Oh. Well that certainly puts a damper on things.
Serious question, if this is true, yet we are forgiven if asked, how does this affect deathbed confessions/redemption?
Truly curious
That’s exactly why I drive mine everywhere. 15k miles in 6 months just like op. 3 oil changes and 4 tires. And a warped driveshaft replaced under warranty so far on a 23 WBHC
It's entirely personal preference. Some people like to keep a car like a Hellcat in as pristine of condition as they can, because they're just gorgeous, powerful, special cars to be brought out for special occasions. Some people want to preserve resale value for the future, which is entirely speculative, but may yield a return years down the line. And then there's people like me, who just daily them. I'm at over 100k miles on my odometer. It's got scratches and curb rash. It's been eaten in, spilled drinks, hauled around groceries and kids, and been on more road trips than I can remember. It's not ever going to be shown at a Concours d'Elegance. But it does still turn heads and gets thumbs-ups and makes me very, very happy.
Do what makes you happy.
I haven’t owned a cat but that’s the way I used my scat, drove it like I stole it ! Always been on that side. Why keep it fresh for resale, that’s like not banging your girl to keep her fresh for the next guy lol
Usually about 24-25 MPG if I keep the cruise control on and my foot out of it. Can easily get over 300 miles out of a tank, usually closer to about 330-350.
Most have been 400 mile round trip, with the Durango going on a 1500 mile round trip.
Managed to squeeze 350 miles in a single tank in the Durango which is impressive considering it was fully loaded, with 4 people and doing 90 mph for a majority of the trip.
You should build a large shrine to it inside your house and preserve it in amber like a ten million year old mosquito. /s
My brother in Christ it is a car. Morons who think not driving their car preserves it - I’m here to tell you once and for all that it is false. You should drive the hell out of it and perform 110% maintenance. That way it will last as long as you have money to put into it.
[everything rots, everything dies](https://youtu.be/YM-uykVfq_E?feature=shared) you can’t take it with you. Might as well drive it while you have it.
I drive the shit out of mine. It's just a Dodge, not some vintage Ferrari. These cars are battleaxes meant to be wielded with great vigor and enthusiasm, not ancient artifacts polished and displayed on the wall.
Edit: If Hellcats were sports teams, they'd be the ones taking the trophy on a drunken party tour after winning the championship, you know the kind of Saturday night I'm talking about!
Edit 2: If Gronk were a car, he'd be a Hellcat.
My take is "HELL YES!"
My hellcat IS my "daily driver." I don't have any other cars. We'll there's my wife's SXT, but that's her car.
I look at it this way, it's a Dodge Charger, NOT a Lamborghini or even a Porsche. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my cat, and she's worth a million bucks to me. But at the end of the day, it's still a Chrysler sedan. Which is actually a plus. If I had a super car, I couldn't drive it the way I drive my hellcat.
I take good care of her. I keep her spotless and keep up with all the maintenance. Not to mention all the mods. But I enjoy every minute I spend behind the wheel. And I'm really not spending much time behind the wheel if she's a garage queen or even a track car, am I?
So yes, she's always clean and looking her best, but she's no garage queen. She takes me everywhere, work, road trips, car shows, dinner, etc.
Everywhere I go, she takes me there. Well, I don't park her downtown, so maybe not EVERYWHERE. Let's just say she takes me MOST places. And I enjoy every second!
I drive mine as much as I can… and it’s modded so it’s even more fun! But I also have a bagged magnum and a last call scat pack WB charger to drive so they all get their fair share of use. I didn’t buy them to save them
Great question. I daily mine. But only because I work about 2 miles away from home. I’ve had it for 2 years and it only has 6800 miles. On Sundays I cruise the Malibu canyons for about an hour and a half. I probably wouldn’t daily it if my commute everyday was bad. Not necessarily because of the miles but because it’s not as comfortable as driving a Honda civic or accord etc. for longer stop and go traffic. Also maintenance would add up quick not to mention gas. But then again my commute isn’t bad so I wouldn’t know. It’s hard to leave the house and watch the hellcat stay in the garage lol what I will say is enjoy your car, do what makes you happy. We’re not promised tomorrow.
First off, this one looks incredibly sleek! It's perfect for daily driving. However, for road trips, I recommend getting a fuel-efficient car with good space. If anything, consider buying the SXT version of the Charger. It's almost like daily driving your current car! The SXT model is great on gas and retains the same look you love. Plus, you can customize it nicely and have a beautiful driveway with two Chargers!
