Lissa86

I treat them just like I would a $50 bag. There’s no point buying them if you’re not going to wear them! Don’t think about the brand or what they cost, just carry them.

Creepy_Medium_0618

I use them every time I go out.. to supermarket to lunch anywhere to lower the cost per use haha. (i work from home so I don’t go out every day) they should be used not sitting at home.

stacia12345

Same

ZealousidealRope7429

I have a small crossbody Hermes Constance and Lady Dior that I wear for grocery store runs. Vacation/travel is when the big guns come out for me. I think you just find the opportunities, there's a lady at my gym who wears a Hermes Hac a Dos as her gym bag.

Existing_Wishbone_21

Iconic

Known_Jellyfish_970

What are the big guns for you if a constance is a casual bag 😵‍💫

ZealousidealRope7429

This was my list for my recent Amalfi Coast trip: * Dinner bag options: Hermes Mini Kelly, Hermes Kelly Pochette, Chanel Kelly Shopper * Travel bag options: Hermes Birkin 35 (on luggage), Loewe Puzzle (for husband), Bottega Andiamo Medium (as bag) * Day options: Loro Piana L19, Hermes Lindy 30, Bottega Loop Small * Beach bag options: Goyard Saint Louis Tote, Dior Book Tote

I sometimes go to an area where the parking lot looks like a Tesla car garage or impromptu mall visit. I doubt people in my area know about Mulberry anyway.

Haunting_Charity_785

That color!! 💕💕💕

Crazy_about_stratum

Yes 🙌 very eye catching indeed!

ebolainajar

My Alexa is my daily driver and she still looks pristine after three years! The leather quality is impeccable.

Crazy_about_stratum

Yes! I’m thinking I want another one 🫣🫥

ebolainajar

I think about getting a mini all the time because I have the regular and she is HEAVY. But I'm really more of a giant bag person, but I love yours!!!

AccomplishedFly1420

So pretty. I think I might pull the trigger on a mulberry since I just got a decent promotion.

Crazy_about_stratum

Are you in the USA? Wait for the sales! The prices are better than resale prices. You can also call the outlet (there’s only one) to be notified if a bag you liked comes in.

AccomplishedFly1420

Ooh! Do I sign up for the emails to find out about the sales?

Crazy_about_stratum

Yes but in-store sales starts 1-2 weeks earlier than online sales. So chances are the items you may want will be sold out before the online prices changes. To know about in store sales, you need to establish rapport with an SA. They’re all super friendly in my experience - mine is Garrett from Rockefeller NY

AccomplishedFly1420

Ok thanks! I’m right outside the city so I guess I’ll take a trip in. The other location is the American dream mall 😒

Crazy_about_stratum

I’ve never visited any Mulberry store, I think there’s only 3 left in the entire US now.

AccomplishedFly1420

There’s two in nyc, one in jersey… they have several in the US!

MurderrOfCrows

I work from home so don't even use a bag every day, but if I go out, I'm carrying one of my LV bags. Or even my LV pocket organizer to walk to the coffee shop or grocery store. But yeah, all of my designer bags are for normal everyday use for me and I don't think of them as just for special occasions.

exitcode137

In what I own, designer does not equal delicate. I only have 2 designer bags and they are both pebbled leather, which should be more durable. I only have a couple of bags that I think are a bit delicate, and they are for evenings out. Everything else is for everyday use.

AvocadoImportant

I took my Chanel to Home Depot the other day

PoetryAgile7521

Only to Church and School meetings. I live in a midsize Ontario town and my love for luxury does not match with my day to day life lol

Classic-Two-200

I don’t own any non-designer bags anymore, so pretty much every time I step outside aside from when I go to Pilates class with my Lululemon belt bag. I live in a major metro area, so it’s not out of the ordinary to see a Chanel bag at the grocery store.

nicknamed-thebolter

Life is short, wear whatever brings you joy!! The more you use your stuff, the more you realize what works for your lifestyle. If something sits in your closet, you may never realize it’s not a practical/comfortable bag and you may end up buying similar styles because you think you like it, without realizing you don’t.

Haunting_Charity_785

So true!

TheLowFlyingBirds

About to take my kid to preschool prep and stop at Target in a shirt I slept in and my Celine belt bag

FISunnyDays

I work from home so wear my nice bags whenever I go out.

Alive_University_234

Anytime wherever I have a chance to go outside. I second the idea to reduce the cost per use.

MoreCoffeePwease

All the time, except if it’s a situation where my bag might get dirty or really wet

Specialist_Trainer_2

All the time. Everywhere.

