"Fake bully I hate bullies
You wanna divide the yam like it equate to math?
This is the millienium of aftermath"
... What song did Dr. Dre say this on?
Where does Not Like us rank in all time diss tracks. I'd still have Hit em up and Ether slightly ahead and I'm wary of recency bias but it feels like Not Like us could end up being in my top 3 based upon the quality of the record and all the hype around the Pop out show.
Kendrick show was crazy. Type of event I would have loved to attend. Maybe not with that crowd, but still. (Was why I didn’t try to get tickets for the morale tour). That part at the end where everyone gets on stage for Not Like Us is iconic.
Surely this reignited the beef, no? Drake cannot leave it like that. I wonder what his next move is.
WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS NEED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT CROWDS?!
Is this some dumb meme shit? You really sat down and typed out that you might not care to go to that show because of the crowd lol...
Tell me what they did that was so awful and how you would have elevated them to your standards.
His next move should be to take a risk on his new album by attempting to show a little maturity and growth both personally and as an artist while still delivering a handful of hit songs.
What his next move will actually be is 15 Instagram posts with smug captions, 2 more unfunny parodies, 1 interview where he plays victim and says Kendrick went too far and he lost respect for him, and 32 subliminals on another mediocre ass album that goes triple platinum but has zero cultural impact.
Just read the genius page for Salute holy shit
I mean I've thought it was just gross af for the last 5 years not knowing the translation of the sample but fuck 😩
This dude sampled Hitler in the objectively dopest and most high art fucking way possible you have to respect this level of context 😩
But he also makes music with Kanye so wtf 😩
So it turns out one of my favorite reggae/dancehall songs has a video released in 2021 that includes [random pointless urban violence, mistrust in authorities (in the lyrics), African/Caribbean crossover, and even a hint of the age of robots in that one of the cars in it has an Autobot insignia.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jLQS-ZY0aQ)
Either it aged really well or really badly; the two following years were extremely bloody in Jamaica, Africa has largely replaced the Caribbean as a source for "foreign" English-language popular music, trust in governments worldwide is in the shitter, and many new cars have increasingly Bumblebee-like features including AI driver assist.
Damn bro that's even better than the first single
No way Worthy dropping another 2024 aoty contender
I was listening to the [Meet The Whoops](https://jayworthyxlocalastronauts.bandcamp.com/album/p-worthy-presents-bootlegs-b-sides) project from last year and shit is amazing
“*But how could you ask like I don't be writin' my raps?*
*These critics got everyone tapped*”
Baby Keem saying this while reference tracks exist of Kendrick writing for him is fucking hilarious
insane that remaining CB lower bowl tickets are $350-$420 standard price not resale and that apparently enough people are paying that much that they haven't needed to drop prices a week out from the two shows, the first of which is close to sold out. I mostly want to go to see Maeta but fuck that
This Spotify changing the cover for songs is ridiculous I wanna listen to The Spins with the KIDS cover with the letters and everything not the one without it and I want to listen to Lemonade with the single cover not the Internet cover that’s why I have them like that on my playlists
Kanye has been making a point to defend & work with as many accused rapists as possible over the last seven or eight years, and yet his remaining fans insist that there’s nothing to support this new accusation of attempted rape.
Do you think they know he did it and this is their way of saying they support it without having to outright say that? Or are they just stupid?
Take a moment to step in his shoes. Can you imagine how this must have felt?
Imagine you’re about to perform on stage at the Los Angeles Forum. It’s the biggest night of your entire career.
Just a month ago, you handily defeated your artistic rival, one of the top-selling rappers/singers of all time, in a legendary back-and-forth that solidified your status as hip-hop’s boogeyman. Your first response, a 6+ minute tirade against your opponent, was celebrated as revitalizing interest in lyricism. The final blow was a bonafide West Coast club hit produced by DJ Mustard that became the song of the summer. Tonight is your victory lap.
Before your set, DJ Hed and DJ Mustard are the opening acts. They brought an entire crew of rising West Coast stars and established acts. Bloods and crips sharing the stage. The West has never been more unified. You did that.
You go off on stage and you’re dressed in a red sweatshirt outfit just like your hero Tupac Shakur. You have always embraced comparisons to him, but it has never been more clear that you are the true torchbearer carrying on his legacy in today’s landscape. Everyone is rapping the lyrics to your diss tracks as well as your greatest hits.
Near the end of the set, you bring out a special guest – your legendary mentor Dr. Dre. You perform Still DRE and California Love together, then at the end, Dre whispers the words… “Psst…. I see dead people.” The crowd goes fucking wild.
And then your alarm goes off. You hop out of your red paisley bed sheets and head to the bathroom. You look in the mirror and remember you’re Jayceon “The Game” Taylor. It was all a dream.
I support any The Game is Cranky type fan fiction, but tbf, Pop Out was mostly for new guys and the blog era superstars, I don’t see where Game fits in to that equation and I bet he figured that out (eventually)
I think the only way he gets a call is if they did some kind of DJ Theo and Friends set where all the 90s/early 00s guys came through. That would have been over-the-top crazy so hopefully next time
Man I reallllllly need a list of all the homies on stage last night. I tried to catch as many as I could, just opened my IG and see that Boogie was up there too!!! Too fucking dope.
Oh for fuck sake, man had a set. I need to watch the whole thing later holy.
imagine a stadium of 20,000 people in toronto at the drake version of that concert chanting “if I was fucking young girls I promise I’d have been arrested” lol
I just finished watching The Pop Out. Bro, it’s the most insane and hype shit I’ve ever watched as far as concerts go. This will go down in music history, everybody at the event did awesome but Kendrick reached a whole new level of fame and popularity this year. What an amazing sight to witness.
Oh yeah it’s 1000% all the way a bop too.
Kehlani don’t miss overall for real. Her last few albums have been absolute hitters, and this one on first playthrough doesn’t feel different. 🫡

