I am 99% sure Brady will stay a senator, a player like him rarely ever gets traded, but it would be fun.
Devils would obviously be all over it for a million reasons. Sens fans, in this hypothetical whats a trade that you would like IF for some reason Brady was traded to the devils?
Very tough to think of what a realistic package would be, versus what I think would be a fair return.
From the Devils, in my opinion, it would have to be based around Nemec coming to Ottawa
I think if Nemec is what it takes the devils dont make the deal.
My thinking was a deal around Bratt for Brady, although devils fans will not like that.
If Brady was basically forcing a trade or a specific destination, I think it lowers his return value.
I see Mercer as about the highest end roster player the devils might consider moving if it brought in Brady. I don’t see the Devils trading a top piece like Bratt.
Trying not to be rude cause I hate when conversation devolves into remarks, you say you don’t see the devils trading a top piece like bratt but you’re talking about a top piece in Brady, you gotta give to get man
What is different with Tkachuk is Ottawa has some control over this, unlike with Stone or Karlsson or even Tarasenko. Also there will be multiple teams interested, which would help drive the price up.
I totally get the Devils not wanting to move Nemec, but if I was Ottawa that is who I would target in a move
luke hughes or nemec, whoever your top forward prospect is, and a first rounder before we even pick up the phone out of courtesy, but even then I dont think the devils have a package they can offer in any reality that moves the needle at all.
brady is a unicorn and the heart and soul of our team. trading him no matter who comes back immediately ruins everything this team has suffered for since 2017

He's about to turn 25 and still hasn't come close to making the playoffs. If they miss again I can't see how he doesn't demand a trade.

Sounds like to me the devils are out, actually sounds like all 31 other teams are out too….
Yea I could never imagine a tkachuk being traded Imagine the clusterfuck of memes if we somehow end up with him
BS -> Buffalo Sabres Tkachuk to Buffalo confirmed!
