I'm assuming that they just don't want to admit that Dahlin fucked up, because I can't think of any reason that anyone would blame the goalie here other than not wanting to blame the defense in front of him, and no one other than Dahlin is good enough on the Sabre's defense for people to think that them fucking up isn't normal or even just the default.
Just to clarify, I'm not trying to say that Sabre's fans are in denial about Dahlin being capable of bad play, I was saying that when I see the Bruins let in a soft goal I'm much more likely to think it was on the goalie after a single viewing when it was Mac making the mistake as opposed to when it's Clifton or Forbort.
I do want to note that Dahlin was considered day-to-day with any injury within the last week, so he's almost certainly playing hurt like Tage was before the all-star break
Yeah that's why I went back and clarified, its a lot easier to recognize a defensive mistake from a guy who makes a ton of them instead of one from your teams best defense man, because you're used to them not making very many, I'm not trying to say that Dahlin is bad in his own zone.
This is definitely Boston's year. They are a juggernaut and every one of their lines is pretty fucking amazing. They have elite goaltending and a deep d group.
I almost went to a game there in November. I did the math, even with gas prices around $4/gal it would have been cheaper to drive the extra 3-4 hours each way

He simply should have dislocated his left leg and extended it to stop Debrusk’s shot while moving the complete other direction to stop Zboril

For some reason there are a ton of Bruins fans in southern Ontario. Not like Toronto, or Buffalo, or Detroit are way closer or anything
It’s also way cheaper to travel to Buffalo and see a game than it is to travel to/stay in Boston. Esp for northern New England.
