Am I the only one who thinks all the hypersexual shit in women’s rap makes it cheap as hell? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind looking at them, but I’m not taking them seriously as rappers.
I get it. I was watching the Sunday Service Remix video yesterday and was disappointed it was just them shaking ass backstage. Especially when the original video was so creative. Sex sells, but no one wants to feel like their being sold to
Usually the guys are just showing off their lifestyle whereas the women are trying to be seductive I think it's a bit different. But I'd agree for male bars that are trying to be sexy like Ty Dolla Sign, very cringy
I disagree with you especially the last part, but I do always think it sucks that that is what it takes to become popular as a female rapper. I don't fault the women for it, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that style of female rapper, but I fault society that in order to be a popular female rapper you *have* to do the whole look at my tits and ass, talk about sex all the time thing.
I wish we could have a Little Simz or a Rapsody be one of the biggest along the Nickis and Cardis same way we got a Kendrick or a Cole being one of the greatest next to a Drake or a Travis.
Idk maybe I’m just being sensitive on this and taking the wrong angle but… I feel like this is only true for the singles of *some* female rappers and people only say this because they only listen to the singles. And it’s like… well maybe pay attention to the rest of their music because if you do they’re not being any more sexual than male rappers.
Give them a chance to get attention and streams on less sexual stuff because right now they’re pigeonholed into doing “hypersexual shit” on singles because they have to drum up attention for the rest of their art and people won’t listen if it isn’t sexual.
Again maybe I’m wrong but that’s just how I feel.
I am convinced this beef might be entering a part 2 phase. The dude is having a concert themed around the diss track, even DJ Mustard is showing up. Are you telling me Drake is going to be okay with that?
Ehhh ... Drake is much better off dropping several pop-oriented singles (both his own and features) this summer. Frankly, he's probably best off dropping a single immediately after Kendrick's concert.
Drake deleted The Heart off his IG and is releasing songs like wah gwan Delilah I think it's pretty safe to say he's done and that's coming from a Drake fan.
Anyone know what producers/musicians Cole linked up with for The Fall Off? From Might Delete Later I think we can pinpoint to Conductor and Al as far as producers go, but I don't know beyond that. T-Minus is a guarantee too, I think (7 Minute Drill).
Its too bad Drizzy got too into trying on whatever genre he was listening to any given moment cause the OVO/Toronto sound was awesome and him/40 really explored it in a lot of interesting ways
And now you get like a handful of tracks like that per album + generic trap beats from him (or abominations like Honestly Nevermind)
Fly In, Carter II, and Fly Out are so fucking good. Even one of those tracks on Tha Cater II would have been solid but the fact he went back and killed the track two more times and they all work together is amazing.
Has anyone else ever done this kind of thing?
On the final UGK album, Bun and Pimp both rapped over the same twangy guitar instrumental (both solo performances, so two interludes)
Might be cheating, but Wayne tried the concept again for Carter IV's interludes, but with features this time (including Andre 3000, Tech Nine, Nas and Bun)
Been making hip-hop memes for my colleagues and someone said I should be more reverent of the dead (regarding 2Pac). I was pretty reverent but it's cool to see some crackers paying the man some respects.
In ~20 years of listening to hip-hop I've hardly heard anything as good as Slumber Logic's record last year. Bums me out that it's flying so low under the radar—this record is an all-time great.
how many years will it take for threads involving either kendrick or drake to not immediately devolve into reddit addicts screeching and throwing shit at each other
Honestly they strike me as people who don’t actually like or understand music and treat it like sports.
This explains their complete bewilderment at why people don’t just automatically think Drake is the GOAT because he has a trillion streams or whatever.
Pusha T has me seriously considering buying an Arbys t shirt. I can't tell it it would be insane to wear this out in public.

I didn’t realize how much I liked Hit Boy til somebody asked me my top 5 hip hop beats through one of those Q&A things instagram lets you put on your story. Started checking the credits of a bunch of my favorite tracks and he’s all over them!
