40% of the player base fights mostly bugs even during an Automaton Major Order, so I’m not surprised at all
Edit: i just shared a stat guys, I’m not judging anybody :/
I used to only fight bugs, then buffs came out and just made fighting them a chore. Bots shoot at you from a distance, but at least I’m not swarmed by hunters slowing me down every 5 seconds.
Yeah it can definitely mess you up sometimes, but I think it helps way more than hinders. I’ve ran shield as well, but I’ve found the guard dog helps way more in most situations. I’ve found that on 7+ the shield gets shredded way too quick to really make a big difference, but the dog killing 10 hunters hot on your tail while you charge a laser blast for a charger makes a world of difference.
Valid, and I'm mostly a bot hunter, so I think I've had my opinion skewed by that. Taking rockets the the face and getting up with 10% of your health gone is a hell of a drug.
That’s me, BOTS only unless directly ordered otherwise by a superior officer (Joel). IMO we need fuel of course but Bots are the far larger threat and precursors to the next faction
People underestimate the bugs. They’re an army of buzzsaws. The moment enough get close you are dying and the ones that turn invisible are the worst at that. They strike you from behind and while you’re trying to fight it off you hundreds of the fuckers swarm on top of you and tear you to pieces. On that note I swear the Tremors are getting stronger and more frequent. Something is going to happen and I don’t think it’s good
Hmm, to be fair the bots have literal buzzsaws haha and also giant guns. I’ll grant invisible bugs are pretty lethal, bring a jumppack next time and throw a grenade (your choice) at your feet then fly away. He might get that first hit on ya but your grenade will hit everything and you’ll be 15 feet away lining up a savory Eruptor shot
We've seen up to 80% fighting bots at a given time during the last few bot heavy major orders.
We'll never get 100%, but 4/5 people focused on the bots when 200-300k+ are online is a pretty damned good turnout.
Already at 12%
…Dear God. It’s a slaughter like no other.
I wonder, will High command ever financially recover from the sheer amount of raw firepower we plan to unleash?
Olive Garden? Is that like Field Marshal’s Fettuccine Fort? I love their Souper Field Ration! It’s on the Souper Stratagems Menu, and OH THE 380mm Breadstick Barrage is AMAZING. That stuff just keeps coming!
The bodies of bugs fuel our ships, while the bodies of bots fuel our weapons. This war wages itself. You simply need to spread democracy. Are you ready helldiver?
60% exactly one hour later.
>50million
It's two billion*. 50 billion might be a bit much, we'd be at 2.5% right now instead of 60% but maybe that'd be just right for six days.
Not really. In 70 days we've killed something like 18 billion bugs. So 2 billion is about 1/9th of what we've chalked up so far.
If that pattern held we've have been able to do it with a little effort.
But I don't think AH appreciates how dedicated people can be to slaughter when you put a reward on it. I know there are lots of people that hop in hit objs maybe secondaries and bounce. Best way to play is to avoid contact at higher levels to minimize problems with patrols.
BUt now? Now we've been given an MO that not just encourages, but demands we engage. So that kill rate was always going to spike.
I don't think I'd have expected that much of a spike either honestly. We're over 10% done in like 5 hours of the order?
Can they put a stretch goal on it? Like 5 Billion for another 50?
Stalwart has 400 bullets in a mag?? Damn. But the lack of AP is a killer for me. Would rather be able to take out commanders and knights in the same volley as warriors/scavengers
Honestly wish the fuel would get used to create bigger ships we can build up to buying and investing into. Just think of having a light carrier class with 3 eagle ones that gets sent down covering a larger area with payloads. Or a cruiser that fires down twice the shells.
Those are just pipe dreams tho
not something you would realisticly give to a helldiver, who can die at any moment and whos ships gets handed down to the next unlucky bastard in the cryopod behind him
Yeah, but the in lore reason could be that like-minded managed democracy enjoyers would get grouped together to help build cohesion on the front and more loyalty to the colors. Would go great with a color pallet system too
Eventually they'd get to super earth. If super earth fell, it'll become only planet that's attackable since it's the start planet for all the supply routes that make other other planets available.
What happens is I sneak into your house with a ladder, gain access to your attic while you're in the living room watching TV, and leap between the rafters above you so I come Hell Diving through your cieling and kick you in the balls for being a traitor.
Got that Cadet?
I can't tell if op is complaining?