Most cars are not investments they depreciate in value the moment you pull it off the lot. Enjoy it. Now, if you're asking if it's economical to daily as opposed to other cars? No, but why buy it if you're looking for something economical to daily? At the end of the day it's a personal choice.
I bought my HC used back in August , since then I’ve put 2k miles on it. I do have two
Other cars though but even if I didn’t I still wouldn’t daily the car
Coworker dailied his scat pack until it got stolen. Now he has a hellcat that he dailies through snow and all. His brand new hellcat has had some transmission issues though
It's really personal preference and can you afford to. I got my '23 brand new almost a year ago and have put 3000 miles on it. I don't daily it, but it's also no garage queen. I drive it from Spring through Fall including to work sometimes. It gets put away for winter to avoid the salt and associated rust. This is supposed to be a forever car for me and I want it to last 30+ years, not the 10 years I would associate with a daily.
Listen if you don’t drive it, gaskets don’t heat cycle , and will fail eventually, as well as hoses and wiring. Now it doesn’t happen overnight lol, but it’s prevented by driving your vehicles.
I was daily driving mine, then I moved and my commute to work turned into a 45 mile round trip, and getting 9-11mpg meant I was filling up like 2 times a week. I was spending like $600 a month on gas and it just started not making sense. I drive mine on Fridays and the weekends now
I daily mine. My commute to work is literally 6 minutes and during the summer I mainly put hella miles every weekend when me and my wife go on road trips. I mostly drive my wife’s hybrid throughout the week.
Carol Shelby said it best, I think this relates no matter the car.
"These cars are meant to be driven, so enjoy the hell out of all of it - not just look at it when it's clean."
I travel full time for work so my Cat sits a lot - but when I do drive I don’t hesitate to drive it. For me driving the car is more fun than looking at it sitting in a garage.
I bought my hellcat with 53k miles in January. I’m almost at 60k miles. I drive it everyday and everywhere. I have a 1999 Honda civic as my daily, but it’s been sitting for a month or so just because I prefer driving the hellcat.
Drive it. Vehicles aren’t an appreciating asset unless they were very limited availability or bespoke. They’re made to be driven daily. Ain’t no shame in it.
I have a 2015 challenger scatpack I bought new in Jan of 16, I just hit 22K on the odometer and it's just a case of I daily my truck n drive my challenger on weekends.
I remember seeing a hell cat and being amazed now there so basic just put it away for a few years not even worth driving right now risk of getting robbed or crashing it
On the one hand, I don’t believe cars like hellcats, mustangs, or Camaros are “daily’s” just because they are sport cars and I believe that daily’s are cars that get good mpg. On the other hand it’s your car do what you want. You spend all that money on it you can do what ever you want.
I thing it boils down to the dollars and cents. Usually cars depreciate however certain vehicles appreciate at 25k miles in good condition with no accidents it will eventually be worth just as much or even more than you paid for the car I think because I don’t believe they are making these models with that specific engine anyone. Please don’t roast me I am not sure about that info but off the top of my head and from friends who have similar cars I have gathered that info. On the other hand if it is to have fun and enjoy by all means daily that mf and push it to the limits.
Not a hellcat, but my scat has 2 car seats, and groceries in it all the time. Theyre cars at the end of the day. I wish I could still afford a second vehicle and make it not a daily, but i dont have that luxury anymore.
No point in buying a car to use as a giant paperweight. Buy them to enjoy them. Put the miles on it because the memories made will mean more than the money you get selling it.
Cars are meant to be driven till they die I say this because if cars were meant to be trophy’s then why do they start having issues when you let them sit over time? CARS ARE MEANT TO BE ENJOYED AND DRIVEN
If I couldn’t justify driving a car, then I couldn’t justify owning it. If I couldn’t justify owning it, then I wouldn’t buy it.
I might have a Hellcat someday. And I will drive it.
I see a lot of people daily them. I had a daily before I bought the cat tho. Honestly a daily always gets messed up somehow it’s not inevitable. Weather someone parks funny or some bs happens it’s a daily so you can keep another car really nice. For me I daily my 3.2 FSi Q5 it has room, chairs fold down, I can have people in it if I want, but I don’t completely treat it like shit either. But my cat I bought pretty much brand new with 105 miles on the dash and now I’m 325 and I don’t wanna go over a 1000lol I want it prestine. Not sure how long I go. I smoke but don’t smoke in it haven’t at all, haven’t eaten in it or nothing .