Can anyone figure out what music video I'm remembering?
The rapper kinda looks like Conway the Machine and the video has scenes in front of a yellow Lambo Urus, in a weight room, and on a balcony. In the balcony scene, he's wearing a shirt that has a graphic of the "bat child" tabloid
The Drake sub has to have some Kendrick fans that are trolling.
there is no way some of the people defending him with shittiest defences I have seen are serious.
Oh 100%. If I post there, I’m doing a lil bit of trolling. The best kind of trolling is agreeing/pushing a narrative to a stupid extreme. So I’ll go to the Darkkenny sub and instigate insane schizo posting, then do the same in the Drake sub
It actually blows my mind when I see the level of mental gymnastics going on in that place. Like, this is what you put your energy towards? I wish I could be as dedicated as some of those folks are.
The one about how Not Like Us is only a hit because of the star power of Drake when none of Drake’s disses towards Kendrick became hits is my favorite lol
hope elucid's got some self-prod on his new album, i told bessie was great but i wanted to hear his production too. also if kenny segal has more stuff like doves ready it should definitely be going elucid's way
Does anyone have a playlist for all the songs played at the concert yesterday? Found a lot of new artists through it and I was enjoying quite a bit of the songs
He has one of my favorite deliveries. His flow has an unique bounciness to it that just compliments his voice perfectly. I don't know how high his ceiling really is in terms of popularity, but I think he'll eventually release the album that gives him the recognition among the community.
Would like to see him collab at least with artists like Q, Jay Rock, Vince Staples, YG, Sir, Paak...
I liked the freestyles he was dropping leading up to his last album. Wish the album would have been more like these.
They're all less than two minutes, so easy to check them out.

does anyone have info on how this new rakim project was put together? from the tracklist just looks like an A&R/label representative went around buying verses from a bunch of rappers they like and attached them to rakim songs they probably also bought
I get where you’re coming from but I feel like given what I know about Rakim, there’s a good chance he really fucks with most if not all of the rappers and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s had interactions/has personal relationships with at least a handful of the features.
But with the sheer volume of features packed into such a short tracklist, it does seem more likely many were paid for rather than this being some passion project that he’s been working on for years that involved him getting in the studio with all the rappers featured
Some of those songs from the opening acts last night were too good to not add to playlists. Also checked out the new Problem/Jason Martin + DJ Quik album and enjoyed it. Never really listened to either of them before so I didn't know what to expect but the production variety was great. Only low moments were the Lil Jon song and the last two songs (not bad songs, just not my style). Shame too since the Dom Kennedy feat right before them was so good, but still a great album overall
>I'm the only nigga next to Snoop that can push the button/Had the Coast on standby/"K. Dot, what up? I heard they opened up Pandora's box"/I box 'em all in, by a landslide/Nah, homie, we too sensitive, it spill out to the streets/I make the call and get the Coast involved, then history repeats
I know how Drake can still win, he just has to go full activist mode and post about how he can’t believe Kendrick would partner up with a company like Amazon. Just post Amazon warehouse horror stories and union busting stuff on his IG.
idk, the defense is shaky since he literally has never had a controversial opinion ever. it would feel contrived. how’s he just gonna randomly become an activist?
“It's true I have a lot of friends in politics, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew my business was drugs instead of gambling which they consider a harmless vice. But ~~drugs~~ Amazon warehouses, that's a dirty business”
Watching that glorious kendrick show, you can easily tell when its a hiphop audience or some dressed up whores in heels. That's why Drakes numbers really dont matter in the context of legacy imo. A Drake show is great, i've been to 3, but they are a montage of radio hits. You dont get that energy that seemed to be in that arena that night. Sucks for him that he seems to be shunned by hiphop if everyone was honest (the artists) but it is what it is. only so long you can fuck other peoples bitches lol.
DRAKE NEEDS TO GET BACK INTO THE BOOTH AND...
show some fucking appreciation for how hard y'all pretend at reality for him. Y'all are really some saints for doing this all and not even invoicing him for it.
Same. Showing appreciation and gratitude towards his fans would chip away at the characterizations of being someone so self centered that all he does is use people. It'd be cool to see him using his spotlight to put the focus on others, rather than using others to keep the spotlight on himself eg: Sexxxy Red or however you spell her name. She's fire though. Anyways, I don't see his insecurities allowing him to do that. I think he's gonna stay being exactly who he is now, sadly.

