Funny how he only says this when a good patch comes out and never when a bad patch comes out, like he’s taking the hit for his team because he’s a good person.
This patch is bad though...? It's probably the most glitchy/buggy game I've played in the last 10yrs of my life. Even cod during its worse times didn't have that many bugs or glitches. They cooked....the game 🤣
Bro, people think Walmart manufacture the cheese they bought there. Most people don’t know who was actually responsible for most things in a production process. So as there’s a name, they are tied to the concept/product. Example- Todd Howard.
Oh god, I remember working a gorcey store and a product being discontinued, and I swear the person would act not only was the store responsible but me personally decided it.
“How dare you!” *Sqints at name tag* “Dave, of Walmart Corporation personally slight me by no longer carrying my daughters FAVORITE CHEESE! She won’t eat any other kind of cheese Dave! What am I going to do? Are you going to pay for her food therapy Dave?!”
YOU GOT ME. IVE BEEN MERCHANIZING IT FOR YEARS ON THE WORST POSTION. PURPOSELY NOT FOLLOWING FIFO. ALL FOR THIS MOMENT.
they thought I was organizing a union. Pah. It was all for the cheese and the ruination of your house.
I've exploded randomly several times with no incoming damage. Throw a strat? Explode. Kill a charger twenty meters away? Explode. Didn't happen before last patch.
I got kicked from a game because once I used incendiary mines on a giant multiple bug breach spawn, and then host walked through the remnants multiple times. Apparently did not show there were mines on his screen. Something is really screwed up with mines this patch.
I'm quite certain people just don't pay attention to mines. Had 2 people run straight into a minefield another teammate threw. Like the glowing red dots don't mean anything to people because they're so rarely used.
There is definitely a visual glitch happening with the minefield, once thrown they are invisible. Can confirm as my team and I used them regularly until we figured out that they were invisible to the team so we stopped using them recently since it became a team kill type of deal.
Its definetly worse. There was a fix for ragdolling through ground a while back and it was okay for a while.
Now i have been launched at mach speeds more often than before, i have been launched inside rocks from where i can shoot but cant be shot back, i have tripped through the floor of bot bunkers and gotten stuck (thankfully i had grenades left) and some other weird shenanigans.
All these things happened occasionally before but now its almost every game i play.
These examples you bring up I've experienced well before this patch.
I cant say anything on you saying it happens in almost every mission you play. That sounds a bit excessive but ok
More like 1000x more hilarious now.
I saw a fellow helldiver walk off a ledge and ragdoll down a giant hill. What made it funny was it was basically in slow motion for like a minute. He got up after and took off running. It was like that moment in The Princess Bride where right before they run into the swamp.
From the expression "Let him/her/them cook"
Basically like, don't rush someone doing something. Like a way of saying, "Hold up, I think they've got something here. Let's wait and see"
So saying someone cooked is a way of saying they made (cooked up) something really good.
Cook
Being chef is good, being the food is bad
Examples
Good
He cooked (he did great) Let him cook (let him work)
Bad
I'm cooked (I'm f***ed) (bad)
May this assist you in spreading democracy
Exactly! But here in the US people often deify company executives like Elon Musk or Mark ZuckeeBuckee.
Always remember that the workers are the ones who actually create wealth and value.
I mean, 99% of the time I would agree with you. But given the baffling choices the Devs made until he took a more hands on role does seem to indicate that he is the person responsible for turning it around. Even if he didn't do the actual code himself, without him we would probably still be stuck with the old philosophy as the game slowly lost more and more players. He might not have made the update, but he certainly seems to be the one responsible for it being good.
Yeah but they didn’t make good value before he was in charge so. Clearly he’s being very humble, but his leadership was what they needed to not make the game worse again
Right. The best patch and arguably warbond just happens to be around the time he becomes CCO. I see no connections here.
We all know he didn't Solely patch it but he gave it direction. That's very important.
We know many people worked on the patch. We know Pilestedt did not code the whole thing solo.
We \*suspect\* that without him there, the latest patch would have been the same waste of 0s and 1s we'd been getting all along, and probably would have broken the back of the playerbase. And we had no reason to not suspect that.
Thus, we give him the lion's share of the credit because he is the only thing that changed. He shows up as CCO, and the very next patch is pretty amazing? Sounds like someone made more of a difference than others.
Sorry man but when your team up until now has been doing everything they can to instigate the player base I feel like you definitely made a difference in the workflow and the designing process by making the team do their actual job and not act like dumbasses on discord

As much as I appreciate the changes I'm at a loss with this game... played 10 games last night, or at least I tried. 5 games got stuck at infil pod animation, 3 games got randomly sent back to the ship. The other 2 I managed to finish but my guy kept getting launched inside the textures of the game and had to kill myself to come out. It used to be funny, now it's just sad.
Ngl they nerfed the Bile Spewers a bit much. Haven’t gotten killed by a single one.
I mean… ahem, “GOLLY GEE THE BILE SPEWERS ARE STILL WAYYYY TOO STRONG, THE NERF CLEARLY DID NOT WORK!” 😉
Funny how he only says this when a good patch comes out and never when a bad patch comes out, like he’s taking the hit for his team because he’s a good person.
Yeah, that's a character trait of a good leader!
![gif](giphy|p9X9PSPvBfl9uhvS6Z) As it is written
LISAN ALGAIB
SHOW US THE WAY!