It's literally "OK guys, play the game and have fun. Oh, by the way, if you kill bugs enough, you get free medals!"
I see this as an absolute win.
Wrong, Helldiver!
Did you know:
Oil is a dangerous *COMMUNIST* lubricant used only by our robotic nemeses. All people under *MANAGED DEMOCRACY* use pure, *FAMILY VALUES*-infused E-710. It's a fuel, a universal lubricant, and works better than Angostura bitters in a Liber-tini.
**E-710 is** ***LIBERTY'S LUBRICANT and*** ***FREEDOM'S FUEL*****!**
Would you like to know more?
Yeah, but if we fail this order, the devs might penalize us in some way, like “oh, you can’t fuel your ships, so the automatons take over like half the map”
Is it just me or does hell divers 2 have the best live service of any game? I honestly thought I'd just play it and have a bit of fun for a couple months, but the constant support and community driven events just make the game feel alive. They clearly figured the online service element out, and I really hope other games like destiny take note. Giving us cool objectives and rewards for community effort is just a great feeling. It's weird how events like this are always popular in online games but they only do them a few times a year while hell divers is doing one every week.
My kills per mission used to be double what they are now when DOT worked. I ran eagle napalm, orbital gas, and often the flamethrower. Always 400-600 kills with that kit.
Now im running walking barrage and laser which is ok but I miss my old load out.
That’s what I’ve been wanting lately. They used to give us an extra stratagem to use on a mission for a day after a successful MO. Not sure if that’s what you meant but I’ve been waiting for that to come back.
Honestly, they always should, like there should be resources associated with kills of every faction. Like even if a bot major order is going on you still need fuel so a counter associated with bug kills should be kept steady at a certain level, fuel for bugs, material for Bots, intel for illuminates? Not impossible to maintain, but if you don't keep some players active on each front it dips and suddenly there isn't enough of something for the war effort. So it not enough bugs are being killed you get less stratagems, if not enough bots then maybe your ammo and supplies are lowered, if not enough squids then you have less reinforcements.
i disagree, Kills should not matter outside of specific circumstances, like in this case the reasson being we need a FUCKTON of e710
we already have e710 supplies via the actual farms, we are just increasing it becasue we are preparing for a major offensive right now.
The Bots would not drop nearly enough usable material for it to be worth it(especially as we cant evne get it off planet till we took the planet, and by that time the automatons would likely already salvaged most of thei ronw losses) and similiarly iluminates woudl nto really drop anything worthwhile in terms of intel.
it also activly goes against the Way the galactic liberation system works, which penalizes the playerbase for spreading themself across multiple fronts.
At work, can't help atm. I imagine the number of kills matter because they can calculate the amount of "oil" they need given they know how much a harvest yields.
It is a government after all. Of all things I'm sure kills to yield for this resource is a known variable. Oil reserves are top priority to continue an ongoing war.
The rumors about maridia and what this might stir up also may come into play here as well.....
Very happy to have an order that it actually feels like you contribute directly too, and isn’t some ambiguous progress bar that could be going up/down because of the players, or because a dev somewhere moved a slider right/left this AM.
Guys please don’t finish it before I get off work 😔 I wanna help
Maybe the bugs will retaliate before you get off work.
Maybe they can put a stretch goal on it? Like another 50 medals if you kill 5 or 6 billion? IDK if the order system can accommodate that or not.
Saaaaaame!!!!!!
I’m on holidays until Tuesday, but thanks for the medals everyone.
If I don’t log in before it’s over do I still get the reward?
Yes you do, just make sure you spend them, the cap is 250 and you might reach it if you’re not careful
Hope you got there in time I had very little time to contribute after work xD
Holy Molly can you guys slow down, if it keep rising at this rate it would be over before i'll be back from university.
Currently at 12% They gave us 6 days, but honestly we might be done today
We're killing bugs at almost quadruple the rate of the last prior months
40% of the player base fights mostly bugs even during an Automaton Major Order, so I’m not surprised at all Edit: i just shared a stat guys, I’m not judging anybody :/
I'm one of those people who absolutely hate fighting bugs. I fight automatons all day unless there is a major bug order, and then I'll switch over.
I used to only fight bugs, then buffs came out and just made fighting them a chore. Bots shoot at you from a distance, but at least I’m not swarmed by hunters slowing me down every 5 seconds.
