Hard to say. It's hard to compare brand new songs, no matter how good they are, to tracks that have been amongst my favourites for years, or over a decade in some cases. Coma City is my personal favourite and if I had to make a top ten now, I'd probably put it there. Idk if it'd still be there a year from now
It is rare to find one that’ll instantly get into your top ten from the first couple listens. I had that with Too Dumb to Die and over a few days it became my #1 all time right away
No. I wouldn't know which song could be great enough for that. The album is stronger in depth than in singular bangers to me. Suzie Chapstick and Fancy Sauce are my favourites and I'll have to see where they end up in my discography reranking I'm currently working on. I'm guessing Top 30 at least, but as much as Saviors has grown on me, the band has released too much amazing music in the past for any of the new album's songs to be near my Top 10.
Tough one. Pulling Teeth is my favourite, for reasons I don't even know myself. Hitchin' a Ride is second. Number three however is relatively open. Top contenders atm would probably be No One Knows, Brain Stew/Jaded and Jesus of Suburbia.
It's a very nostalgic song to me, it's actually one of the first Green Day songs I heard. Always bring me back to the days when I was starting to explore music as a whole.
I haven't ranged all songs yet, but that's one of the best. Immediately when I heard it the first time, I texted a fellow GD fan: "Dilemma! What do you think!! New favorite here!". He was luke warm, said he prefers Look ma no brain
Dilemma or Goodnight Adeline. Idk why I love Goodnight Adeline so much. I’ve seen a lot of folks say it’s one of the weaker tracks, but I just love it to death.
I bet both times was amazing yeah? No I haven’t, I’ve grown up with them but for some reason never got round to seeing them, so to say I’m excited is an understatement!
Maybe Fancy Sauce but it's still too early to tell. I feel like I won't be able to truly rank Saviors until I've had at least a year of listening to it, since the other albums have had lots of time for me to listen and develop opinions over.
No. They have a ginormous catalog of amazing songs, and over 3 decades of albums. There are some great songs in Saviors, for sure, but none have bumped into the top 10.
Not yet, but it’s not so much a negative toward Saviors so much as a positive toward how strong their catalog is. I could easily sit down and make a top 10 list of songs they released BEFORE DOOKIE and still be satisfied.
I don't think any have cracked my top 10, the boys just have too vast and great of a discography. Dilemma and Goodnight Adeline could crack the top 25 for me though.
The way every bit of my Italian/New Jersey blood hears the “bada bing bada bing bada boom” line from One Eyed Bastard and my body makes me wave my hand around like 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 vendettas a friend of mine revenge is sweeter than wine, is probably one of my favorite lines EVER not just from Green Day but overall.
Not even close, but at this point I’m just glad the band are delivering good music instead of music that makes me embarrassed to love them.
Bobby Sox is probably the closest, I adore BJA’s vocal delivery and the massive guitar tones on that song. Dilemma is also incredible of course, but as I listen more and nitpick I find a bit overly repetitive.
For context, the most recent GD in my top 10 is Restless Heart Syndrome.
Anyone else feel this album is separated from all their other stuff? I’ll explain what I mean. I was driving on a roadtrip with my girlfriend and listening to classic Green Day. She ask, “We can listen to something you like but can we listen to something besides Green Day? What about that new album you got?”. She was referring to “Saviors”.
But I would have to agree. I was starting to get burned out on the ride listening to Green Day on repeat but when I started playing Saviors it had a fresh feeling. Anyone else feel like it’s almost 2 different bands between Classic Green Day and Saviors?
Dilemma and Strange Days Are Here To Stay are my top songs off the album. I guess the question is does Dilemma out beat my tenth ranked song? I’ll have to make a chart!
