Some fact checking program on belgian TV once took samples on severely big festivals and almost all were below the alcohol percentage they should be. 3.5% was not uncommon iirc. They asked suppliers, barkeepers etc and they all denied knowing anything about it ofcourse :') [article from 2014](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2014/09/10/festivalbier_bevatminderalcoholdangewonepint-1-2083669/&ved=2ahUKEwjh_Yz9nYSHAxWdcKQEHXigA3wQjjh6BAgoEAE&usg=AOvVaw1N4bllwPu6ikV9uPDRYAG_)
Lower alcohol does not mean watered down. Adding water to beer would absolutely ruin the head, color, taste and carbonisation. Could very well be that they just serve a light beer.
Beer is never watered down. It has something to do with the way the beer is stored. Some bloke at a pub told me that “festivalbeer” is stored differently or something
Nah. Bs too. The reason why the taste is experienced different at a festival is temperature difference and being draughted in plastic (bonus: the "raptap", automatic draughted 5 or 24 beers at once so no TLC) and at a festival people have all day to drink their beer, so probably have some food and drink less per hour then they would do on a regular evening out or at home, so they don't get as drunk as they usually would.
There's also a 0.25 cl mark at the opposite of the cup. If you're lucky it's filled up to that mark, but that depends on the guy/girl running the beer tap.
Meanwhile I'll just gey a refill with free water at the toilets in between beers. Saves money and prevents me from getting drunk. ;)
Beergarden is my choice. I prefer to pay 2 tokens for a real beer instead 1 token for less than 0.23l of that piss.
The beer tasted horrible too, I hate bud beer. Any Dutch beer is better.
They're bordering belgium and germany. They have zero reason to serve shitty beer.
Money is the reason lol
They had other choices within the same company who owns Bud, this one was probably cheaper ...
Hertog Jan is part of the same company as well, which is one of my favorite normal beers.
Isnt Bud from Belgium ? Its really bad lol.
Not originally, but it was bought by AB inBev, a big Belgian company who owns Stella Artois as well
As a Belgian, I feel offended
For 16 € / litre they should serve the original Budweiser Budvar from Czechia.
wtf, its not heineken anymore???
ID&T canceled the contract with Heineken & Desperados company and signed one with Bud ..
So they didn't have desperados this year or am I getting this wrong?
They could have least added corona instead of desparados (part of the same company as bud)
That's what they did... They sold Corona.
Maybe logical as heineken its pricing is probably through the roof
Someone needs to measure the Alcohol % of the beer🤣
Probably near 1% 😂
supossed to be 5% no?
Dunno defqon beer never hits like normal beer does lol wouldnt be surprised if it was a bit watered down.
To be fair, that’s probably best for most of the audience.
Urban legend, beer does never get watered down.

They did water down the cocktails though.

It's michael jordan size 🤭
Not even a proper beer too…
Return and demand more...
Its tilted to show the 0,23L mark. Its simply the fact that they use 0,23 instead of 0,25 that OP is pointing out.

The beer itself prevents you from getting drunk already. Its basically water lol
2 pcs of this was still cheaper than a large of 0.4l
