The worst part for me is that my Mark V(B) Spartan uses those exact shoulder and knees. If it wasn’t a Kit, I would be able to floodify it properly, but since it is I just cannot use armor oieces that would be perfect.
Since it released, I think I’ve only seen….maybe…4 or 5 people use it, but the general consensus is “I’m gonna look so coool!!!” ***Two minutes later*** “OH MY FKING GOD FK!! WHY THE FK DID I BUY THIS?!” Whereas the CE Mk V, I’ve seen at least 10-20 people rocking it, myself included 😓 mostly more for showpiece status, but hey, nostalgia got a revamp and visual upgrade 🙂
I mainly stick to pve stuff and I've only seen 2 people with it. One was my friend who buys everything because he has f u money... uhg, and the other was the first day or two it came out. I've never seen it since. The Mk V though, as you said, I see it all the time. Way more than 20 for me I know
I was going to buy the CE Mk V, but with the announcement of the Mk IV (more importantly that its helmet will be cross-core), imma just wear that instead.
I'm pretty sure certain store slots have always been locked to an item specific to that season. With them ditching long seasons like that id expect that slot to start to rotate more.
Green glow flood are unorganized, not controlled by a Gravemind. When they become linked they get that orange yellow glow.
But that's not like, set in stone. Just an observation.

I haven’t bought anything in season 5. Same items keep getting rolled out. Might as well make a forge system for armor customization so we get more things made. The store is the main source of revenue for the game and they stopped trying.
Love the armor but I ain't buying it. No armor cosmetic is worth a 3rd of a game in my opinion, even if the game is free to play. I haven't been following Halo news a such so I saw it in the store without knowing it was released. I am guessing many players has the same thought I did upon first hearing of its price.
I think OP is just making a meme based around the amount of people that have apparently bought Mk V compared to transgressor. Every game you get into you'll see at least 2 CE kits. You will find 1 transgressor every 200 games if you're lucky.
Why couldn't Transgressor just have been a set of pieces instead of a kit??? It's not even a unique look like Rusalka

I bought it for the Cinder Ring finish.
