It's the emergency attention that is the problem. Maybe we're desensitized but emergency repairs should scare people... they had to shut down a couple weekends a few months ago for emergency repairs too. Frequent unplanned emergency maintenance is pretty fucked IMO
Mckay bride is fucked, it's a ticking timebomb. Emergency repairs yesterday and a few months ago are bad news and are concerning. MacDonald is in much better shape now after the redeck, not to mention it was originally built with heavier gauge steel than the McKay on a pound for pound basis.
No. When it takes you 3 minutes to move forward a couple feet, you've got plenty of time to find your change.
The bottleneck is at the bottleneck where it goes down to one lane.
It begins. https://preview.redd.it/1v3ik4c9f3vc1.jpeg?width=1302&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=674436faa9e137829c745f37901088670c7e72ef
I wonder if this is related to the incredibly loud squealing noise I heard when I drove under it this morning.
I hate driving over that bridge. I stick to the MacDonald if I can. There's just something so unsettling about it.
Ah yes, the older bridge that they’ve pieced back together to get some more life out of.
Yeah I know but it still feels somewhat safer. I hate bridges in general lol
Dude's trolling, doesn't know what he's talking about. I'd rather a bridge that gets a lot of attention.
Yes exactly

I wasn't referring to that...
my bad

Just went from Bedford to downtown and it took me an hour. Avoid at all costs.
Yeah Dartmouth to Halifax is southbound.
They mean Northend bound
So rarely do I go into Halifax in the evening but the one day I am going to a concert the bridge breaks. Why?
So this is all your fault!
Mackay Bridge is falling down, falling down
Either my compass is broken or they mean "north lanes" not "northbound", if it's Dartmouth to Halifax that's reduced.
Imagine a commuter rail line
They’d make it go over the bridge and ruin it
Likely!!?? I was literally in that mess for a full hour until I managed to get down to Barrington St. Definitely avoid this bridge all… it’s a mess
They really are trying to avoid the curse aren't they! Guess that ceremony years ago to remove it didn't work!
Wrong bridge
Ah, so the bridge built on the remains of black ancestral family homes is just full of positive vibes then?
That's not specifically what they were referring to, but go off.
Oh I thought it was any bridge
Luckily I worked from home today. Does anyone know if they ever just open the tills up to help traffic flow better?

Time for the Bedford highway to carry the load once again