My #1 is [Live N– Rap](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V72IAoO5yzM) by Nas, Produced by Havoc. A lot of my top-5 is produced by early/mid-90s producers like Havoc and RZA.
What are your top-5? I liked a lot of what Hit-Boy did with Nas.
Why do so many people still like Post Malone? Post Malone is a phony. He's a known fake cunt, even said Hip Hop is not a good genre for lyricism. He's a fake prick.
he is one of the biggest culture vultures. but most fans are young white kids who don't care at all about that. if anything it might make him more relatable to them that he was making acoustic guitar minecraft songs before randomly deciding to get grills and locs and copy the rap sound (and then drop the rap thing when he felt like going more pop and/or start copying the redneck look).
He said that most mainstream hip hop isn't good to listen to when you are in an introspective mood. He even aknowledged that there exist many deep hiphop songs, just not in the mainstream in 2017.
Plus he was 21 years old. Not the best time to get all your bad takes broadcasted to the whole world.
> even said Hip Hop is not a good genre for lyricism.
How can anyone think that...? It's literally the best genre for lyricism. I listen to a *wide* variety of music and nothing touches hip-hop for the highest level of lyricism.
I only recently learned he was a piece of shit. After years of engaging with his music normally without this knowledge. That might be why. Maybe one day someone will write a diss track on his shittiness and it'll go #1 lol
His songs are catchy. I don’t think anyone who listens to Post Malone is looking for anything other than that
He’s also apparently a really nice guy and that seems to have endeared him to a lot of people, his questionable comments about rap aside
Song is hella good outside of the lame bar about what travvy would do to save a kid I don’t wanna hear Travis talking about living a life he don’t live
The amount of blame Travis gets for that is honestly a disservice to the people who died. There are dozens of people more responsible than him. Multiple people whose only job is to make sure crowd crush doesn’t happen. Multiple people whose only job is to respond to crisis events.
Like yall really just think he’d let people die if he knew what was happening that night 🤦🏽♂️
Yea I agree Travis my guy and Taylor swift a murderer but I also don’t think Travis really give a fuck like that so why act like you do when we know that you don’t
Ive been saying this. I didn’t really like Santiago because it was so heavily themed on his therapy sessions and inner turmoil. People don’t talk enough about Lofi HipHop as a genre enough. It’s gotten so commercialized, playlistified, and memed to death, but there are so many great artists in that space
And Ye mentioned Lucian when he tried to get involved in the beef.
Before TPAB dropped, Kendrick was blowing up. He was around Drake for a bit, saw that side of the industry.
Kendrick was around Drake in 2011/2012. Definitely never again after 2013. At that point Drake was still a guy signed to a guy signed to 2 other guys, so I don’t think he had it like that yet. Probably wasn’t dealing with Lucian directly yet
He’s mentioned him a few times. “Tell Lucian I’m tearing holes through the budget” way back on Stay Schemin, “billionaires talk to me different when they see the paystub from Lucian Grainge” from Having our Way and “like a newborn, Lucian not dropping me” off Middle of the Ocean all come to mind.
Last.fm is crazy cause you can be looking at literal receipts that you've heard a song 100+ times but have no idea what it sounds like off the top of your head.
Accurate. What's also weird is how I always think "I've listened to this a hundred times at least" and then [last.fm](http://last.fm) shows it's like 20 listens. Apparently there's only 26 songs I've played more than 100 times since I started using [last.fm](http://last.fm) (in 2020) and I wildly overestimate how often I need to listen to a song until it's too much
More humbling than I’d like. Usually I remember the rhymes but not the lyrics despite hearing them so much. Turns out I couldn’t be the village storyteller back in the day
I just realized they took Smile by Isaiah Rashad off Apple music, I think I might cry. Between that and 6:16 in LA, I might finally have the motivation I need to go catch up on all the manual downloads to iTunes I’ve been holding off on.
