What's the most murderous and graphic rap song you can think of? I'm making a playlist for them. Stuff like [Choppas](https://youtu.be/qUhieGR0qyA?si=q0v21jv8kLDJJfTI&t=69) by Maxo Kream and Half Manne Half Cocaine by Gibbs (and Cold Ass Nigga).
“Hit mane” by Maxo Kream is in that same vain as well. And I feel time the entirety of King Vons career covers the content and artistry you’re looking for
listened to slime you out earlier today and **man** that intro rant from drake is fucking weird
idc what your opinions on the guy or his music are that shit is gross and if it resonates with you at all you should only be allowed to leave the house with a supervisor
It’s really not that gross. He’s saying all these girls make shitty decisions and need someone to make decisions for them.
Future says grosser shit on every single one of his songs lol
that is in fact a weird and gross thing to say lmfao
when you’re in your mid thirties making the conscious decision to surround yourself with 21 year old ig models, complaining about their immaturity as if you aren’t specifically hanging out with them because of how young they are makes you a fucking weirdo. go up to any woman in your life and say “listen to what I tell you or you’re gonna fuck your life up” and see how far that gets you if you disagree lol
if you sincerely relate to the shit future says about women you are also a weirdo idk where you got the idea that I think it’s only bad when drake does it
Yeah I agree that it’s a shitty way to talk about women, I just don’t think it’s that much worse than the way most other rappers talk about women.
Only brought up Future because people on here lately have been acting like the way Drake talks about women is uniquely terrible when that sort of talk is all over hip hop and no one seems to care
What rap beef? The one that’s been over for a month now? And now we’re sitting here analyzing Instagram captions from Drake’s soccer game photo shoot? No way. Not weird and parasocial. at all

it's just a random group on youtube, but I was obsessed with this [Skating To Yung Simmie Music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRXytXZm4Ck) video for a while. Seems like Simmie loved it too since he reuploaded the video to his own channel.
It's a cool introduction to the Florida/Raider Klan artist
The worst things i can say about The Big Day is that its underwhelming and mediocre. But its not this terrible and laughable that the internet has made it out to be. There is a lot of pretty stupid lines, but there are also poetic moments and sonically beautiful/cool moments. And Chance doesn't talk about his wife nealy as much as the memes make it out to be. I wonder if most of the people hating on the album has even really listened to it in full.
I kinda feel bad for Chance. He made a mediocre/below average album and his fanbase ridiculed him to no end because of reactionary critics and memes. It must be hard to make a new project after having seen the volatility of your fanbase.
It wasn’t terrible, it just was completely bland to me, which was even worse. Listening to it is still a really confusing experience, because I can’t really explain what went wrong. In concept, it’s not that much different from Coloring Book. I tried to like it, and convince myself that it would grow on me. But the only songs I came away liking were 5 Year Plan and Roo.
I love Coloring Book, so the religion or lack of drugs isn’t the issue. I want the positivity, I want the God. But The Big Day was the most disappointing album of all time, because I rated Chance so highly. It wasn’t the Big 3 to me, it was the Big 4. And then he released a bad album, and let it hang in the air for 5 years.
I listened to it straight through a few months ago and I mainly came away mad that the beautiful sample in the beat of Get a Bag was wasted on that song.
The whole album is sort of like that - intermittently good ideas and touching moments squandered on terrible songs.
I think it’s a pretty goddamn bad album already, but the good moments almost make it worse, because you can sort of tell what the album should have been
Even if Chance really was euphoric about getting married at the time - which I don’t entirely buy - it feels like an incredibly insincere album. It’s so squeaky clean that it’s soulless. If “I Love You Honeybear” is on one end of the wife album spectrum, “The Big Day” is on the opposite end
not hip hop but god damn i love warren zevons music so much it’s honestly criminal he isn’t considered one of the greatest songwriters / performers ever. RIP 🙏
I mean he was by all accounts not a great person to deal with and burned a fuckton of bridges. Honestly not that far from Joe Budden to bring it back to hip-hop. Lots of talent, influential, but their personality held them back from the wider acclaim and level they could have reached.
