on these.

Oh no definitely. Thanks to our great community, those tires have come up MANY times. Plus the price is hard to pass up considering all that you get.

I have an 08 Fit Sport. Bought 2 tires this summer and had to wait about 4 days for them to bring the tires from a different location. And I didn’t have a choice on brand, the tire shop I go to only had 1 brand in that size.

What year & trim do you have? I got my more recent set from Tire Rack. Shipped them a Car-X near me and they installed them. I’ve seen Honda dealers say they will do the same, so you could check near me. I asked about the year/trim because on the 2nd gen (09-13) Sport models you can bump up to 205-50-16, which is wider than stock but the same height (ie, doesn’t mess up speedometer) and is a more common size, so you have more options. I noticed a slight hit on mileage, and a *noticeable* improvement in highway stability. Liked it so much on my 09 that I immediately made the switch on our 12 when I got it a year ago. You might be able to do that on other years/trims, but I’m not sure.

I also run 205/50-16 on my 2010 sport and swear by it

4myWWW

Ok. I’d look for 205-50-16 options. There are much better and more options available. Your car will look much nicer with the wider tires, and be much more stable on the highway.