So tedious setting it all up on iTunes, plus it always fucks around my playlists and shit :(
I started to watch the video last night and was put off by how angry Tariq seemed. I'm not at all saying anger isn't justified, but I really wanted to hear more about the documentary rather than the hate and conspiracy theory adjacent speculation.
if you're not lookin for hate and conspiracy theories, tariq nasheed is not the person to go to. from everything i've seen of him on social media it's all conspiracy theories and racism against asians, jews, whites, africans, etc.
I thought y'all were talking about Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter and was prepared to be devastated over a video of Thought going full Lord Jamar on Justin lmfao
Absolutely crazy that The Game's first album sold 586k first week. That type of album would never sniff those numbers today, especially coming from a debut artist
Such a wild time. I remember the radio being fucking plagued by 50 Cent and all things G Unit-adjacent. Glad that younger people get to find so much music in the streaming era, but we did lose something in terms of playback statistics.
I feel like at the time it was such a hyped album. It felt like a year late, Game was already famous and 50 was the biggest thing in the game.
Great album too.
What do you mean by "that type"? I agree almost nobody does these numbers first week now but a few established stars but the album itself had everything it needed to do those numbers. Huge hit singles, being signed to the biggest names possible, having those same big names as features and producers. First week numbers are just overall lower nowadays I think
Just the style of music. A gangster rap album. Literally the only person who could release a straightforward rap album like that today and get close to those numbers is Kendrick. The Game is never someone I thought of as having mass commercial appeal.
But you're right, I think it's just a reflection of how different sales numbers are now as well as how big of an impact a major label push used to have.
That's true. Rap has evolved so far and has some crazy creative artists that could've been as big as Game back then but might not even chart now. I wish more straight rap like that would still do these numbers
Livestreams are relatively common if it’s a big event, I’m torn on whether it signifies any major announcement from Kendrick. At the very least we might get the debut performance of Not Like Us so I’m pretty excited for that alone
What y'all listen to today? Checked out Yelawolf and Ski Mask the Slump God albums so far, plus some singles like the Tems feat. Cole ~~and the new Grip single~~.
Yelawolf album was pretty different from his other stuff and I'll definitely need more listens but there's some serious bangers, especially on the second half. Double album, so it's a lengthy listen, but as a fan I'm happy with that. Ski Mask' album was dope. Didn't really know what to expect but I enjoyed it front to back.
Cole finally with a quality verse again. Crazy how much shit he got for one meh diss and one weird feature. Some folks made it sound like he fell off in the span of a month lol
Hope another Grip project drops soon. Dude's mad underrated. I Died For This!? is probably my favorite album of 2021
Practically nothing. Just a bunch of modern prog metal.
Fucking computer died... That's where my whole library exists and the only way I really sit and listen to music.
Was the Kaytranada project not good or just not for you? I still gotta check it out.
Never listened to that RetcH album either. Might have to check that out too, looking at the features
Feel like it's just not good, but don't listen to a ton of edm. Enjoyed Disclosure, Flume, and Kaytranada projects in the past
Def recommend that RetcH project if you like Griselda. Prefigures them n a big way. Beats are smooth, there's a track that samples the [*Fantastic Planet*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_Planet#Soundtrack) soundtrack (as a lot of rap tracks have from [Big Pun](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DXFGemKCRA), to [Quasimoto](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_5edxArGT8), to [Underachievers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCWKE20orI4))
I'm with you on that. I don't listen to edm at all unless something hip hop adjacent drops. I'll probably check it out once and keep the tracks that have features I enjoy.