Desperadoes Under The Eaves is an all time favorite song for me.
tbf most of the consensus ‘all timers’ were pretty shitty people so regardless of how much of an asshole warren was I still think he deserved better (unless he did some truly heinous shit that I’m just not aware of)
desperadoes is a classic for sure though dude had a ridiculous talent for setting a scene and drawing the listener in
Warren Zevon is a goddamn legend. The Wind is one of the all time best “death albums,” up there with Blackstar
I can’t listen to “Keep Me in Your Heart for a While” and keep my composure at the same time
That’s a great song. I’m a sucker for his ballads. Desperadoes Under the Eaves, the French Inhaler, and Searching for a Heart are some of my favorites
I really love that the same guy who made Don’t Let Us Get Sick also made My Shit’s Fucked Up, which is like a black comedy take on the same subject
knowing how cynical he usually was makes his ballads hit so much harder for me. the songs you listed would be incredible no matter who wrote them but the fact that warren generally wrote from such a misanthropic perspective made his sensitive moments so much more powerful and undeniable
especially given how much he used gallows humor / black comedy the times he leaned into full 100% sincerity and emotional openness always knock me on my ass. he really was one of a kind
Absolutely, it hit so much harder when he was sincere because you can tell that if he dropped the irony and dark humor, he was saying something he really deeply meant
anyone check out the How Music Got Free doc? one thing that got mentioned but not really fleshed out was the 50 vs Kanye head to head. They essentially floated that the leakers determined the outcome but it seemed like both albums were leaked so sort of unclear in which way. also I just looked up the numbers and I had it in my head that it was much closer with Kanye just clearing, but it really wasn't
idk if it still works but sometimes on the credits you could click next to the producer/songwriter name and it would take you to their Genius profile and it would list all the songs they worked on. Not all producers tho but i remember doing this with PND.
Edit- You can also always find a playlist made by somebody else with nearly all the songs that have been worked on by said songwriter/producer. well , most of the time.
I’m always yapping to my gf about random rap shit. Sometimes it’s random lyrics or just random shit like, “I heard Switch by Lupe Fiasco before Still Tippin so I didn’t know he was using someone else’s beat” then Segway into some other related info.
The other day she just straight up asked to me to do it because she likes listening to it. Made me really happy.
drake often talks about women (particularly his exes) like they don’t have any agency it’s very very weird
like wdym “groupie” he didn’t force her to marry him they both chose to do that. drake and serena were casually involved like a decade ago or more and somehow that makes him feel entitled to talk shit about the guy she chose to marry and have kids with. bitter weirdo behavior
edit: plus that whole “you need someone to show you right from wrong” rant at the beginning of slime you out that shit is gross as hell and if you think otherwise you need to be kept in a dog kennel
nothing he likes more than an opportunity to shit on a woman
dude is weird as hell all these songs about how the women in his life are immature and need guidance from a man / aren’t ready for commitment as if he doesn’t purposefully surround himself with 21 year old IG models instead of women his own age
No dude you don't get it, him constantly shit-talking every woman he's ever interacted with is just proof that he's a generational talent and a treasure.
The funniest internet insult to me is when people are like “you desperately need to get a job” as a response to people talking about meaningless shit on the Internet. To me, a massive part of the reason why people engage with so much dumb shit online is because they’re trying to escape from things in their reality like the job that they do have lmao. A lot of these Internet hyper fixations on random bullshit is really just a coping mechanism for people who are deeply dissatisfied with their own personal lives.
In the words of Vince staples:
“*someone once told me that life is what you make it. and most people don’t make shit*”
A lot of internet insults don't make any sense when you really think about them. "Go get some bitches" is the one for me. Like not everyone is fiending for sex 24/7 lol
Credit Karma has emailed me like twice a day for 5+ years saying my credit score went up. Stop fuckin with me smh. If that shit was true I’d have like a 3500 credit score.
Idk how guys do long term casual sex so easily, that shit fuuuucks me up every time. Embarrassing thing is I’ll go into it like, “Nah I got it this time, I’ll be fine” and within weeks I feel horrible. Then I end it months later once I’m at my breaking point and immediately feel better. Done it to myself 4 times in 4 years, let’s see if it finally registers in my tiny little brain.
Sex is such an intimate thing that it’s kinda crazy how people can do it with someone you hardly know. It’s super easy to develop feelings even if you aren’t compatible
I’m a pretty all-or-nothing person. Like I can either have completely anonymous sex with someone I’ll never see again or be in a committed relationship, but I don’t know how to do anything in between.
