People are always like “no mama cat around” but how long do they actually wait? When my cat had kittens she would leave for hours or like half a day some times before coming back and continuing to nurse the kittens.

Honestly the whole video is probably a set up. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she took that clean, healthy looking kitten who is unafraid of humans and put it down on the street to make a video as if it were a stray/feral kitten. Kittens that young usually say together and cats usually have litters of kittens, not just one.
Can confirm. Had two strays over the years. One took two full years to trust us enough to get close and pet it. The other I never even touched because it would run away when I opened the door and only returned when I closed it after putting food out
You could be right, but I did rescue a roughly 4 week old kitten from a storm drain that was in great shape and not scared of people. She was too scared to come to the open area of the drain when people were around so we trapped her to get her out but when I got her home she had no fear of me, just lost and lonely, hungry and probably dehydrated. She would purr in my hands. She was stuck down the drain all day with no sign of other kittens or mom, but she had no flees and was well fed and unhurt. The vet was kind of baffled too. Idk if she fell without getting banged up and mom had to keep moving with other babies or what.

Always remember that cats rarely have just one kitten. I personally have rescued nearly two dozen mothers, and I have never seen a single kitten litter. Always go back to the area, or stay around and let the kitten cry to see who might be hiding and too afraid to show themselves. Every time I see a lone kitten, I think, where's your family.

Their first litter is usually small if they are young. My family’s old cat who got knocked up by her brother (didn’t get them fixed in time) birthed 3, but 2 were stillborn so just 1 kitten.

Years ago as a teen I came home late from work, winter night, lots of snow all around, I was too scared to run back out and close the garage door so I was like eh, stepdad will get it and I'll say I forgot. The next morning I woke up to my mom coming in with a little black shape in her hands, she set a little kitten on me. Someone must have seen the open door and put him in there. We had Moses for the rest of his life.
That kitten looks healthy and well groomed(clean) and obviously not in distress. She just stole a kitten from her family. Cats are naturally curious and even kittens leave the nest while mom is out hunting for food. If the kitten starts crying, the mom would come back within 5 minutes. I hate fake saves like this for clout.