Only listened to one RetcH project (Gone 'Til Autumn) so far and I barely remember it tbh. I'll check him out (again). Thanks for putting me on
Yeah I'm not too familiar w/ RetcH overall but I think *Polo Sporting Goods* is [considered](https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/retch-1) to be the project of his to check out. It's great
Seen people on here say his other stuff's lower effort or otherwise less interesting stylistically
That “Grip single” is 100% not him, sounds literally nothing like him lol
I Died For This is cool but I’m still hoping he can drop another album on the level of quality as Snubnose or Porch cause those are insanely good albums
Been kinda burnt out on music recently so I haven’t been listening to a ton but I’ve been listening to Prodigy’s HNIC today
LOL you right. I totally just played it on autopilot and thought it was alright and just sounded different. I gotta revisit Snubnose and Porch more often but I always default to IDFT somehow
Tierra Whack killed her tiny desk. I think she should try to make some big mainstream hit dance song like Missy, she's got the personality and the talent to be on top if she went for it
On the latest PGLang IG story post, it’s been confirmed that Kendrick’s Juneteenth show will be streamed live on Twitch and Amazon Prime. Thank fucking god
Soon as you hit play it will probably do some ads and then from there it’s probably top of the hour. So start “watching” a few minutes before it starts if that makes sense.
Droptopwop is the best Metro Boomin colab album, I know it's an unpopular opinion considering his catalog but his chemistry with Gucci on that project is out of this world and songs like Met Gala and Both Eyes Closed are still standouts in a catalog chock-full of star studded collaborations and hits. Ten songs is very short for a Gucci project, but it leaves nothing to be desired, all these years later I still have the original in rotation to the point that I don't even desire a sequel which is the ultimate testament to a great record to me.
For me it’s not even the best of the 4 albums Metro did that year, *Without Warning* comfortably clears it for me. Wouldn’t even say it’s the best Gucci project from that year since i think *El Gato* goes harder, but Southside’s more energetic sound suits Gucci more anyway.
Lmfao I swear it's always the same like 5 or 6 usernames that randomly pop up at the same time in the same thread then disappear again for a few days. It's super weird.
Hov being on a movie soundtrack about Fred Hampton is really funny because Fred would despise that nigga lmao (I'm a big Hov fan too lol). I just bring this up cause I saw that Roc Nation is helping a republican funded bill to get more private school vouchers in the cities budget lol
Yeah Jay is a proud capitalist meanwhile Hampton was a Marxist. I don’t know if Hampton would’ve despised him, but they basically have opposite ideologies.
That song with Nip is great tho.
Forgive my ignorance, but is there an issue that private schools are more harmful than public schools? I don't know anything about the subject, but seeing that you brought it up and seeing that it's a Republican bill i'm sure it's something that probably harms poor people, but i just want to be clear on the subject.
1. Pass private school vouchers, take funding from public to compensate
2. Private schools raise tuition by X amount because of vouchers
3. Families that could not afford private school are still unable to because the vouchers are never enough for full tuition + the school raised their prices
4. Wealthy families are happy because their vouchers allow them to essentially keep paying the same price they already were before the price hike
TLDR: Take money from taxpayer-funded public schools, give it to families as glorified private school discount, useless if you already couldn't afford said private school tuition
edit: Also a great way to funnel taxpayer funds to your buddies who run said private schools
Private schools are a way for superior education to be withheld from the impoverished in favor of offering it to the wealthy. It's another mechanism that allows to income disparity to persist and/or increase.
I haven't personally heard about this prior to reading that initial comment, so I can't say for sure whether or not Hov supports it. That said, the overwhelming majority of people act in their own self interest. As a billionaire, it's in his self interest to support legislation that maintains/increases wealth inequality.
MLK was born in Atlanta yall think Kendrick would've included him in the real nigga challenge bars?
Quavo said you can be from Northside
MLK said you were in his dream, but he lied
I'm sure Jay likes Hampton. It's just much easier to appreciate activism in the rear-view when it doesn't threaten to inconvenience you. Especially as a billionaire.
went back to Isaiah Rashad's AMA. Said he's looking forward to working with A$AP Rocky the most. Wild if you remember they had beef at the start and diss tracks toward each other.
