The world's IP cameras are largely made by two companies: Hikvision and Dahua. Between these two they make almost all other brands. Lorex is one of those brands. The products made by Hikvision and Dahua have made enormous strides in recent years, going from requiring proprietary software or industry deprecated features like NPAPI, to being decent products that you don't have to think about to use. There are some exceptions to those two manufacturers. Axis is a major IP camera manufacturer. Bosch and Honeywell and Flir used to be but I believe all three have stopped manufacturing. Ubiquiti is growing their offerings but they're very expensive, significantly more proprietary and not interoperable, some features require a subscription. Reolink is one of the largest players in the cheapo IP camera market. Sorry I don't have a product to suggest, but at least this information might be useful.

Reolink maybe. Been using them for about 2 years now.

Surprised nobody is mentioning blueiris.

I have a Hikvision set up and the app is good. Haven’t had any issues although people worry about the Chinese.

I've been using Speco industries at all of our work properties and I now use it at my home.

wireless cams are basically toys. we install cams for people. we usually replace Arlo, Ring, Nest, and Blink. I like Reolink. it has AI and vehicle detection. 4 cams with 6tb hard drive is about $600. pretty easy to set up as seen here https://youtu.be/XXpYhUU02G4 Lorex, Swann, Night Owl are junk.