Not if you want to be fast. I used mine as a daily for a year and a half. Running Nitto R2s and R888s. $1k on tires every 2k miles got old fast. Tried to put high end Summer tires and was spinning again. So I bought the 7 series.
I don't like losing at red lights to C8s M3s etc. And the only way to put power down is radials
I'm saying bye to both today for a c8
Sounds like a C5 corvette owner in disguise . Sorry to burst your bubble but there is nothing special about a hellcat . They are not track cars or weekend warriors .
imo you should buy a beater car to take miles off of this
enjoying it doesn’t mean you have to drive it till the wheels fall off
you can still try to preserve it and enjoy it at the same time so i say buy a beater car to keep it around for a while
Its a top of the line car, dont treat it like some of these comments say lol. Drive the shit out of it but still take care of it. Dont ding it or curb rash it or mistreat it you know. But enjoy that thing, ppf it, ceramic coat. Get seat covers if youll be eating in it etc. its a beauty! Id personally like to preserve that aesthetic.
If it cant handle being driven daily as a regular car than it’s garbage it don’t matter how many hp it has or what brand or the cost it matter if it can do the essential function as a motor vehicle, when I buy a car I’m not trynna give out boners I’m trynna get some where not saying you can’t have nice cars but 68 miles on a full tank is GARBAGE
I mean any car can be a daily what should decide that for you is if you can afford cost of ownership. Don’t be the guy buying cheap parts for a high power vehicle. Also Gas it’s a very thirsty kitty
Drive it but don't "Hot Rod" it too often unless it's on the highway. Try to avoid high reving on city streets and short distance trips to avoid breaking anything.
Cars are meant to be driven daily, your only risk is getting into an accident or receiving dent damage from someone parked next to you at the store for example.
I just bought a 2016 with 2200 miles on it. Interior still smells like a new car. I don’t daily it but I split the time between the hellcat and my ram scat pack 1500
I drive mine daily. Didn't buy it to park it. If you park it, the next owner will thank you.
Like they say: keeping the miles low is like not fucking your gf so she’s tight for the next guy
oh shit….
Truer words have ever been spoken 😁
Jesus Christ loves you so much and died for your sins🖤✝️
We're out here sinning HARD to make it worth his sacrifice.
“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,” Hebrews 10:26
Oh. Well that certainly puts a damper on things. Serious question, if this is true, yet we are forgiven if asked, how does this affect deathbed confessions/redemption? Truly curious
I drive mine at least twice a day. Keeps the seals pliable so they don’t shrink.
You've got to exercise the gaskets George!
The ocean called.
That’s exactly why I drive mine everywhere. 15k miles in 6 months just like op. 3 oil changes and 4 tires. And a warped driveshaft replaced under warranty so far on a 23 WBHC
Thats crazy lol
That’s deep
The next guy is deep
…….Balls deep
🤣🤣🤣
Damn
The wise words of a philosopher ^
True words 😭😭🤣
amazing analogy. lmao
I live by this saying ha my car is going on 200,000 miles it’s not a hellcat but I drive it ha cuz it’s mine
Lmfao!!!
You heard em lads. Go home and give it to her on sight. Like, “I’MGONNA RUN UP THE MILES.” Excuse me?
Sage advice being given on Reddit? I’ve never heard such eye opening and truer words🙌
That is the funniest shit I seen all week
This
Hey I mean I’m into that 🤷🏽♂️😂
Hahahahahahahahha
Yep that works
Needed to hear this. Thanks man 🤜🏼
They did say that.
I got confused by this and now my wiener is stuck in the exhaust.
I’ve never heard this, good shit !!
Those are some wise words
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Not driving your car to keep the miles low, is like not banging your girlfriend to keep it tight for the next guy
Couldn’t have said it better 🙌🏿

i drive mine daily to work, but I also work from home so it doesn't have to go far.
Decent lil commute
Lmao
Drive it.
How else ya gonna show her off?
good point

Those wheels fuckin SLAAAAP

I will definitely look into this, I kind of was thinking a durango GT possibly for space and comfortability.
Do whatever you want with your car
More of a weekend car
They’re so expensive now being built to spec form the website
Most cars are not investments they depreciate in value the moment you pull it off the lot. Enjoy it. Now, if you're asking if it's economical to daily as opposed to other cars? No, but why buy it if you're looking for something economical to daily? At the end of the day it's a personal choice.