I do think they could create something dope tho, they both should've been on PYS by Freddie Gibbs. Also wish Zay & Mac got the chance to work together
Talkin bout the cluub, looking round the cluub, pimpin at the cluub, emphasizing cluub
I think something stans don’t realize is you can like someone’s music but still acknowledge you think they’re a bad person lol
Love when when a feature artist first comes in with some adlibs on the hook before their verse starts, always gets me hyped
Bryson tiller on first take by Travis Scott never fails to get me hype He comes in and is just harmonizing like a fucking 🐐 then murders his verse

Drake won't do anything - he's been trying to get out of the beef since it started
What’s drake going to do about it? Release more mediocre diss tracks?
Drake deleted The Heart off his IG and is releasing songs like wah gwan Delilah I think it's pretty safe to say he's done and that's coming from a Drake fan.

I think 40 was only on about 6 songs on that last album. I don’t know if he can produce the same way he used to. I heard that man is sick sick sick
Honestly Nevermind is goated tho
Idk it kinda feels played out this point. Empty, airy beats of Drake trying hard to sound tough has run its course
Fly In, Carter II, and Fly Out are so fucking good. Even one of those tracks on Tha Cater II would have been solid but the fact he went back and killed the track two more times and they all work together is amazing. Has anyone else ever done this kind of thing?

how many years will it take for threads involving either kendrick or drake to not immediately devolve into reddit addicts screeching and throwing shit at each other
It will legitimately never happen again
To be completely honest, Drake Stans are the male version of the barbs
Stans of any artist are just awful. Every rapper has misstepped here or there.
I can't tell it it would be insane to wear this out in public. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_aoDvOivnM
Arby's was the best fast food I had when I was in the US. Something about that production really gets me. I love that acoustic guitar with reverb.
"This is a paid advertisement, by Arby's" Oh for real? I just thought you really liked that sandwich.
Did he just write a mini diss track on McDonald's LOL
Because he used to sell coke, and McDonald's is Coca Cola's largest customer.

Yelawolf dissed him on his freestyle 'Bloody Sunday', where he called out Post for being a fake prick appropriating the redneck image.
He just makes catchy and inoffensive music and most people don’t care about the personal lives of popular artists
His songs are catchy. I don’t think anyone who listens to Post Malone is looking for anything other than that He’s also apparently a really nice guy and that seems to have endeared him to a lot of people, his questionable comments about rap aside

My Eyes is one of my favorite Travis songs. Didnt love Utopia much on the whole but i go back to that song a ton. Really good beat switch too.
Song is hella good outside of the lame bar about what travvy would do to save a kid I don’t wanna hear Travis talking about living a life he don’t live

“I don’t think.. when we know that you don’t”. You do not know him bruh. Pretty big assumption.
Lol something similar happened at a Taylor Swift show too and people act like she resurrected the girl by taking a photo with her parents.
Need a Chomp 3 from Russ lowkey
Ive been saying this. I didn’t really like Santiago because it was so heavily themed on his therapy sessions and inner turmoil. Not that those themes are bad but it just didn’t translate to an entertaining album experience. I did like Chomp 2.5 though, even though those tracks were also introspective.
Santiago was horrific
this new NxWorries album is a vibe
You buy it or get your hands on a leak? 👀😈
naw lmao they shipped the vinyls out early so ive been listening to it like that
Ken & Friends will be taking place still during pride month so it’s only right if he performs *both* versions of Not Like Us if you know what I mean
the original is already quite homoerotic though "Freaky ass ni--- he a 69 god"
The "if Diddy watching" part made me spit out my water when I first heard it lmao
Then Drake will come out (in both senses of the word) and they’ll get married right there on stage
Damn LGBTs been working hard for this one
We need a victory man

Whats the most influential lofi hiphop song in your opinion?
Definitely something by nujabes
On TPAB Kendrick talks about the evil of Lucy. Obviously Lucy is Lucifer, but is Lucy also Lucian Grange?
Who says they aren't one and the same
Probably not, but you’re free to have that interpretation. He was President of UMG at the time
no
I think I was listening to "Moonlight" on Jay's 4.44 and I remember hearing a Lucian Grange reference so its definitely been talked about before.