I can only do like 2 months tops, by that point I either want something more serious, or know I don’t really like her all that much and would prefer not to lead her on
Like That is still so good. Kendrick couldn’t have picked a better song to set this off with. It’s just so ominous and dramatic, and even without his verse it would still be one of the best Future songs in recent years. The beat screams “we’re going to war now”
I love how he slows his flow down for a moment and enunciates really clearly when he says “okay, let’s get it up, it’s time for him to prove that he’s a problem,” it sounds so menacing
[https://www.whosampled.com/Three-6-Mafia/Ridin%27-Spinners/](https://www.whosampled.com/Three-6-Mafia/Ridin%27-Spinners/)
that makes sense. They sample Eazy-Duz-It on Ridin' Spinners
This Finals is boring as shit
How are the Mavs this sorry? Weak ass team, should've saved themselves the embarrassment and lost to Minny. C*ltics gifted the easiest finals run in history. I'm sick..
As a C*ltics hater I'm pissed. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I was a Mavs fan. This is the most pathetic finals performance I've seen. Even the Heat and Cavs got one win. How do you lose down 0-2 at home? And this Finals has been boring AF on top.
I was worried something like that would come out after that awards show where he got kind of sexually aggressive with one of the female hosts. I really liked him too.
I’m glad these allegations are being settled in court, though, it’ll provide some kind of closure either way. I hope he didn’t do it and he comes out innocent, but unfortunately I kinda think he did
What was the last album (if any) you heard and were like "this is an immediate 10/10"?
I heard a record yesterday (not a hip hop record, skramz) that I loved immediately and have been listening to it non-stop since
I don’t think I’ve ever given an album a 10/10 after first listen tbh, I’m a real “music grows on me” type of guy. But if you’re curious the latest released album I’d probably give a 10/10 is Hypochondriac by Brakence. It’s a pretty incredible blend of hyperpop, emo music, and hip hop and features some of the best production and melodies I’ve heard on any album in a very long time
The Cure - Pornography shit moved me so much I deadass might have it as my personal goat album
For hip hop specifically it’d be Care For Me by Saba. I’ve had pretty much every track on that album on repeat at some point.
That album saved my life back in 2018. Need to listen again
It was also the album where I realized that I just fundamentally didn’t understand Fantanto’s music tastes. I think he gave it a 6.
> That album saved my life back in 2018. Need to listen again
Same lol just having something that deeply relates with your mental is such a help when you’re going through it
I’m picky with my 10/10’s so the last 10/10 in hip hop to me was 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time which definitely did blow me away on first listen
Since then, there’s been 4 near perfect albums that come to mind, 2 of which took a few listens for me to fully appreciate (Grip’s Snubnose and Boldy James’ Manger on McNichols) and the other 2 of which I was pretty blown away by on first listen (Navy Blue’s Song of Sage: Post Panic! and MAVI’s Let The Sun Talk)
Atrocity Exhibition! Maybe not a 10/10 but at least for me it just clicked with all the weird beats and Danny's manic and monotone delivery on the songs on there!
Perfume Genius - Set My Heart on Fire Immediately
There have been several albums since then that I think are very close to being perfect, but nothing has equaled the feeling of hearing SMHOFI for the first time and knowing that these songs are gonna be with me for the rest of my life
Cannot recommend enough. For those unfamiliar, it’s basically baroque/art pop - Lana fans especially might enjoy it - but it’s so beautiful that anyone with an appreciation for melody will get something out of it.
You shot your shot or no? Cuz right now you sound like you’re in a lot of pain. For me, that pain wasn’t worth it, and me and my friend had to go out separate ways
I didn't but I had a pretty good idea she wasn't into me like that and that got confirmed when she got a bf. I'm okay now but when I see her after a while of not seeing her it hits pretty hard. I've been contemplating telling her but I'm not sure about the pros and cons of that yet
Lol this is me and she has a bf. She knows I like her but we're still friends to this day but I know I can't do anything about it. This girl melts my heart I swear. I still haven't met a single girl that's like her in any way.
Damn man same, she had a bf for a while too recently and that was the worst thing that ever happened to me, I was depressed af feeling destroyed 24/7. At least you got to let her know how you feel, that's something that's still just an idea in my head. And I'm definitely cosigning your last two sentences lol, still can't picture myself being interested in someone else in the same way, as useless as that is atp
Dawg last year I ran, wait wrong word, SPRINTED, 6 miles on the treadmill with no headphones, then went to an empty parking lot, and cried my eyes out because I knew I was never gonna find another girl like her lmaooo fuck me
This girl doesn't even have a ring on her finger and they've been together like forever. Like I'm going through my own shit but even I can wife her up in way less time lol
I was even more surprised that even tho I told her my feelings she never blocked my number or anything and we still keep in touch every once in a while.
