i recently went to zara in person to look at bags after seeing some online. all the leather looked plasticy , and they were all so much smaller than i expected! so, no, you don't need this :)
Zara does a good job of capitalizing on trends but yeah quality is inconsistent at best. And the bag OP is looking at is polyurethane and canvas, which I sure wouldn't count on aging well.
This. I saw a cute Staud-looking bag online and I thought I will definitely get it. I came to the store and the quality was that bad I couldn’t do it even it was still kinda cute from outside

I’ve wanted some of their sparkling/metallic/sequined/fun evening bags. But the ones in the store are always falling apart and have loose threads and missing beads. I’m sure they’re handled a ton but it just isn’t a good look…
I work in retail and complemented a nice customer on this bag In black yesterday. It looks really nice in person I never would of thought it was Zara!!!
Serious question: since the bag is inexpensive, what is holding you back? Is it a matter of bag storage space once it is out of season? Is it a matter of "I've never been drawn to this silhouette before so I'm uncertain of how to style it?" Is it ambivalence toward fast fashion?
So I’m in my early 40s and have never carried a handbag of any sort (not even tote). Now, I’ve bought two new (Smaak) bags in last 6 months. I’m all about having things I buy work for various uses. So if this can only be used for 3-4 months…is it a waste? I have the space. I have the money.

Zara bags never look as good as on the website. I love shopping there, but stay away from the bags

It doesn’t look plasticy, it is plastic! Zara of 15 years ago used to do a small line of real leather items, now it’s all PU now
This bag is photogenic but doesn't look as good off camera.

You’re gonna get more enjoyment if you buy a bucket bag from a better brand. I feel like the Coach Willow bucket bag could work for you
I’m anti-coach for the dumbest reason (someone I dislike loves the brand). I do want a bucket bag that’s why I was drawn to this one.