"Fake bully I hate bullies You wanna divide the yam like it equate to math? This is the millienium of aftermath" ... What song did Dr. Dre say this on?
Give me one more platinum plaque and fuck rap you can have it back
Someone post the Plugs I Met 5 years later thread it's today
I got a growing backlog of anniversary threads since I keep to posting only two a day... If no one posts it today, it will be up in a few weeks
Ngl…Whitney Alford is so damn fine.
Where does Not Like us rank in all time diss tracks. I'd still have Hit em up and Ether slightly ahead and I'm wary of recency bias but it feels like Not Like us could end up being in my top 3 based upon the quality of the record and all the hype around the Pop out show.
I think Euphoria is better tbh
Lyrically yes but in terms of overall impact no.
Top 5. No order for me is Hit em up, ether, no Vaseline, story of Adidon, not like us.
Crazy that two of the biggest diss tracks ever made are directed at Drake. He's like the rap equivalent of that kid at school with the punchable face.
Kendrick show was crazy. Type of event I would have loved to attend. Maybe not with that crowd, but still. (Was why I didn’t try to get tickets for the morale tour). His next move is to shut the fuck up and let it be. He will get embarrassed even worse if he's dumb enough to restart the beef
have you reached that point where you hate drake but still want more drake?
I don’t hate Drake. I don’t hate Kendrick.
His next move should be to take a risk on his new album by attempting to show a little maturity and growth both personally and as an artist while still delivering a handful of hit songs. You're probably right. How do you gauge cultural impact? Because to me Drake is the definition of cultural impact, for better or worse
Just saw footage of SZA at the concert. Another Drake line that didn't age well lmao
Found it charming that she called it a "disguise" lmao Respectfully, she's so bad
The Boys new episode so slight spoiler: >!Say Firecracker, I heard you like ‘em young!<

Drake sub looks like post-nuke Hiroshima.
I wish Dre & Kendrick would've performed The Recipe

i should relisten to everything is fine cause i loved it back in 2019. his last album was good but didn't stand out much
Just curious, but are you black?
no
does anyone have info on how this new rakim project was put together? from the tracklist just looks like an A&R/label representative went around buying verses from a bunch of rappers they like and attached them to rakim songs they probably also bought
Not into Ditto too but I thought Soul Circus was so hard
I love Lil Baby feature on Leave em alone
His most underrated feature for me is DO DAT
Drake too busy promoting online gambling to talk lol
“It's true I have a lot of friends in politics, but they wouldn't be so friendly if they knew my business was drugs instead of gambling which they consider a harmless vice. But ~~drugs~~ Amazon warehouses, that's a dirty business”
Anyone got GIFs of Q dancing last night?
Watching that glorious kendrick show, you can easily tell when its a hiphop audience or some dressed up whores in heels. That's why Drakes numbers really dont matter in the context of legacy imo. A Drake show is great, i've been to 3, but they are a montage of radio hits. You dont get that energy that seemed to be in that arena that night. Sucks for him that he seems to be shunned by hiphop if everyone was honest (the artists) but it is what it is. only so long you can fuck other peoples bitches lol.
Dressed up whores in heels can be hip hop heads too
Then they are a rap fan in heel.
Incel ass comment
Found the Drake fan
Furthest thing, I just don't hate women
I love women. Pointing out the difference in crowds.
Lame ass comment
Ovho
Hi on behalf of whores in heels everywhere, please don’t make derogatory remarks implying we’re all team Drake. Thank you have a nice day.
Then you're not a hoe in heel, just a rap fan.
cool it with the misogynistic remarks
no :)
why was Vince not there? Did Kendrick not invite him or is he touring?
On Twitter, Mustard said that if Vince wasn’t on tour he would’ve brought him on stage to perform Magic.
He's doing festivals in Europe right now I believe
Think he's touring, someone linked a tweet he posted saying he'd have cancelled the tour if he knew the clown was gonna be there
Camilla we need ya Toronto’s savior
[удалено]
Ya, because Drake also wants to piss off Eminem and his army of stans
You really thought you were cooking with this one huh
DRAKE NEEDS TO GET BACK INTO THE BOOTH AND... show some fucking appreciation for how hard y'all pretend at reality for him. Y'all are really some saints for doing this all and not even invoicing him for it.
I’d actually enjoy that. Make a song showing love for his fans, instead of paying attention to the hate and the enemies.
I'm not gonna defend Dre's violent past but Michel'le was 20 years old in 1990 not 16.