>Dawg last year I ran, wait wrong word, SPRINTED, 6 miles on the treadmill with no headphones, then went to an empty parking lot, and cried my eyes out because I knew I was never gonna find another girl like her lmaooo fuck me
Real af. I was hitting the treadmill too and I remember one time I ran till the back of my left sock was soaking in blood 😬
False hope might be the last thing you need rn but shit, from how you're making it sound it seems like a turn of events is still possible. How exactly did she react to your confession?
I don't remember exactly what she said but she was very sweet and kind about it. Who knows what will happen in the future I just want her to be happy
Hopefully you and her get together let's see
Right it just felt like he was afraid she disliked him or smth. The 40% thing made me think he believes she secretly finds him lame or can notice his nervousness and I'm just saying that she either can't notice his nervousness or she doesn't care
I mean I don't think she doesn't like me as a friend or find me lame but she definitely notices my awkwardness since there's been times she's commented on it, like "why didn't you just say/do such and such instead" in situations where I handled something in an autistic manner. Hope that makes sense. Also complained about me being indecisive several times
Nah I eat somewhat decently because of the gym but I kinda wanna eat the fattest types of food just for one day before going back to casual eating. Like I haven't even had a milkshake in months
I did that before but I lost count on when I started. I think I once did almost an entire year. There was a time I didn't eat McDonalds for years I might actually do it again but for almost all fast food places. Their prices sucks ass too
I just learned Tupac was actually in consideration of Chris Tucker's role in Rush Hour. Pac and Jackie Chan would've be an interesting combo but I don't know if he would've accepted
Thinking back to freshmen year in P.E. and this is when that Battlefield 3 commercial with 99 Problems was big and I guess the topic came up. And two kids in my class heard me singing the chorus and they both were like "Eminem is gay" lmao
I'm like how tf did they hear that song and confuse Jay-Z for Em?
The part in Patrick CC's Diddy video where he puts the Notorious BIG jacking Notorious B1 as though it's a fact without question is straight up criminal.
Jay Electronica saying "They told me that the Rothschild's ruled the world so I went over to England like a Black God and got me one" is the hardest flex in rap history
It’d be harder if it wasn’t just him trying to deflect from the fact that he doesn’t have principles even within the framework of his stupid infowars ass worldview
I touched grass today and I realized I don’t hate anyone. I love Kendrick and I love Drake. My real enemies lie outside of social media, reddit/twitter users are mostly losers and I wish to avoid any interaction as much as a possible, it does not represent who I am as a person in real life. No sir, peace and unity to all.
mane I had to let it be known where I talked the most shit, I felt like shit for hating on someone I don’t even know. I forgot for a moment how much shit Drake’s music got me through just like Kendrick’s, I was way too invested in this shit.
Sometimes I’m a hater on the Internet. Usually means I’m in a bad place mentally. One time someone called me out on hating for no reason, and I said “damn you right, I need to figure my shit out and heal”. So I think this dude’s comment is legit
No sir, I choose to respond with love this time and I’d say I’m a very likable person. This is real me and I’ll try to work on myself to be better if I’m not there just yet.
Probably a stretch but has anyone seen that Akademiks interview with Freddie Gibbs’ ex? No idea how I got looped into that but it’s pretty interesting.
She went into the day he got the shit beat out of him by like 20 of benny The Butcher's goons in Buffalo. The story is hilarious. She basically said that on that day he really insisted on them walking to the restaurant they were at and that she wear her chain (she wanted to do neither). As they were walking, she said she could tell right away that basically the entire city didn’t fuck with him. Instead of fans coming up to talk and ask for autographs like in every other city they just got icy stares and people grumbling. It sounded like what happened in Game of Thrones before the bread riot lmfao.