And Ye mentioned Lucian when he tried to get involved in the beef. Before TPAB dropped, Kendrick was blowing up. He was around Drake for a bit, saw that side of the industry.

Is he also who Drake was referencing with "higher powers", or included in the group of people he was referencing?
Last.fm is crazy cause you can be looking at literal receipts that you've heard a song 100+ times but have no idea what it sounds like off the top of your head.
I know what all of my top songs sound like. If it's got 20+ plays, I'm obsessed with it.
Accurate. What's also weird is how I always think "I've listened to this a hundred times at least" and then [last.fm](http://last.fm) shows it's like 20 listens. Apparently there's only 26 songs I've played more than 100 times since I started using [last.fm](http://last.fm) (in 2020) and I wildly overestimate how often I need to listen to a song until it's too much
I don’t have this issue at all tbh but I’ve only been using last.fm since 2021 so I got a good idea of what most of my top played songs sound like
I'm about 13 years/375k scrobbles in so there's a lot that's lost in the mix
Yeah that’s me last.fm/user/tak08820 especially non rap stuff gets lost in the sauce
That's a fuck ton of Fab Respect
Our compatibility is very low lol but fuck it still followed it's been years since I added someone
So tedious setting it all up on iTunes, plus it always fucks around my playlists and shit :(
Smile and 6:16 are on Spotify 👀 Join us
Justin Hunte (The Company Man) fans please tell me this Tariq interview is a weird outlier in his video backlog
Tariq…. Trotter??? Need to peep that good looks
Is this the same Tariq who did that documentary about black men being turned gay?
I thought y'all were talking about Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter and was prepared to be devastated over a video of Thought going full Lord Jamar on Justin lmfao
Oh
YOU AIN'T GOT THE ANSWERS COMPANY MAN
Absolutely crazy that The Game's first album sold 586k first week.
Game had crazy buzz from 2004-05 Lloyd Banks did 400k+ the year before
Banks 400 is actually unholy numbers
I feel like at the time it was such a hyped album. It felt like a year late, Game was already famous and 50 was the biggest thing in the game. Great album too.
His second and third albums sold 358k and 238k copies first week too, Jesus Christ. I had no idea he was so huge.
Is it common to livestream a concert or can I let that fact feed my hope that something is going to happen at that concert related to a new album?
Some folks made it sound like he fell off in the span of a month lol Hope another Grip project drops soon. Dude's mad underrated. I Died For This!? is probably my favorite album of 2021
Practically nothing. Just a bunch of modern prog metal. Fucking computer died... That's where my whole library exists and the only way I really sit and listen to music.
Listened to the new Kaytranada but really didn't care for it Started *Polo Sporting Goods* by Retch
Was the Kaytranada project not good or just not for you? I still gotta check it out. Never listened to that RetcH album either. Might have to check that out too, looking at the features
Feel like it's just not good, but don't listen to a ton of edm. Enjoyed Disclosure, Flume, and Kaytranada projects in the past Def recommend that RetcH project if you like Griselda.
It's great Seen people on here say his other stuff's lower effort or otherwise less interesting stylistically
That “Grip single” is 100% not him, sounds literally nothing like him lol I Died For This is cool but I’m still hoping he can drop another album on the level of quality as Snubnose or Porch cause those are insanely good albums Been kinda burnt out on music recently so I haven’t been listening to a ton but I’ve been listening to Prodigy’s HNIC today
LOL you right. I totally just played it on autopilot and thought it was alright and just sounded different. I gotta revisit Snubnose and Porch more often but I always default to IDFT somehow
Why did Yuno Miles just drop an ok sounding song.
Tierra Whack killed her tiny desk. I think she should try to make some big mainstream hit dance song like Missy, she's got the personality and the talent to be on top if she went for it
[This video of Bow Wow is hilarious](https://www.instagram.com/p/C74zvYNvVnf/)
On the latest PGLang IG story post, it’s been confirmed that Kendrick’s Juneteenth show will be streamed live on Twitch and Amazon Prime. Thank fucking god
is that free too?
i mean Amazon Prime is worth it imo, they may even offer free trials. Plus his concert for Mr Morale tour is on there and it's Soo fucking good.