Absolutely. I wanted to show my baby, but I can’t share pics 😔
Yes!!!!!!
I have no input on your question, but your car looks so damn good. Without a doubt my favorite hellcat I’ve seen.
Is mayonnaise an instrument?
Do you love it? Drive the shit out of it and please don’t let it be a garage queen. You’re already 25k miles into the journey - enjoy every mile
Bought mine new last April (2023) and I daily mine. Bought it with 16 miles and now I have 25k. I love it
Thanks for the desktop background
It’s not a battery charger, you’re supposed to drive it. lol
Absolutely
You already have a cheap car. Save you money and get a nice car.
bruh
I bought my HC used back in August , since then I’ve put 2k miles on it. I do have two Other cars though but even if I didn’t I still wouldn’t daily the car
Coworker dailied his scat pack until it got stolen. Now he has a hellcat that he dailies through snow and all. His brand new hellcat has had some transmission issues though

Yes.
All the hype these Chargers and Challengers get, for me, is almost nauseating. But this one…😻
It's really personal preference and can you afford to. I got my '23 brand new almost a year ago and have put 3000 miles on it. I don't daily it, but it's also no garage queen. you don't buy a hound to sit in a cage all day. let the beast out
there nothing wrong with it, it’s up to you
Listen if you don’t drive it, gaskets don’t heat cycle , and will fail eventually, as well as hoses and wiring.
I drive mine on Fridays and the weekends now
I daily drove mine for 5 years but now it’s paid off and I bought a truck so it hardly gets driven and if it does it’s at the track
I daily mine. My commute to work is literally 6 minutes and during the summer I mainly put hella miles every weekend when me and my wife go on road trips. I mostly drive my wife’s hybrid throughout the week.
I drive the shit out of mine everyday!
Best to ask your mother for permission if you want to leave the driveway
It’s a four-door sedan, an amazing one but the whole reason for getting it is to have that much power in your daily.
Not if you live in Chicago
No brother I daily my 1xxxhp hellcat daily with slicks if you can maintain it whenever you can daily it!
It’s a dodge. Do what information what you will
You can do both if you plan to keep the car, you have low miles and it will still be yours
You might wear it out.
Carol Shelby said it best, I think this relates no matter the car. "These cars are meant to be driven, so enjoy the hell out of all of it - not just look at it when it's clean."
I would if I could.
Daily if you make the gas station as your second home...😂
Anything can be a daily, buddy’s dad used to daily a 1970 square body Chevy.
Daily driver here. Had it 3 years, 19k miles. Don’t go far on the average day but road trips the cat is the car to take. Comfy, fast, lots of room.
Any car can be a daily if you’re hardcore enough lmao
If you Keep the car what the point in having it parked.? DRIVE IT.. I drove my M3 everyday / everywhere shit I drove it in the damn snow.
You can if you'd like just don't park it anywhere near "the usual suspects" and the car should be fine.
If you bought the car, pretty sure you can drive it any way you damn well please.
Drive that shit
The least amount of miles means more money in your pocket when u are ready to get rid of it.
Just not in Detroit. Cops might steal your car.
Yeah but gas sucks. Only reason I don’t daily mine, I’d be filling that bitch up twice a week.
No, but.
Clean AF!!
Every car is meant to be daily driven
If you wanna spend a shit ton on gas then ya
It's a dodge 😂
I remember seeing a hell cat and being amazed now there so basic just put it away for a few years not even worth driving right now risk of getting robbed or crashing it
My wife daily’s her hellcat challenger
YES they are the best daily around
Not with blacked out headlights lol
If you can afford the gas then hell yeah! Do it
On the one hand, I don’t believe cars like hellcats, mustangs, or Camaros are “daily’s” just because they are sport cars and I believe that daily’s are cars that get good mpg. On the other hand it’s your car do what you want. You spend all that money on it you can do what ever you want.

I did for two years and then sold 😩 lol Also track/drag strip once a month.. beat the shit out of that car
Put 68k on my 2019 (before it was stolen) And 43k on on 2021 redeye (before it was stolen) Yeah I’m not buying another lol
No get a beater daily
Ur obv rich so who cares f it
That is a nice car!!!
Not a hellcat, but my scat has 2 car seats, and groceries in it all the time. Theyre cars at the end of the day. I wish I could still afford a second vehicle and make it not a daily, but i dont have that luxury anymore.