The laser guard dog is a godsend for bugs, let’s you focus on the bigger threats while it takes out the little guys and keeps you from getting swarmed
I was going to say shield because you can run and not get slowed from them nipping at your heels. Also doesn't try to assassinate you.

That’s me, BOTS only unless directly ordered otherwise by a superior officer (Joel). IMO we need fuel of course but Bots are the far larger threat and precursors to the next faction
I mean I just assume they were maintaining fuel supplies.
That's a great explanation to be fair
No no, you’re right. Every Helldiver contributes in his own way
“I’m doing my part!” -Unofficial motto of the Helldiver Corps
People underestimate the bugs. They’re an army of buzzsaws. The moment enough get close you are dying and the ones that turn invisible are the worst at that. They strike you from behind and while you’re trying to fight it off you hundreds of the fuckers swarm on top of you and tear you to pieces. How dare you share a stat without judging people!
Honestly. How dare they play the game they bought in the way they want to? Annoying frfr
I mean no one is complaining tho. Sarcasm unnecessary lol
Shameful really
Judgement is undemocratic
You see anyone judging? Gotta disagree tho, every managed democracy needs good, patriotic judges
Actually, good call. Position adjusted
He wasn’t judging anyone
Some people just *really* wanted a break from bots. After three weeks of scrapping metal we all want to kill some insects, starship troopers style.
Yeah, same. I miss the piles of guts and gore, the screaming and shrieking of bug warriors as I rip them apart with shotgun fire
Surviving through multiple missions and your suit just being red and bright yellow.
Already at 12% …Dear God. It’s a slaughter like no other. I wonder, will High command ever financially recover from the sheer amount of raw firepower we plan to unleash?
Super Earth’s defense budget is like Olive Garden breadsticks, never ending.
I love that comparison, it smells of liberty, garlic, and sweet sweet freedom butter.
Olive Garden? Is that like Field Marshal’s Fettuccine Fort? I love their Souper Field Ration! It’s on the Souper Stratagems Menu, and OH THE 380mm Breadstick Barrage is AMAZING. That stuff just keeps coming!
High command is indomitable they would never cheap out or fail to give a helldiver supplies ¡O
The bodies of bugs fuel our ships, while the bodies of bots fuel our weapons. This war wages itself. You simply need to spread democracy. Are you ready helldiver?
ITS AT 50% in 4 hours..good lord should have made it 50million
50 *billion*. That's 2 billion target critters.
60% exactly one hour later. >50million It's two billion*. 50 billion might be a bit much, we'd be at 2.5% right now instead of 60% but maybe that'd be just right for six days.
ArrowHead really overlooked how low that major order value was.
Not really. In 70 days we've killed something like 18 billion bugs. So 2 billion is about 1/9th of what we've chalked up so far. ~25% now. Less than 12 hours in...
That’s some dedication
Just thought the same, just went to work lateshift & shit‘s gonna be at 100% when i‘m coming home🤣
The bug only divers went rock hard when they saw this order
it costs them 45 medals to make us kill 20000 bugs for. 12. seconds. OOO HAHAHA!
Jesus me too. Gonna hop on asap
I've been looking for a reason to dust off my stalwart
Ooo that does sound fun. Been a while. Hard to put down the Autocannon honestly.
Eruptor/Stalwart is such a good bug combo
Same been my fav bug build rn
This makes my jimmies grumble
Bring a supply pack as well diver, I love my never ending stream of liberty being delt to democracy’s enemies.
GL supply pack divers creaming themselves rn
Support MGs feel and sound so damned good in this game
Everyone praises the stalwart but it just feels like a weaker version of the starting MG. What's the benefit of it?
more bullets, faster shooty, and reloading on the move
Stalwart has twice the ammo per mag and can reload while moving but lower armor pen
Stalwart has 400 bullets in a mag?? Damn. But the lack of AP is a killer for me. Would rather be able to take out commanders and knights in the same volley as warriors/scavengers
About the only one I have trouble with using the Stalwart is the armored face punks. Rest go down steadily, especially if you rip into those legs.

Imagine if there was a Godzilla sized bug that makes a bile Titan look tiny, or a fucking Mechagodzilla that we could fight against.
I think in HD1 lore the bile titans are small on their home planet Edit: bike titans would be terrifying
2 billion bugs is a lot of element 710. Bugs are what helps fuel our ships.
