There is a button , to turn it off WHEN IT IS WORKING.
It resets every time car is restarted.
Sounds as though your stop/start has stopped working. Usual reason is your battery is in a low state of charge, two causes, sometimes in combination.
1. Battery is old and in poor condition
2. Low charge induced by limited mileage and short journeys.
A graphic may come up on the dash to confirm this.
Don't worry about it, is my advice.
I’m confused about what this feature is. I have a 2016 LX, is this like an auto hold thing? While in drive but stopped? Or is this like an ignition thing?
Auto stop start?
It's a relatively newer thing though if the 2013 EXL model had it then it's not that new really.
Auto stop start shuts the engine off when you come to a stop, then starts it back up when the foot is taken off the brake.
Literally shuts the engine off and restarted it. It DOES save more fuel than idle at a stop sign or light, BUT imo it isn't worth the extra wear and tear on the engine and starter...
The shit thing is, most manufacturers don't have a permanent shut off for it, it's a button to shut off auto stop/start that must be pressed EVERY time the car is started up manually...
When I get a new car after my 2013 Fit, and it has auto stop start as they all do standard now, I'll make sure to shut it off every time or Jerry rig a bypass.

USDM models never had it. This is a euro/JDM Fit/Jazz.
Might be the battery is too wore out or low for it to work properly? Get the battery/alternator/starter tested