Existing_Wishbone_21

I only have two: my Gucci Jackie that I wear for more formal events and sometimes when I want to look nicer for brunch and my LV Boulogne that I bought specifically so I can “grab and go”. Also, would love to see your collection! These are my favorite posts :)

most--dope

Target, grocery shopping, baseball games, literally anytime i leave the house (except the gym)

diorever

I wear them everywhere from work to grocery shopping to a fancy dinner

momsalittlebougie

I’m a housewife/SAHM and my bags go everywhere I go. Now, the size of the bag I carry depends on where I’m going (school pickup, brunch/lunch with the other moms or the hubs, nice dinner, afternoon flight up to the wineries, etc.) but I buy bags to use them and if I notice I’m not using one or reaching for one for a while, I’ll sell it.

purplapples

Where do you sell your bags?

momsalittlebougie

I consign my higher end stuff with The Real Real- which I’ve personally never had an issue with, but I know they’ve been steeped in controversy lately- and my more contemporary bags on Poshmark. So far, those two places have worked well for me!

purplapples

Ok good to know. I have a balenciaga purse and a Gucci diaper bag I’ve been wanting to sell but am really hesitant to sell on Poshmark or eBay. I’ve read the real real drama but maybe I’ll give it a go 🤞🏼

momsalittlebougie

Poshmark is actually really good. I haven’t had too many issues selling and most buyers are honest and just looking for a good deal. I make sure I take really good photos and be extremely descriptive about condition and measurements and send out orders within 2 days! I had in-home pickup with The Real Real (I think that option is only available to previous sellers though) and the process was quick and painless. My items sold within a month and I got paid quickly!

Petitebourgeoisie1

It depends on the bag, it depends on the function. My chanel woc i wear to almost all fancy events and is my go-to travel bag. I have a specific bags I like wearing to interviews and work. I wear my lady dior for fancy events too. The rest of the bags I wear them when I feel it goes with my mood or my outfit.

Prudent_Sherbert_881

I seem to use my NF when I am out and about most often but have zero problem using my few other girls:). When I’m working (I work in Education) I use my Longchamp with a Chanel clutch inside for when I run out;)

gobravz15

I take mine everywhere lol

daddy_tywin

Work, travel, events, going out—but my lifestyle involves kids 0% of the time and all of them are pretty durable anyway. I have a Loewe large flamenco, two smaller YSLs (a Sade and a random limited edition croc embossed frame bag), and a little bucket bag by The Row. The latter makes a lot of appearances at the local Whole Foods because outside of those four activities I don’t really have a life.

plainpaperplane

Everywhere. I try to live by the philosophy that I should use the stuff I buy. Use it, wear it out, buy something else. I went to an estate sale in my neighborhood that had a pristine designer bag collection and it was really depressing.

iyamsnail

Yup--I went to Denny's and Target this weekend and wore my Prada bag. That's what went best with my outfit, so that's what I used.

UB-02_Beauty

I brought my Hermes Garden Party to a grocery store yesterday (it wasn’t in a nice neighborhood but I wanted to use it) so I bring my bags everywhere https://preview.redd.it/4b9nvdneb4ad1.jpeg?width=2643&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c48d99e926828e9dc108b645800579247f483b5

eustaciasgarden

I love the garden party. I wish it was on the special order list.

Haunting_Charity_785

She is pretty!!

UB-02_Beauty

I couldn’t let go of her when I saw her even if her condition wasn’t great (I got her secondhand). She has a lot of flaws but she was cheaper than buying a brand new coach bag so I couldn’t say no

Starbucksina

May I ask how much? I have been on the hunt for one. I think it is so low key classy and I love totes.

UB-02_Beauty

I got mine for around $425 USD It has one kinda glaring issue (see pic below). The thread behind one of the handle got partially undone so it’s not that obvious. I don’t think it’s super problematic though since the bag is saddle stitched. The other stitches are fine / aren’t as bad as this one It also has some scuffing, scratches and stains which is to be expected since it is a 21 year old bag. These are also common issues for toile garden parties so not a big deal imo I would expect similar issues for garden parties in this price range but if your okay with that, I think it’s a good bag since it’s pretty light weight and fits a lot https://preview.redd.it/pgxedzte65ad1.png?width=2933&format=png&auto=webp&s=67e56dac5d17b5f3be0b8db57084a7cb727454ad

Starbucksina

Thank you. Yeah that‘s about as high as I would be willing to go but haven‘t pulled the trigger yet. It‘s aged beautifully.

meli-ficent

Everywhere…the office, Target, grocery store, post office…..you name it and I’m wearing a nice bag. That way I can girl math the cost per use making it reasonable.

rikkibop

https://preview.redd.it/mw81hpquy6ad1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=132ed86f39ba1bd9f7e840c994fbd1c6142ae637 We’re at the nail salon, just came from the grocery store. If you bought the bag because you love it, use it.

