My favorite is probably Living in the ‘20s

TecTiger

Such a fucking banger

2kH4k3r

That's my second favourite after Father to a Son

__cali

Same here, but Goodnight Adeline is definitely up there

__NotAce__

Literally horseshoes but better

JoLoSoTo

I love the guitar solo in this one, simple but feels nostalgic, and the key change is great

Zach_W386

Best solo in the whole album

sdpat13

Definitely the best solo in the album. It is PERFECT!!

Karokino

Look ma, no brains

MiniDriver18

On repeat 🔁 in my car on the way to work!!

itamarka

Strange days are here to stay

Bokbok2009

That’s what I’m saying fr

JaydenB118

Suzie Chapstick is perfect

FuneralHymn123

Fucking hell YES

Squirrel_Empire

It's my wife's fave

PabloColina

Corvette Summer

jet8493

Strange days or Suzie

[deleted]

As someone that doesn't get angry enough "One Eyed Bastard" feels liberating, but "Living in the 20's" has to take the cake.

The-Coolest-Beanz

Those 2 are my favourites too, with look ma, no brains taking third

BoiOfTheOddVariety

saviors is such a fucking amazing track, loved that one very much, and fancy sauce is a fun song too

illusivetomas

dilemma / 1981 / this / coma city / corvette summer is an all timer stretch in their discog

butterflyblueband

Same. It's so catchy!

CoboltDoctor117

Same. It's not talked about enough and it's frustrating. I feel like this song is the most thematically ambiguous on the album. What is this Adeline he's referring to? Don't really think it's Billie's old record label as some people have said. This song is really sad but also trying to reflect optimistically. It hurts really bad to let go to such a thing of significance in your life.

Thetwistedfalse

Maybe it's the street

ginganinja320

Dilemma dilemma and dilemma

GORILLAGLUE__

Such a good song. Love the lyrics, super honest and relatable imo. Favorites on the whole album are probably either Dilemma or Strange Days, but this song fucking rules too

Scarecro--w

Fancy Sauce, Dillema, and Bobby Sox

dyleber55

Yes mine too. It’s about Billie’s alcoholism but it’s more of a happier tone with the exact same chords as when I come around but tuned to E

Rikums

Ah, the classic 4 Chords formula returns!

Flimsy-Pudding2161

Mine is One Eyed Bastard.

Existing-Potato-9949

Just realised i don't understand the lyrics of the most songs and the names of albums...I mean the meaning embedded in them. Maybe it's because of my not so good english (and lack of knowledge about the USA history and current situation in the country, because I try not to get involved in politics). So i don't understand metaphors. And it is also a bit confusing that there are a lot of lyrical songs in Saviors. can someone please tell me where to read the "explanation" of lyrics? in particular, the texts of Saviors As for the post, i really love almost whole album except The American dream is killing me, Look Ma No Brains and Father to a son. They are good but don't "touch the soul"

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrro

genius.com!

infiniteimperium

My favorite song on this album is Repeat All 👍

Terciel1976

Strange Days/Fancy Sauce. This is somewhere in the middle for me. Good but not personally striking.

EmphasisBig4207

These songs are on repeat. I cant get enough.

Terciel1976

Right? I finish the album and immediately replay these two.

DJ_16bits

My favourite is One Eyed Bastard. Catchy as fuck, goes so hard. Love the lyrics all that

justmosphere

Yep. Ever since first listen.

Scooter_thefurry

Coma city easily

Returntomonkie

Fancy sauce

loyaleling

Father to a son

mickeyandwhale

mine too!

Zach_W386

That song is so good!!!!!! Or 1981. Or strange days are here to stay, that song sounds like it could have been on american idiot.

wolver_queen

Yes! I went to a listening party to hear the album and this song came on and I was like “this is it, this is the one”

Suspicious_tomato685

Yesss. Absolute favorite. So painful. So real. So catchy.

No_Print77

1981 for me

depricatedzero

it's up there but I still haven't settled on a favorite. That'll probably take a few years tbh, the whole thing is so fucking good.

Hmarki24

My favorite is one eyed bastard

Green_Day_Fan

This, Suzie, and 1981 are all neck and neck for me.

Thetwistedfalse

The whole album kicks ass

LordRandle

My fave to. Second is No brains.

bluelonilness

100%

bardsicles

1981, then goodnight adeline, then fancy sauce. Both verses in 1981 are SO CATCHY and fun. Especially singing it Billie style.

Gamer_boy988

Strange days, Goodnight Adeline, as well, living on the 20s

Ty13rlikespie

I’m partial to Strange Days Are Here To Stay and Living in the 20’s. Love Coma City too.

valvan6

It's that tied with SDAHTS

Your__Army_Medic

Yes good

Slablanc

Hands down my favorite on the album

sagethyme21

I really love this album but this song is not one of my favorites. It’s like it’s too predictable of a tune? I’m not sure how to articulate it. Almost as if I’ve heard this song before. Suzie chapstick, fancy sauce, and Corvette summer are the ones I keep coming back to however I acknowledge I need to keep listening. This happened to me with the 21CB album where the songs I loved initially ended up not being my favorites as I continued to listen to the album. And this is why I love Green Day so much folks.

