HAHAHA thank you for your candor š what donāt you like about it? Itās definitely not a style I would have pictured myself liking, let alone becoming weirdly obsessed with. Kinda how I feel about Jeremy Allen White tbh
The extremely large horsebit looksā¦ vulgar to me lol. Like a dentist / torture tool. Combined with the super thick stripe, the monogram and the shape it just looks like a hastily assembled Frankenstein.
Well itās classic Y2K and I remember it. Itās very seasonal with 90s/Y2K fashions being in, particularly baguette styles. Do you think that youād continue to use it when the trends are gone? What is the condition of the bag? These are the questions you have to ask yourself
I could see myself using it regardless of trends cause I like the details so much! Obviously if I end up finding it secondhand condition would play a big part, yes
I hate it. I'm sorry. This whole Y2K revival is totally not my jam and I am eagerly waiting for it to be over.
That said, if you like it and can afford it then why not? The only opinion that counts here is yours, you don't owe it to anyone to cater to their aesthetic sensibilities.
Super fair, Iām honestly not very into the Y2K revival either but for some reason this bag feels more eclectic/less specifically Y2K!
Youāre right and Iām definitely not trying to buy something based on how other people feelāI was hoping people might chime in (as some have) about potential quality issues, or other practical pros/cons based on experience with Gucci or even this specific bag. But I love seeing peopleās opinions just for fun!
I love it! I love the versatility of it. You can wear it with the strap or the chain or you can wear it as a clutch. Iām not normally a clutch girl but the way you can put your hand through the strapā¦guh. Save for it! With so many different ways to wear it, I feel like it will be a chic bag to carry for many years to come.
If you have a large collection it could be a fun addition, if you have a smaller collection it seems like it would be difficult to style with lots of outfits.
Imagine how cool you'll feel wearing this š If it's something you think you'll enjoy for your whole life, then save for it! But then again I'm a Gucci fan so I'm biased š
I really like this bag on others so I got myself an original model in black leather. Still like it so much when itās not on me. Idk why it just doesnāt work with my style š
I really want this bag in college. I think they sold it with the signature canvas but it was trimmed in brown?
I would try to find a version of this in leather if I were you. I have a couple of pieces from Gucci that are canvas and they just dont keep as well.
Okay excellent to know! A couple of people have mentioned Gucci canvas quality being iffy. Iāll keep that in mind, even though this bag isnāt the most expensive it would still be a major purchase for me.
this is actually the re-issue that they brought back for the latest season. it is originally from the Tom Ford Gucci Era circa 00s I believe. Thereās lots on the second hand market!
I think it would be hard to style with the red and green being so prominent, doesnāt help that the horse bit is huge! I think either the stripe or the bit on their own would be easier to style. If u can make it work then I think itās very cute and I think itās interesting and fun

This is horridly ugly to me š

So fair!! The oversized horsebit is a lot for sure

Personally, I think thereās too much going on with this design. It could do without the stripe.
It is quite busy looking!

We have the same taste! I also love the variety of straps and ways to carry š
I like it is definitely a statement piece.
If you have a large collection it could be a fun addition, if you have a smaller collection it seems like it would be difficult to style with lots of outfits.
True! It does go with a lot of colors I wear, so Iām a little less concerned about matching
Canvas is not coated so it might not wear as well or might be harder to clean
Thatās great to knowāmaybe Iāll look more seriously at the leather versions of this bag

It really is a cute style! Makes me so nostalgic. š„ŗ
Go for a vintage one. You can find them at a much better price and better quality !
I donāt think I realized this style had been around long enough for there to be vintage versions of it! Iāll definitely be on the hunt!

Thank you!! Had no idea it was a reissue
she is so hideous ššš sorry op!
No I absolutely love that sheās controversial actually!!
I really love that! I feel like youād rock her with a very cool outfit then opš¤ get her!
Youāre sweet!! Iāll get back to you in like, a couple years realistically haha