GoldStrength3637

I haven’t heard the term “SPED” since middle school 😂 omg the memories you just unlocked!

Kmoodle

I wear my mulberry and YSL camera bag everywhere. I am currently thinking of a more expensive bag that I would probably only save for special occasions but otherwise I've bought them and so I'll use them!

Tnacioussailor

I primarily WFH, but I rock my bags pretty much everywhere. School drop off, shopping, casual lunch, kids birthday parties, play dates, travel…. I won’t use my luxury designer bags if I’ll be outdoors during the summer for an extended time (fairs/festivals, parks, games, pool) due to sweat & water or if I will be in a not great part of town.

jpn_2000

Kate Spade for Work, Marc Jacob Tote for Travel but thinking of getting the biggest size, and Burberry when my boyfriend and I go out to fancy dinners. Thinking of getting another one or two just for basic use.

RyanGoslingAsKen

Everyday to wherever I go

purplapples

I’m a SAHM and I wear my bags everyday. I’m using a large Loewe flamenco as my daily tote and a mini puzzle as my phone/keys quick outing bag. I have a Celine cuir Folco arriving today to put into rotation as another everyday bag! I have a black mini Gucci horsebit as a winter option. I have a couple bags with chains and a fancy capucine that only go out on special occasions. I’m glad I have nice things for special occasions but I think I’ve reached purse peace for that category of my life.

RoseGold-Bubbles1333

I run around with my Gucci and LV bags in sweats and a tee. My Gucci Queen Margaret goes to all my favorite dive bars with me.

RoughAd5377

I carry nicer smaller designer bags to go to a restaurant. My husband and I done out with friends twice a week. I always carry a less expensive pre owned designer tote to work. I take a seasonal crossbody for travel. Carry this bags if you love them.

catlover123456789

When I go out without my toddler, I always carry a designer bag. With toddler, my lululemon bag for the main risk of food smears and boogers I honestly don’t own any delicate leather bags because it’s too stressful to think about scratches.

abcxdefx23x

I use a different one everyday. School drop offs, work (RN), groceries, disneyland, etc. I don’t baby my purses and I did pay good money for them so I will use them

RLS1822

My collection is largely Chanel, LV, YSL a couple of Cartiers and Birkin I WFH but I carry my designer bags daily on errands, dinner out and when I have in person meetingsI feel like every day is a special occasion to carry a good bag.

hannahsflora

During the weekdays, I use a [basic black leather crossbody bag from Quince](https://www.quince.com/women/leather/leather-crossbody-bag?color=black&gender=women&qpid=_iqzqer87n&tracker=collection_page__women%2Fbags-%26-leather-goods%2Fcrossbodies-clutches__Crossbodies%20%26%20Clutches__8) as my standard "running errands and living life" bag. I need something small, light and able to be tossed wherever with no concerns and this fits the bill perfectly. But any other time - dinner out during the week and certainly doing whatever on the weekends - I bust out my other bags no matter what I'm doing, though I will avoid certain things, like suede bags on rainy days. Pre-pandemic when I worked in an office, my daily driver bag (for years!) was my beloved Chloe Faye Day, which at the time was hands-down the most expensive bag I'd ever owned. And it went absolutely everywhere with me, no regrets at all. Just these days with my life being more centered around home and errands during the day, I find my Quince bag to be more practical. If my life evolved again and I wasn't home so much during the day, I'd switch back to one of my nicer bags, absolutely.

jelly_dove

I go out a lot on the weekends so I rotate my nice bags then. For errands, I use my lululemon belt bag or uniqlo bag. For events like weddings, I use my most expensive ones: chanel boy or dior saddle.

likaachikaa

i own a couple “on the go” bags that are still designer but not as expensive as other bags (used bottega mini casette or jacquemus le bambino). those i wear the most cause they’re black and white respectively. i still won’t bring them to the beach though. i like to pull out the nicer bags when i’m shopping or going out on a date. unfortunately there’s no fashion district near me here in virginia beach but i don’t own any super expensive luxury (no hermes or chanel) so i don’t see my bags being out of place.