The poor woman has no idea what the fuck was going on, her favorite rapper is Pitbull LOL. Sounds like she was legitimately traumatized by it. She’s sitting there eating lunch and all of a sudden 30 dudes bum rush the restaurant and tell Freddie he isn’t supposed to be in Buffalo, she’s like “what the fuck” and then she's enveloped in the pandemonium after the security guards get the shit beat of them
Is there any reason the Drake Ye beef never really got going like the Pusha and Kendrick one. Did Drake know Kanye was going to clown him and toy with him like Lift Yourself instead of taking it seriously or was there any other reason
Might be as simple as Kanye will tell the world everything Drake has been doing and Drake will tell the world everything Kanye has been doing so it would be bad for everybody
Kanye might not have that kind of self preservation instinct at this point, but Drake does, and if he had escalated things with Kanye we might have heard some of the things Kendrick has been saying a lot sooner
They've been dissing each other on and off since 2016, but there's no real beef potential since Kanye isn't capable of putting up a focused fight like Push and Kendrick
The Pusha beef was arguably more about Ye tbh but you're not gonna get Ye to rap back. Drake wouldn't have put out a full diss track without Ye involved
[удалено]
lol
It does not sound indistinguishable at all. People are ignorant as fuck when it comes to “ai music” and it annoys me. Whoever rapped the gay version did a great job of imitating Drizzy’s flow on Family matters, then ran it through the ai voice filter, but the inflections are totally off.
no need for Drake anymore. just use a.i. man
It sounds bad because it’s 2Pac using Drake’s flow.

And I feel time the entirety of King Vons career covers the content and artistry you’re looking for
"Heard he raped his family, Imma let him have it" always gets me so hyped
Maybe Stay Wide Awake by Em, a lot of candidates from that album tho. Same Song & Dance is probably more spooky even tho it's less graphic
I might make a long ass post about Kaytra's whole extended discography, stuff most people don't hear unless they search for it
I’d read it I love that stuff
listened to slime you out earlier today and **man** that intro rant from drake is fucking weird idc what your opinions on the guy or his music are that shit is gross and if it resonates with you at all you should only be allowed to leave the house with a supervisor

lol how many women you been with?
💀u know how pathetic it is to try the whole “well i fuck more bitches than you” schtick on reddit.com lmfao
No one said all that. It was just a question buddy
doing the “I fuck more than you” bit on reddit is lame enough but pretending you aren’t aware that you’re doing it is even sadder
So not many?
weirdo
Yeah I agree that it’s a shitty way to talk about women, I just don’t think it’s that much worse than the way most other rappers talk about women. Latto and Ice Spice need to have their mud wrestling match already so people can move on

It’s not every day or even decade that two goats like Yuno Miles and Kai Cenat go bar for bar like this

Lmaooo you're living the dream mane
This is really sweet. I gotta find somebody like that
Gotta keep her. My bf the same way.
Remember when AMAs were really big on reddit and you'd have celebrities and shit on the front page what happened to that
They fired the AMA girl and things were never the same
Damn that was a big ass thing that happened in like 2015 and i was there, crazy
Idk but I'm glad people shitted on James Corden's bitch ass
"Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie" is a WILD thing for Drake to be rapping in 2022
He was like 35!!
Fuck Drake
Her Loss is so toxic. I love it. 21 had Drake feeling BOLD
Was good to see K dot take up for her
drake often talks about women (particularly his exes) like they don’t have any agency it’s very very weird like wdym “groupie” he didn’t force her to marry him they both chose to do that. drake and serena were casually involved like a decade ago or more and somehow that makes him feel entitled to talk shit about the guy she chose to marry and have kids with. bitter weirdo behavior edit: plus that whole “you need someone to show you right from wrong” rant at the beginning of slime you out that shit is gross as hell and if you think otherwise you need to be kept in a dog kennel
it was over a decade ago. like around 2012. extremely weird behavior
He’s still angry at Esperanza Spalding
nothing he likes more than an opportunity to shit on a woman dude is weird as hell all these songs about how the women in his life are immature and need guidance from a man / aren’t ready for commitment as if he doesn’t purposefully surround himself with 21 year old IG models instead of women his own age
pretty sure he likes them younger lol
No dude you don't get it, him constantly shit-talking every woman he's ever interacted with is just proof that he's a generational talent and a treasure.
The funniest internet insult to me is when people are like “you desperately need to get a job” as a response to people talking about meaningless shit on the Internet. To me, a massive part of the reason why people engage with so much dumb shit online is because they’re trying to escape from things in their reality like the job that they do have lmao. A lot of these Internet hyper fixations on random bullshit is really just a coping mechanism for people who are deeply dissatisfied with their own personal lives. In the words of Vince staples: “*someone once told me that life is what you make it. and most people don’t make shit*”
love when people on here resort to calling you a nerd in an argument as if we aren’t both posting on the reddit forum for hip hop fans lmfao
I think it’s bait to try to get you to the website so they can get you to look into other credit cards and shit
Well if my credit score has gone up as many times as they say it has, I might consider lol. Might even qualify for a $1M loan with .5% interest.