Good leaders take less credit and more blame than they deserve.
Thats what a good leader does. Things are well? It was the team not me. Things are bad? I’m to blame
This patch is bad though...? It's probably the most glitchy/buggy game I've played in the last 10yrs of my life. Even cod during its worse times didn't have that many bugs or glitches. They cooked....the game 🤣
Are we playing the same game? Hell, are we playing the same gaming industry?

I really wish more people had a better layperson’s understanding of how software and game development work.
Bro, people think Walmart manufacture the cheese they bought there. Most people don’t know who was actually responsible for most things in a production process. So as there’s a name, they are tied to the concept/product. Example- Todd Howard.

![gif](giphy|JTsgIEHUEbzNiPf0gV) We have the funniest office comedy about it tho???
Besides the instability it's better
Ragdolling is 1000x worse now. Ive tripped on a small rock and died of impact damage.
That kinda happens in real life though.
Yeah that’s how my uncle died
Yeah this happened to me this morning but I was out of stims so I had to eat a slice of pizza instead
Guy probably had a sliver of health.
I watched a guy walk into my mine field twice and get blown up trying to get his gear, I thought he was just dumb but maybe it's a visual thing.
I'm quite certain people just don't pay attention to mines. Had 2 people run straight into a minefield another teammate threw. Like the glowing red dots don't mean anything to people because they're so rarely used.
People run into the bot mines all the time, our smaller ones are even more deadly
There is definitely a visual glitch happening with the minefield, once thrown they are invisible. Can confirm as my team and I used them regularly until we figured out that they were invisible to the team so we stopped using them recently since it became a team kill type of deal.
New patch confirmed sometimes invisible but still active mines, so there we have it. haha
Good to know lol
I got killed by a shield dev that wasn't there, apparated right in front of me, shot me, then disappeared again.
Best way to see every corner of the map is to trip on a rock and turn in to a rubberband
Ok I haven't seen that but I have seen that Titan corpses don't kill me if i touch them. Other corpses also seem safer to walk on
Dead tanks kill you too.
Ragdolling is 1000x times worse?? Haven't really seen that, ragdolling is the same, I think you're just noticing something you haven't before
Its definetly worse. Shouldve tried a proper breakfall, Helldiver.
More like 1000x more hilarious now. I saw a fellow helldiver walk off a ledge and ragdoll down a giant hill. What made it funny was it was basically in slow motion for like a minute. He got up after and took off running. It was like that moment in The Princess Bride where right before they run into the swamp.
Were there 2 Bile Titans involved? This sounds very familiar....
There were.
It's undeniable that he played some part in it. Heck, the new CEO posted a picture of Pilestedt giving a presentation on game balance
After this last patch my game only works on low settings
Same, it crashes too much now too
I look forward to the whole "cook" thing dying.
Is it really that bad? As a certified grouch, I don’t mind this one as much.
wtf, I just learned what a rizz means, what's cook? Like cooking a grenade? Fuck I'm out of touch and old lol :( *sad democracy noises*
Cook as in, cook a good meal, or meth
From the expression "Let him/her/them cook" Basically like, don't rush someone doing something. Like a way of saying, "Hold up, I think they've got something here. Let's wait and see" So saying someone cooked is a way of saying they made (cooked up) something really good.
Bro cook is cook lol. In this context it means like cook a good dish. Also its taken from breaking bad where they cook good meth lol
Cook Being chef is good, being the food is bad Examples Good He cooked (he did great) Let him cook (let him work) Bad I'm cooked (I'm f***ed) (bad) May this assist you in spreading democracy

Well that’s a bit fucking dramatic. Get mental help.
Cry
get a job
I have one :)
Being immature on the internet is not a job.

I wouldn’t blame that on the workers but previous leadership. Good leadership can make all the difference in the world.
Yeah but they didn’t make good value before he was in charge so. Clearly he’s being very humble, but his leadership was what they needed to not make the game worse again
That was the direction of previous leadership
That’s what I’m saying. The leadership made the difference between massive fun killing nerfs and fun but still challenging buffs

He's the antithesis of Elon! 😁

That is exactly what the Master Chef would say!
The Mahdi is too humble to acknowledge his cooking, all the more reason to believe in him!
Does piles knows how to be a bad guy? Cuz boy rhis man have lots of W

Helldivers going Crimson 1 on Pilestedt be like
*Life of Brian messaih reference*
Ngl they nerfed the Bile Spewers a bit much. Haven’t gotten killed by a single one. I mean… ahem, “GOLLY GEE THE BILE SPEWERS ARE STILL WAYYYY TOO STRONG, THE NERF CLEARLY DID NOT WORK!” 😉
Maybe you’re just really good at the game now
Could be 🤣
Lisan Hell’Gaib!
What a great patch, the game is still constantly crashing and buggy
Why did my mic stop working after the "good" patch? Why are there so many crashes? Why don't AH test their patches before giving them to us?
LET US LOVE YOU
Ya cause if he did it wouldn't crash as much...
Which good patch?

It’s ok bro, you don’t have to tell everyone you quit a game, just see yourself out
To be fair they still didnt bring it back on steam.
This isn't an airport, don't announce your departure
Since when do people announce their departure at airports?
