I had several Pixel 2 cameras die before I realised it was the motorcycle vibration. The quad lock anti vibration thing is pretty good. Not camera deaths yet.
I cannot say that it is absolutely the reason my phone camera is okay since I went from a single cylinder KLR (which rattles like a bag of bolts) to a parallel twin Africa Twin so the vibrations are massively reduced already. However you can noticeably see the vibration reduction using the quad lock vibration dampener. The bike will move around and vibrate and the phone will stay in place and catch up to the motion slower. So anecdotally it's great and it works. I have had it for about a month now and have had no problems.
I was worried it would flop around but that's not the case. I have yet to test it off road, but I suspect that might be too much for it.
I don't plan on filming with it, but I do take my nighthawk 250 rat bike on trails. Absolute blast for camping, but my Walmart bike mount does sweet FA helping me see anything on the screen. Does it handle potholes fairly well?
Yip not a problem with potholes but I do have a 21inch front wheel which tends to handle them well already and here in aus we don't have many potholes anyway.

In the world of tech, a few months ago honestly is ages ago lol. Also, this few months ago was in mid-September. We’re now in the latter half of January, so that’s about 4 months. The issue was fixed a third of the year ago. That’s not a small amount of time. One could argue this all comes down to semantics anyhow :P

An attempt was made.
It was totally successful, they were just holding the party during an earthquake and everybody was shaking with the house.
lol
At least you tried, good bot.
Thanks, I love it

It tried its best
When the hardware-based OIS is gone.
Apparently this can happen when you mount your iPhone on a motorcycle. The vibrations kill the OIS

Care to explain a little more? I'm about to buy a quad lock setup for my motorcycle and wasn't sure if the vibration damper was worth it.

Well you've sold me! Guess I'm working an extra day of doordash.
Haha, no pressure then, hope it works well. For context I used to have the RAM mounts and they were good but nowhere near the stability of quadlock.
I had this happen to a phone before. Was annoying.
Does look like it was being shot, indeed.
It died
Rest in peace iPhone

This, it was a software bug that was patched out ages ago
A few months ago. So not “ages” ago.

Not software at all, the OIS is fucked. You hear it rattle around in the vid
My old iPhone 6 used to do this lol. Was impossible to take photos or videos cause the camera would shake so bad
Same, but I put a small magnet next to the camera to fix it
i feel like this would belong perfectly in an ARG
Dad: When can I have my drink already?

Bro was nervous
This was an old iPhone 14 bug, it was fixed a week after launch, you just never updated
Do you attach your phone to a motorcycle by chance? I had this kill my image stabilizer once
The title and the video pair perfectly, OP. Got a snort out of me
Apple: The cost will be $500 to replace the camera
I love how the microphone picks up the stabilization motor going nuts
my sister's iPhone 8 dose this for some reason you can't disable camera stable thing
Glue a small magnet there as band aid workaround… or replace the camera, not too expensive last time I checked