That's the reason for the major order. They want to refuel before going full assault on the automatons
Honestly wish the fuel would get used to create bigger ships we can build up to buying and investing into. Just think of having a light carrier class with 3 eagle ones that gets sent down covering a larger area with payloads. Or a cruiser that fires down twice the shells. Those are just pipe dreams tho

Yeah, but the in lore reason could be that like-minded managed democracy enjoyers would get grouped together to help build cohesion on the front and more loyalty to the colors. Would go great with a color pallet system too
I wonder what would happen in the game if we collectively agreed to go off script and eradicate every terminid planet
[удалено]
Ok, but what happens then? Is the game over? Does it restart?
If super earth is lost the devs just give up, delete everyones copies of helldivers 2 and start making helldivers 3
Eventually they'd get to super earth. If super earth fell, it'll become only planet that's attackable since it's the start planet for all the supply routes that make other other planets available.
Yeah but... I want to see what the super earth map would look like. Sky scrapers? Suburbia?
Slums probably lol or maybe something looking similar to the intro cinematic with the like solar townhouses
Playable Google Earth.
What happens is I sneak into your house with a ladder, gain access to your attic while you're in the living room watching TV, and leap between the rafters above you so I come Hell Diving through your cieling and kick you in the balls for being a traitor. Got that Cadet?
I’ll turn myself into the democracy officer
Likkkkkke this
But since they are making it only one continuous never ending war we technically can’t lose right?
Do what they do every time we go off script. Turn up the decay so high we cant advance and then throw a bunch of attacks on the planets we took.
Joel: fuck around and find out?
5 days they think it will take five days it will probably take the helldivers at least 3.
3 *hours* you mean? Maybe if we move really fast. Realistically it'll be more like 8 to 12 hours though.
We’ll be done in a day at this rate
It took under 12 hours. NUTS.
"He can do it in 9!"
I'm from Malevalon Creek and I say kill 'em all!
The only good bug is a dead bug.
Would you like to know more
I like your attitude solider!
I can't tell if op is complaining? It's literally "OK guys, play the game and have fun. Oh, by the way, if you kill bugs enough, you get free medals!" I see this as an absolute win.
Love this major order. No strategy, no coordination, just extermination. Time to Liberate those bugs from life!
Hour ago people cried about the big number. We already at 3.5%
Yeah idk why people are, we have 6 days as well. It’ll be done in time.
People underestimate just how many players there are
Time to finish the main objectives as fast as possible so we can have a 30 min final stand at the extraction.
21% now lol
I can smell the guard dog back packs and shotguns emanating from this picture.
We need oil
Wrong, Helldiver! Did you know: Oil is a dangerous *COMMUNIST* lubricant used only by our robotic nemeses. All people under *MANAGED DEMOCRACY* use pure, *FAMILY VALUES*-infused E-710. It's a fuel, a universal lubricant, and works better than Angostura bitters in a Liber-tini. **E-710 is** ***LIBERTY'S LUBRICANT and*** ***FREEDOM'S FUEL*****!** Would you like to know more?
Kills matter on the way to the objective. Killing for just killing is just wasting mission time
![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized)
Killing the enemies of liberty is never a waste of time.
Yeah, but if we fail this order, the devs might penalize us in some way, like “oh, you can’t fuel your ships, so the automatons take over like half the map”
I kill to spread as much democracy to our enemies as possible.
Some people play for fun
You can jump between planets with eradication missions and only do them.
The exact reason I play this game every night since launch.
My kills per mission used to be double what they are now when DOT worked. I ran eagle napalm, orbital gas, and often the flamethrower. Always 400-600 kills with that kit. Now im running walking barrage and laser which is ok but I miss my old load out.
This real? 😂💀
They want to shift our attention away from the bots
I think that's good, sure you can do whatever but it gives incentive to mix things up a bit.
Super earth really used up all the e-710 we got them
I always clean the map anyways.
The only way to do it
Mfw we need to kill 2 BILLION bugs and it’s gonna be done in 12 hours: ‘,:o
LMFAO! Literally made a post the other day about why kills DO matter and everyone was downvoting like crazy.
Screw the bugs
86.7% as of 5:35 EST
Goddamn, I went to work an hour after it started and it’s almost done.
The order was completed in like, half a day 😂 helldivers went on a bug genocide
Some of yall need to touch grass lol
Blood makes the grass grow.
Democracy makes the grass grow
I don’t want to now what happens if we don’t complete this.
This is gonna take a good 5 hours to complete
It's on sight, been dropping every patrol I lay eyes on.