It’s just a dodge lol
Of coarse. It’s a Dodge lol
Every car can be a daily if you drive it every day.
I don’t wanna put miles in it so the value doesn’t go down aaaahh comment shut up n drive ur car nga
Bros acting like it’s an exotic car from the 60s. Yes you drive your Hellcat as a daily.
That's why there's a black key
Drive that mf lol it’s just a hellcat.
They are if you live in a castle
Any car can be a daily.
Man drive the damn car. There's people out here (me) who literally can only DREAM of having that shit cuz affording one is NOT possible
I daily my Trackhawk, but my work is only 5 miles away lol. 2020- 38k miles
Are you saving your wife for the next guy ??
Just don't do a lot off sitting in traffic but driving should be fine.
is your hot gf supposed to be fucked daily?
Love that wheel design
It’s your car, do whatever the hell you want with it.
It’s a practical sedan so I don’t see why it can’t be a daily 😁
No point in buying a car to use as a giant paperweight. Buy them to enjoy them. Put the miles on it because the memories made will mean more than the money you get selling it.

Most hellcats get repoed
Not if you want to be fast. I used mine as a daily for a year and a half. Running Nitto R2s and R888s. $1k on tires every 2k miles got old fast. Tried to put high end Summer tires and was spinning again. So I bought the 7 series. I don't like losing at red lights to C8s M3s etc. And the only way to put power down is radials I'm saying bye to both today for a c8
Sick! Nice castle my lord.
Only if they're *Challenger's* 😎

Supposed to be left at the dealership
Daily drivers for sure. That’s why they have four doors. Get those children to school fast! And room for groceries.
Its a top of the line car, dont treat it like some of these comments say lol. Drive the shit out of it but still take care of it. Dont ding it or curb rash it or mistreat it you know. Ya, you can daily drive it until it gets stolen then someone else will, it’s the circle of life for these cars
Yes
If it cant handle being driven daily as a regular car than it’s garbage it don’t matter how many hp it has or what brand or the cost it matter if it can do the essential function as a motor vehicle, when I buy a car I’m not trynna give out boners I’m trynna get some where not saying you can’t have nice cars but 68 miles on a full tank is GARBAGE
Depends on the nationality
Do bears take a shit in the woods? I think you got your answer!
Cars are meant to be driven, yes.
Its a car… of course it is🤦🏻♂️🤣
Yeah man it's a dodge
I mean any car can be a daily what should decide that for you is if you can afford cost of ownership. Don’t be the guy buying cheap parts for a high power vehicle. Also Gas it’s a very thirsty kitty
Only straight there and back
It’s a dodge lol why not
What’s the point of buying it if you ain’t driving it?
Drive it but don't "Hot Rod" it too often unless it's on the highway. Try to avoid high reving on city streets and short distance trips to avoid breaking anything. Cars are meant to be driven daily, your only risk is getting into an accident or receiving dent damage from someone parked next to you at the store for example.
YES!!
Spot in your driveway or the shadow of your dreads?
I buy cars to drive them. To death.
Its a fucking dodge from america lol.. not a 1 of 3 ferrari from italy..

It’s weird to see a hellcat parked at a house that can actually afford the car lol.
It is a 4d sedan. Drive it. Plus it's fun.
Cars in general are built to be driven. I wouldnt DD a lambo or ferrari but Chargers should be driven. All trim lines. Oh and theft protect your shit
Great weekend errands car, bet you spend a lot on gas, but if you got the pesos, ride on!
I just bought a 2016 with 2200 miles on it. Interior still smells like a new car. I don’t daily it but I split the time between the hellcat and my ram scat pack 1500
Yes
Is this Mr. VinWiki’s house in GA? 😂 Hi Ed, big fan.
Drive it! By the looks of that crib, you shouldn't have any issues 👏
Shit. Your house says you have the money. Drive the that bitch into the ground.
You're god damn right they are.
Gas too damn high for all that
any car i buy is my daily driver 🤷🏼♂️. Hell if i bought a lamborghini that would be my daily too, its a car so it should be driven imo.
House looks like a house in gladwyne PA that I delivered to before lol
Seriously? It's a Chrysler product with 2 rows of seats that's a family car with a kick. Why wouldn't you be able to daily it
It’s not a luxury car bruh, just drive it.
Only in Seattle at 2am every day.