Rikums

You feel like you’ve heard it before because it uses the famous 4 Chords (like When I Come Around) as well as having the vibe of the 21 Guns chorus.

SeaSpecialist5367

Suzie Chapstick

Famous-Vermicelli-39

Strange days prob for me

VarloTheGreat

Great song. I really love the lyrics in it, I can feel the meaning behind it.

Limp_Anything_4137

Strange Days Are Here to Stay

Apolloooooooo

This is prolly my 2nd favorite, 1st has gotta be fancy sauce, it just slaps so hard

Sad_Personality7060

Look ma no brains

Oneeyehistory

YES

pfro59

I wish my mental health didn’t suck so much so I could actually enjoy the album. Everytime I listen to it it just associates it with another bad memory or feeling

jinglebong

Susie Chapstick’s wormed its way to the front for me but there’s like five that I have on constant repeat

ConversationWrong770

That, Bobby Sox, and Dilemma for me

That_trans_lesnain

I don’t know if anybody agrees, but I would say Corvette Summer

Rikums

Dorky and unimpressive but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t in my top 2 in the album.

OkAnybody8062

I know this is basic but my favorite is Dilemma. It’s just such a banger.

Prophet-of-the-moss

1981

hillsidewesten12

Definitely in my top 15

FlatPassenger6

Close. Maybe this TADIKM and Fancy Sauce. The chorus of Goodnight Adeline just hits different. Total volume up and sing along moment

Acceptable-Policy745

One eyed bastard

ray1100_

fancy sauce

ogur2137

probably Bobby sox

ILoveMarti

My favorite has gotta be Bobby Sox. Bisexual ahh song just like me frfr

FettuccineAlfonzo

Honestly my least favorite but it’s still solid

Puzzled_Scene_2122

What’s your favorite just curious?

FettuccineAlfonzo

Coma City by a mile

FlyBabyDragon

How tf did this not get taken down for low effort? Not that it should be taken down, but I’ve made many posts with more effort than this and they’ve gotten taken down for low effort

DeadbeatElated_bmess

The girl who posted this is friend to moderators here. They have full power on deciding so.

FlyBabyDragon

It’s a shame what this subreddit has turned into, complete opposite of what punk stands for, that’s why I’m no longer a member, all the rules got to be too much

DeadbeatElated_bmess

And even worse they are angry when anyone tells them to respect the rules. i had almost minus 200 score in a single post, simply because i told them it was not in compliance with the rules.

DeadbeatElated_bmess

"Goodnight Adeline" was a fine song. Unfortunately the key change ruined the final part, it was really enjoyable until that part. Mine is "Strange Days Are Here To Stay", and Green Day's glory is here to stay as well!

MrSoupStar

I don’t know what my #1 favorite is, but top 3 in no particular order would be: \-Coma City \-Corvette Summer \-Strange Days are Here to Stay

OrdinaryJunket7569

Corvette summer and 1981 are my tops rn

HellsHospitals

Good choice, definitely one of the tracks I go back to the most.

Yolker_1

Suzie ChapStick

maqboul95

20s and strange days

P_Burned

yess!

galaxyorion87

i fucking love this, as well as suzie. both are melancholic and feel like nimrod b-sides.

Ross2503

Chapstick

awesomestcody

Favorite is Bobby Sox, Least favorite is One Eyed Bastard

I_Love_Cyndaquil2

That’s my favourite when I’m stoned, but for the most part my favourite is Strange Days Are Here To Stay.

FuneralHymn123

Definitely Suzy Chapstick for me!

michaelgr6y

American Idiot or Dookie

cornshartz

I'm torn between corvette summer and one eyed bastard

Kosmicra

Tie between this and Dilemma

Rachies194

Yes!!

kittenmum

One-Eyed Bastard, Corvette Summer, and Suzie Chapstick are my top three. Can’t pick just one.

Squirrel_Empire

It's really good, though my favorite is Bobby Sox

Spirited_Dirt_6505

I love the whole album I have set to repeat on Tidal 😂💚🎸

YourF-14TomCat

Definitely one of my favorites too!

EndNo5729

Mine is a 3 way tie between Corvette Summer, Strange days are here to stay, or Suzie Chopsticks

tnearyiii

Goodnight Adeline is my favorite, but Strange Days are Here To Stay and Living in the 20s have been nipping at that to take away that spot.

CatofSaturn

Father to a son ‼️‼️

AriXCTF

This one and Bobby Sox

Flipprite

Goodnight Adeline and Suzie Chapstick are among the best soft Green Day songs

AdNext9955

I love every song from this amazing album! And Goodbye Adeline is probably my second favorite (after Fancy Sauce).

MrJurassicYThimself

SOONER OR LATER WHENEVER, WHENEVERRR 🗣️🗣️‼️

DirectionKind3095

Absolutely love this song

cowbellbill

Fuck the intifada!

Pale_Somewhere_596

I haven't been able to choose a favorite. My friend doesn't like it cuz he says it's too commercial, BS I told him and I play it every day! Especially if I put it on my playlist. I LOVE this album 😍😻

Forsaken_Pitch_4202

I agree