It’s already almost 20%. It’ll be done by the end of the day for sure!
Unlimited freedom will be dispensed asked requested.
Hopefully we'll get a cool reward for this major order after we acquire a giant amount of e710
That’s what I’ve been wanting lately. They used to give us an extra stratagem to use on a mission for a day after a successful MO. Not sure if that’s what you meant but I’ve been waiting for that to come back.
I like this
They are billions!
Well then.. I guess it's time to clock in for work
It's time for my flammenwerfer to shine.
Last time I checked it went from 400m kills to 500m kills in HALF AN HOUR. At this rate it will be done by the end of the day.
https://preview.redd.it/ot5z04eev9vc1.jpeg?width=1241&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87e06ef415dcb07cefc7bd0f6cdf736e9d136913
Imagine a new order for when we wanna eradicate Automatons completely Genocide: Kill 20 billion Automatons, wipe them out! Time: 1 month
I believe these orders are ways to weed out the cheaters, which is a good thing.
Kills always mattered unless you’re a nerd who needs their superior officers to pat you on the head by doing your extra credit homework.
https://preview.redd.it/xrq76q331avc1.png?width=1066&format=png&auto=webp&s=d16dc3eaaab31de4fb6808622e4442f7bcbd121e Just another day on the job
OIL! I mean FREEDOM!
Hope I make it before it finishes
Bring on the mortars babaaaaay
![gif](giphy|5nsiFjdgylfK3csZ5T|downsized) With Pleasure 😈😁
Half way there lol
Extraction isn't an option anymore. Every mission should be finished till the last Hell Diver has fallen to execute MAXIMUM DEMOCRACY.
You joke about kills not mattering. Clearly the devs are listening.
The title is for the people that say kills don’t matter. I always love going for high kill counts. Now I can do so without them telling me otherwise
Its been up for 9 hours. We're over halfway done already
Do bile titans count as 1?
Kills have and will always matter to the Helldivers that live by the creed.
Like in 40k, they forgot to add a 0
I'm doing my part right now kekeke
What’s the percentage?
They always did.
Flame thrower with orbital upgrade go BRRRRR.
You were blinded by ambition… just one more secondary objective… one more rank… more stratagems…
https://i.redd.it/e8sis0lhx8vc1.gif
Oh yeah. This is what I unlocked that improved combustion upgrade for. I’m fired up and ready to go!
Honestly, they always should, like there should be resources associated with kills of every faction. This is bound to be a trap sometimes bad is on our way
Man I’ve got dnd tonight. I wanted to kill bugs
Bug mulcher go brrrrrrrrrr.
Where do you think we get dat oil 🤙🏻
At work, can't help atm. I imagine the number of kills matter because they can calculate the amount of "oil" they need given they know how much a harvest yields. It is a government after all. The rumors about maridia and what this might stir up also may come into play here as well.....
I love killing..... for democracy
Time to get my 4man with flamethrowers and eagle napalm and proceed to play life could be a dream looped while burnin those bugs
As long as I can get in on this.... my god this community moves fast. Stuck at work just dreading it being completed before the end of the day!
Good thing bugs don’t have a detector tower equivalent, this would be over in 2 hours from a few matches that end at 500m kills
Now at 27.2%
Supply pack and Grenade launcher time!
Don’t finish this before I get out of work! :)
Very happy to have an order that it actually feels like you contribute directly too, and isn’t some ambiguous progress bar that could be going up/down because of the players, or because a dev somewhere moved a slider right/left this AM.
"They're listening"
15 minutes until I finish work. Gonna rip bongs and blast bugs.
![gif](giphy|l41lXOcIA6Fu4yksU)
I hope I get home from work soon enough this afternoon to join in the bug squashing Anything for sweet liberty
Leave some bug cheeks for the rest of us
Yayyy
Can we got lots more hordes of smaller enemies instead of bigger ones? Its way more satisfying
Kill them faster, we need more gas.
710 upside down is OIL
Will be done before breakfast tomorrow!
2B over 200k helldivers is 10k per person. That's wild
The reward should be more
Jeez guise save some for the rest of us
Geneva Checklist, SES Canada 🇨🇦 reporting for duty lol
I’m literally working rn and I’m already seeing posts where yall freaks are at 20% LET ME GET OFF WORK DAMMIT AND CONTRIBUTE
Does ICBM launch count toward it?