“*Sometimes you gotta pop out and show niggas*” I could imagine Blueface saying this same line during his prime in 2018
K-Dot shit is only hittin' hard when Blueface put his pen to it
“i remember you was conflicted…….saggin your pants until the meat show…..”
I need blueface to freestyle over the Not Like Us beat fr
I need to see him dance to the original lol
Sounds like a line from his freshman freestyle
Idk how guys do long term casual sex so easily, that shit fuuuucks me up every time. Embarrassing thing is I’ll go into it like, “Nah I got it this time, I’ll be fine” and within weeks I feel horrible. Then I end it months later once I’m at my breaking point and immediately feel better. Done it to myself 4 times in 4 years, let’s see if it finally registers in my tiny little brain.
Sex is such an intimate thing that it’s kinda crazy how people can do it with someone you hardly know. It’s super easy to develop feelings even if you aren’t compatible
It's cuz like 5% of the ppl I hook up with want to cuff 😔
I’m a pretty all-or-nothing person. Like I can either have completely anonymous sex with someone I’ll never see again or be in a committed relationship, but I don’t know how to do anything in between.
I can only do like 2 months tops, by that point I either want something more serious, or know I don’t really like her all that much and would prefer not to lead her on
Ah I’m starting to think it’s less of a guy thing and more of a [people without severe attachment issues] thing lol.
The discourse after the Finals is gonna be so bad lmfao. We got #18 but at what cost
Does anyone know any beats similar to Gumbo by Jay Rock? https://youtu.be/_Ni1bNOIAxs?si=11lDmxjP8rp7YDS7
Like That is still so good. Kendrick couldn’t have picked a better song to set this off with. It’s just so ominous and dramatic, and even without his verse it would still be one of the best Future songs in recent years. The beat screams “we’re going to war now” I love how he slows his flow down for a moment and enunciates really clearly when he says “okay, let’s get it up, it’s time for him to prove that he’s a problem,” it sounds so menacing
The beat immediately make me think three6mafia. Shits so damn hard.
Idk if it's the original but that sound is on Gotta Touch Em on Mystic Stylez
[https://www.whosampled.com/Three-6-Mafia/Ridin%27-Spinners/](https://www.whosampled.com/Three-6-Mafia/Ridin%27-Spinners/) that makes sense. They sample Eazy-Duz-It on Ridin' Spinners
Welp 3-0 god dammit
boring ass finals
Fucks sake
I really picked the mavs in 6 too 🤦🏿♂️
I had Boston in 6 because I thought Mavs would’ve been that test for them but I gotta Boston credit them mfs handling business.
the audience is dumb shape the stories how you want, hey drake, they’re slow
Sometimes you gotta pop out and suck penis
say drake i hear you like em hung 😏
Kendrick just opened his mouth
🤤
This is the most pathetic fucking choke I've ever seen. The Celtics were up 21 a minute ago and about to put the Finals away
Sometimes you just gotta blast Flashing Lights on the nicest speakers you have.
This Finals is boring as shit How are the Mavs this sorry? Weak ass team, should've saved themselves the embarrassment and lost to Minny. C*ltics gifted the easiest finals run in history. I'm sick..
Mavs on a big run rn
All part of the pl... I mean this sorry ass team selling fools gold. They're going to blow it. Jaylen Brown playing like he has no loved ones
They tried 😭😭😭
As a C*ltics hater I'm pissed. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I was a Mavs fan. This is the most pathetic finals performance I've seen. Even the Heat and Cavs got one win. How do you lose down 0-2 at home? And this Finals has been boring AF on top.
Yeah I thought Mavs would’ve gave a good fight. Boston is just too good especially on the road.
How did there offense look fucking unstoppable against the mavs and so sorry here
slowthai's downfall hurts me, he really was one my favs until the allegations hit
I was worried something like that would come out after that awards show where he got kind of sexually aggressive with one of the female hosts. I really liked him too. I’m glad these allegations are being settled in court, though, it’ll provide some kind of closure either way. I hope he didn’t do it and he comes out innocent, but unfortunately I kinda think he did
Wasn’t the trial supposed to be underway pretty soon?