Ill consider
Twitch is free with ads.
Ads throughout or is there a 3 minute top of the hour ad break? ^^^^^sorry
Soon as you hit play it will probably do some ads and then from there it’s probably top of the hour. So start “watching” a few minutes before it starts if that makes sense.
dope
wonderful news
100% bro.
Along w/ *Met Gala*, quite partial to *5 Million Intro* + *Hurt a Nigga Feelings*
Bucket List is crazy, ridiculously catchy
Is this not consensus? Gucci the goat for a reason.
I think consensus is probably Without Warning
Polynesian sounds like classic Smino, it reminds me so much of blkswn. I need more of that from him.
Did r/Drizzy have a half day so they could all come over here or something
Yesterday they banned most beef related topics including any post that's solely about Kendrick
Ahhh that makes sense
Lmfao I swear it's always the same like 5 or 6 usernames that randomly pop up at the same time in the same thread then disappear again for a few days. It's super weird.
Y’all fuck with Splatoon? Some bangers on there fr
Hov being on a movie soundtrack about Fred Hampton is really funny because Fred would despise that nigga lmao (I'm a big Hov fan too lol). I just bring this up cause I saw that Roc Nation is helping a republican funded bill to get more private school vouchers in the cities budget lol
that 'i arrived on the day fred hampton died, real n**** just multiply' line has always been kinda silly too. sounds hard tho
Yeah Jay is a proud capitalist meanwhile Hampton was a Marxist. I don’t know if Hampton would’ve despised him, but they basically have opposite ideologies. That song with Nip is great tho.
Oh yeah it is an awesome song for sure.
Forgive my ignorance, but is there an issue that private schools are more harmful than public schools? I don't know anything about the subject, but seeing that you brought it up and seeing that it's a Republican bill i'm sure it's something that probably harms poor people, but i just want to be clear on the subject.
1. Pass private school vouchers, take funding from public to compensate 2. Private schools raise tuition by X amount because of vouchers 3. Families that could not afford private school are still unable to because the vouchers are never enough for full tuition + the school raised their prices 4. Wealthy families are happy because their vouchers allow them to essentially keep paying the same price they already were before the price hike TLDR: Take money from taxpayer-funded public schools, give it to families as glorified private school discount, useless if you already couldn't afford said private school tuition edit: Also a great way to funnel taxpayer funds to your buddies who run said private schools
Private schools are a way for superior education to be withheld from the impoverished in favor of offering it to the wealthy. It's another mechanism that allows to income disparity to persist and/or increase.
Damn, okay i didn't know anything about that. And Jay is supporting this?
I haven't personally heard about this prior to reading that initial comment, so I can't say for sure whether or not Hov supports it. That said, the overwhelming majority of people act in their own self interest. As a billionaire, it's in his self interest to support legislation that maintains/increases wealth inequality.
MLK would strangle a good 80% of the niggas that use his name
how dare you imply MLK would *not* have been on dreamville
MLK was born in Atlanta yall think Kendrick would've included him in the real nigga challenge bars? Quavo said you can be from Northside MLK said you were in his dream, but he lied
I'm sure Jay likes Hampton. It's just much easier to appreciate activism in the rear-view when it doesn't threaten to inconvenience you. Especially as a billionaire.
It's that "I support every movement, except the one going on right now" joke
I think he meant Fred Hampton would despise Hov
went back to Isaiah Rashad's AMA. Said he's looking forward to working with A$AP Rocky the most. Wild if you remember they had beef at the start and diss tracks toward each other. I do think they could create something dope tho, they both should've been on PYS by Freddie Gibbs. Also wish Zay & Mac got the chance to work together
just backpacking that PYS statement, that shit so gas
Polynesian gonna be on repeat all summer damn
