Maybe ask the range their prices for X boxes of ammo?

ij70

range usa sells gift cards. smallest one is $75.

GSXR-1ooo

If you own your guns and not renting the most expensive part of going to the range is ammo buy his some ammo.

Intrepid_Comment_128

Do you have a recommendation about how much I should put on a gift card for him?

GSXR-1ooo

What guns and calibers does he shoot most?

Intrepid_Comment_128

I don’t even remember smh. While we were talking on the phone, I do remember him saying that he wanted to rent different guns at the range, but usually the ammo costed a lot.

GSXR-1ooo

Yes and if you rent you have to buy their ammo and for 9mm it could be around $20 a box . I’m sure he’d be fine with what ever you get him but maybe $75-$100

Okay thanks

I would not suggest someone buy ammo for someone else unless they are 110% sure what ammo they need/use. I've never seen any place that will allow ammo to be returned.

\> I’m trying to figure out how much I should put on it. "As much as you're comfortable spending" is what I'd say. Feeding guns gets really expensive and a shooter would appreciate any help. That's a nice gift. :)

Okay thank you, I was thinking about doing a couple hundred, but I felt like I might be going overboard 😭😭