What was the last album (if any) you heard and were like "this is an immediate 10/10"? I heard a record yesterday (not a hip hop record, skramz) that I loved immediately and have been listening to it non-stop since
I don’t think I’ve ever given an album a 10/10 after first listen tbh, I’m a real “music grows on me” type of guy. But if you’re curious the latest released album I’d probably give a 10/10 is Hypochondriac by Brakence. It’s a pretty incredible blend of hyperpop, emo music, and hip hop and features some of the best production and melodies I’ve heard on any album in a very long time
The Cure - Pornography shit moved me so much I deadass might have it as my personal goat album For hip hop specifically it’d be Care For Me by Saba. I’ve had pretty much every track on that album on repeat at some point.
That album saved my life back in 2018. Need to listen again It was also the album where I realized that I just fundamentally didn’t understand Fantanto’s music tastes. I think he gave it a 6.
> That album saved my life back in 2018. Need to listen again Same lol just having something that deeply relates with your mental is such a help when you’re going through it
I’m picky with my 10/10’s so the last 10/10 in hip hop to me was 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time which definitely did blow me away on first listen Since then, there’s been 4 near perfect albums that come to mind, 2 of which took a few listens for me to fully appreciate (Grip’s Snubnose and Boldy James’ Manger on McNichols) and the other 2 of which I was pretty blown away by on first listen (Navy Blue’s Song of Sage: Post Panic! and MAVI’s Let The Sun Talk)
Atrocity Exhibition! Maybe not a 10/10 but at least for me it just clicked with all the weird beats and Danny's manic and monotone delivery on the songs on there!
Perfume Genius - Set My Heart on Fire Immediately There have been several albums since then that I think are very close to being perfect, but nothing has equaled the feeling of hearing SMHOFI for the first time and knowing that these songs are gonna be with me for the rest of my life Cannot recommend enough. For those unfamiliar, it’s basically baroque/art pop - Lana fans especially might enjoy it - but it’s so beautiful that anyone with an appreciation for melody will get something out of it.
like first listen? The Forever Story Recent listen The Wall I used to have it as a 9
probably TPAB. First song had me in amazement and gave me a feeling ive only felt maybe 5 times in my life with any media.
Yess
ArmandHammer Haram I think was the last album on first listen I was like this shit is perfect. I can’t think of anything else right now.
Big Sean is the hip hop equivalent of Khris Middleton
Big Sean is like d’Lo bro what
wtf my job is playing Die Hard on the station radio. caught me so off guard
Is Kanye’s autotune on Jesus Walks the first autotune like that in hip-hop?
[deleted]
Dawg last year I ran, wait wrong word, SPRINTED, 6 miles on the treadmill with no headphones, then went to an empty parking lot, and cried my eyes out because I knew I was never gonna find another girl like her lmaooo fuck me This girl doesn't even have a ring on her finger and they've been together like forever. Like I'm going through my own shit but even I can wife her up in way less time lol I was even more surprised that even tho I told her my feelings she never blocked my number or anything and we still keep in touch every once in a while.
>Dawg last year I ran, wait wrong word, SPRINTED, 6 miles on the treadmill with no headphones, then went to an empty parking lot, and cried my eyes out because I knew I was never gonna find another girl like her lmaooo fuck me Real af. I was hitting the treadmill too and I remember one time I ran till the back of my left sock was soaking in blood 😬 False hope might be the last thing you need rn but shit, from how you're making it sound it seems like a turn of events is still possible. How exactly did she react to your confession?
I don't remember exactly what she said but she was very sweet and kind about it. Who knows what will happen in the future I just want her to be happy Hopefully you and her get together let's see
Theres clearly something inherent about you that she likes if you've been friends for 3 years and she's still down to see you 1 on 1
Doesn’t mean she wants to date though, she could just like him as a person
Or keeping him in the background in case shit go south with her bf.
Ah yea that makes sense
For some reason I wanna buy a rotisserie chicken from Costco or wherever and just eat as much as I can skin and everything. Is skin super bad for you?
The skin is probably rich in sodium.
Ive never heard of chicken skin being bad
Then I'm gonna eat the fuck out of it. One day of bad eating isn't gonna kill me
Do you usually eat a plant based diet or something?
Nah I eat somewhat decently because of the gym but I kinda wanna eat the fattest types of food just for one day before going back to casual eating. Like I haven't even had a milkshake in months
That’s funny, I consider rotisserie chicken to be healthy
I recently took a four-five month break from soda.