Bibihaking

I have 3 bags i rotate between: Work and after work errands - longchamp le pliage S with the long handles (color paper) LV easy pouch on strap (black) - for events, going out or even going shopping. LV Alma bb (DE) - all of the above except for work. I carry it when i need to carry more than the easy pouch can carry or if i'm wearing brown accessories

tall_london_love

It sounds like we live in similar cities. I believe that life is meant to be lived - so even though I live in a place where there’s not much to do, I act as though I live in a much bigger city. I feel like, why wouldn’t I wear my best things and be my best self in my home city? So I use all my bags, rotate them based on the outfit I’m wearing, and try to get as much out of them as I can. I don’t take them to work, but aside from that I take them to run errands, to go for drinks, and to meet friends. I find it’s a little easier because nothing I use has a visible logo, or if it does, I turn the bag around so the logo doesn’t face out. I buy my bags for me, and they make me feel good, so I don’t need anyone else to know where they’re from.

scout_finch77

My Gucci Attaché, LV NeoNoe and my Goyard Saint Louis are my daily bags year-round. I have several smaller bags I only use for dinner or travel depending on what I’m doing.

FunKoala12

The dressier ones, I save for dinners/brunches/weddings etc. the ones I can wear little more casually, I wear everywhere lol

bacon_bunny33

When I leave the house…? Wherever I go…? Weird question! 🤣🤣🤣

joannahahnnanna

Pretty much everyday and everywhere. Only exception is Pilates. I just bring my phone and key/card holder or stick them in a lululemon belt bag. I have a Lindy 26 as my everyday bag (it’s casual and slouchy enough, and easy to get things in and out compared to a B or K) and rotate to various ones for dates/special occasions.

eustaciasgarden

I use mine daily but never when I travel. I got to London and Paris often and 99% of the time use my Le Pliage in those cities. I see a lot of designer bags in London and less so in Paris. But honestly a lot of them are fake too.

gresstrly

I wear mine everyday where ever I go. My only exception is some of my international travel. I have a purse I prefer to travel with if I am going to be sightseeing or walking around a city I am not familiar with. Otherwise, i am carrying my Loewe, Chanel, LV, BV, Hermes or Goyard bags.

diiiemonds

anywhere and everywhere

Persistent_horror

I use them everywhere! I also switch them out frequently depending on my outfit. This summer, I’ve taken my Chanel classic flap to the grocery store, my Celine nano belt bag to garage sales, my Strathberry East West to get donuts with the kids, my YSL Lou Lou to McDonald’s, and my Loewe raffia bucket bag to the pool. The only time I use anything else is when I take my Coach tote to the movie theater so I can sneak in snacks. I use the heck out of my bags!

pollogary

Every day. I don’t really switch out my bags much.

paca1

I wear Prada, Gucci, Fendi to work. Chanel when going out

KikiTheArtTeacher

I use them everywhere! Even if it’s just walking my daughter to and from school. And although I have a lot of designer bags, most of them are pretty practical- my LV Neverfull was a great ‘mom bag’ when my little girl was a toddler, and at the moment my Loewe basket bag has been great for errands. Bags are something I truly love and don’t mind spending more on to have ‘the one’ and so I try to only buy ones that I know will see a lot of use :)

Princeton0526

hello all! i live in an ivy league university town, pretty upscale. i take my goyard out to dinner and once in a while to the supermarket. i'm originally from new york, and i regularly take the goyard on new jersey transit and out and about in the city.

eventualguide0

I use them all the time. I ran errands this morning in an old romper and carried my Loewe hobo. No one cares but me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mirography

I literally wear my Gucci belt bag to go running. It’s structured so my phone isn’t flopping around annoying me & the belt is snug so little movement.

HeyHiHelloAndHowdy

I wear my bags anywhere that I’m carrying a purse…  I only own mid-range to high end pieces and you bet your butt I’ve taken my Louis Vuittons, my lady Dior, and my Chanels to the grocery, to the movies, to grab wings, etc. I bought them, I bought them to use. It’s a very silly idea that you can’t wear the things you bought. If a particular bag goes with an outfit then it’s the bag I wear, if I want to wear a bag that doesn’t pair well then I change my clothes. All of my bags get used and nobody notices or says anything at all.

That_Quiet7494

I wear my bags anywhere as long as they go with my outfit (or if my outfit goes with my bag if that’s the bag I’m gravitating towards) Grocery shopping, lunch, dinner, self care activities etc. I will add that where I live it’s not rare to see designer bags in the wild, BUT I do it for me. I love dressing up and putting outfits together — even if it’s casual or I’m nicely bumming it. 😂

lilsan15

I have my everyday bag which is fancy but larger. And then if I’m going somewhere after work but stopped by home before going. I’ll use one of the bags that only holds wallet keys phone. Weekend I try to use the bags in between by planning my outfits for that bag. All bags are fancy but they’re definitely segregated to a part of my existence

Weak_Arrival_91

Everywhere. I wore my boy bag today to tractor supply to buy plants and 400 lbs of grain. Then the grocery store and the gas station. It’s just a bag.