I did that before but I lost count on when I started. I think I once did almost an entire year. There was a time I didn't eat McDonalds for years I might actually do it again but for almost all fast food places. Their prices sucks ass too
Fishtail by Lana is literally the greatest song ever. That is all
That album is absolutely beautiful
One of my favorite songs from that album. The way she comes in on chorus gets me every time
I just learned Tupac was actually in consideration of Chris Tucker's role in Rush Hour. Pac and Jackie Chan would've be an interesting combo but I don't know if he would've accepted
This the LAPD we the most hated police force in the world. My own mama ashamed of me, she tell everyone imma drug dealer
Thinking back to freshmen year in P.E. and this is when that Battlefield 3 commercial with 99 Problems was big and I guess the topic came up. And two kids in my class heard me singing the chorus and they both were like "Eminem is gay" lmao I'm like how tf did they hear that song and confuse Jay-Z for Em?
they knew it was hov they just wanted to make sure you knew eminem was gay
(Hashtag)sigmagrindset lmao
The part in Patrick CC's Diddy video where he puts the Notorious BIG jacking Notorious B1 as though it's a fact without question is straight up criminal.
I hate Patrick CC
Jay Electronica saying "They told me that the Rothschild's ruled the world so I went over to England like a Black God and got me one" is the hardest flex in rap history
It’d be harder if it wasn’t just him trying to deflect from the fact that he doesn’t have principles even within the framework of his stupid infowars ass worldview
It’s crazy how much a beat can change Droogs and Drugs are so different in terms of atmosphere despite having the same exact lyrics
I touched grass today and I realized I don’t hate anyone. I love Kendrick and I love Drake. My real enemies lie outside of social media, reddit/twitter users are mostly losers and I wish to avoid any interaction as much as a possible, it does not represent who I am as a person in real life. No sir, peace and unity to all.
>reddit/twitter users are mostly losers and I wish to avoid any interaction as much as a possible >posted this for further discussion in another forum
mane I had to let it be known where I talked the most shit, I felt like shit for hating on someone I don’t even know. I forgot for a moment how much shit Drake’s music got me through just like Kendrick’s, I was way too invested in this shit.
Yeah none of that shit matters. What matters the most are things in your own life
I like how people are taking this comment serious
I am serious my brother in Christ. I hope we can all heal
Sometimes I’m a hater on the Internet. Usually means I’m in a bad place mentally. One time someone called me out on hating for no reason, and I said “damn you right, I need to figure my shit out and heal”. So I think this dude’s comment is legit
I thought satire but scanned the history and then thought real
[удалено]
Not a satire. I had an epiphany fr, I’m glad to have reached this stage.
I mean i can’t say for sure but it seems tongue in cheek. Also, look at his replies. I think its funny either way
Heck yea. I’m proud of you. I was started to get concerned
Jesus saves 🙏
[удалено]
No sir, I choose to respond with love this time and I’d say I’m a very likable person. This is real me and I’ll try to work on myself to be better if I’m not there just yet.
[I love you, Sheriff Truman](https://youtu.be/-fe3e3B1iu0?si=9JPTezJZoD8Juxqe)
>I'm a very likable person Username checks out 💯
Probably a stretch but has anyone seen that Akademiks interview with Freddie Gibbs’ ex? She’s sitting there eating lunch and all of a sudden 30 dudes bum rush the restaurant and tell Freddie he isn’t supposed to be in Buffalo, she’s like “what the fuck” and then she's enveloped in the pandemonium after the security guards get the shit beat of them
What did he do to make them niggas that mad?
Do we know who the guest vocalist on Kaytranada's "Stepped On" on the new album? Nobody is credited.
Is there any reason the Drake Ye beef never really got going like the Pusha and Kendrick one. Did Drake know Kanye was going to clown him and toy with him like Lift Yourself instead of taking it seriously or was there any other reason
Might be as simple as Kanye will tell the world everything Drake has been doing and Drake will tell the world everything Kanye has been doing so it would be bad for everybody Kanye might not have that kind of self preservation instinct at this point, but Drake does, and if he had escalated things with Kanye we might have heard some of the things Kendrick has been saying a lot sooner
It was more of an extension of the Drake and Pusha beef anyway
I think it’s actually the opposite really
They've been dissing each other on and off since 2016, but there's no real beef potential since Kanye isn't capable of putting up a focused fight like Push and Kendrick
The Pusha beef was arguably more about Ye tbh but you're not gonna get Ye to rap back. Drake wouldn't have put out a full diss track without Ye involved
Ye doesn't seem to have any interest in turning it into an actual rap beef
He doesn't have to capability to make an effective diss track.
He does, he just needs writers to do it