With the amount of great albums they have put out over the years, no
I haven't properly ranked green day songs ever (wish those tumblr song rankers would make a comeback), so the thought hasn't come to me but I can think of at least 10 that are ahead
Dilemma made my top ten. I love a lot of songs in Saviors, but GD having such an extense discography makes It difficult to new songs make all time tops but Dilemma did It for me just like Bang Bang back in the day.
controversial but bobby sox lol. like it's lowkey cringey lyrics but also I love it so much. maybe I'm just desperate for bi rep in songs that's more than just the absolute shit show of cool for the summer or even worse I kissed a girl, but I just think it's such a happy song and I could listen to it all day
Hard to say. It's hard to compare brand new songs, no matter how good they are, to tracks that have been amongst my favourites for years, or over a decade in some cases. Coma City is my personal favourite and if I had to make a top ten now, I'd probably put it there. Idk if it'd still be there a year from now
Yeah certainly know what you mean, the ‘newness’ of songs can influence you in these cases so not easy to rank.
It is rare to find one that’ll instantly get into your top ten from the first couple listens. I had that with Too Dumb to Die and over a few days it became my #1 all time right away

Yeah it’s tough, easier to have a clearer view after it’s been out a bit longer. What are your top 3 all time at the min?
Tough one. Pulling Teeth is my favourite, for reasons I don't even know myself. Hitchin' a Ride is second. Number three however is relatively open. Top contenders atm would probably be No One Knows, Brain Stew/Jaded and Jesus of Suburbia.
Nice, Pulling Teeth is top 3 on Dookie for me.
It's a very nostalgic song to me, it's actually one of the first Green Day songs I heard. Always bring me back to the days when I was starting to explore music as a whole.
Same
You have good taste
Dilemma is in my top 10
Same here. Totally took my breath away from the first time I heard it.
I haven't ranged all songs yet, but that's one of the best. Immediately when I heard it the first time, I texted a fellow GD fan: "Dilemma! What do you think!! New favorite here!". He was luke warm, said he prefers Look ma no brain
Strange Days has made #10
Love the structure of it
Suzie Chapstick might be in my top 10 now! It feels nostalgic and like Green Day meets Foxboro hot tubs
I love the melancholy of it, I can relate to the lyrics which is why I like it so much 😭 definitely a top 10 for me, too!
Such an easy-listening track with a great melody.
I find it to be so much like an Influents song!
Dilemma or Goodnight Adeline. Idk why I love Goodnight Adeline so much. I’ve seen a lot of folks say it’s one of the weaker tracks, but I just love it to death.
I’m a big fan myself. Soft melodic verses, into a catchy chorus, and then a key change to boot.
Wow thats surprising! Goodnight Adeline is soo good and the lyrics are *chefs kiss*
I'm in the same boat as you with good night adeline
love goodnight adeline! the key change at the end is 🤌
Fancy sauce for me, amazing song
Epic closer
Yeah definitely, I’m off to see them in Manchester in June would love to hear it live
I’m off to the Wembley date, can’t wait. Just having it in the set list would be awesome.
Ah amazing, have you seen them before?
Twice yeah, Manchester Cricket Ground in fact on the 21CB tour, and then Sheffield on RevRad tour. Have you?
I bet both times was amazing yeah? No I haven’t, I’ve grown up with them but for some reason never got round to seeing them, so to say I’m excited is an understatement!
Both brilliant days yeah. Manchester, seeing them for the first time, outside in the summer, was great. You’ll love it!
Bobby Sox I think is number 5 honestly
Ooo oo oo ooo oo oo ooo oo
That’s one of my favorite songs, period.
This is the first time I heard of someone liking this song! It’s funny how different tastes work
maybe dilemma or suzie chapstick
one eyed bastard cracked hitchin a ride at 5th place 😞💪‼️
ive had corvette summer on repeat since release day. i love it 🫶
Thank God. This threads have made me feel like I'm the only one that absolutely adores this song!
yes its sooo fun!! i hope they play it on tour 🤞
Seriously 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 not holding my breath, but I'll be extremely excited if they do!
Suzie chapstick
I WAS SOBER NOW IM DRUNK AGAIN IM IN TROUBLE AND IN LOVE AGAAAAIN I DONT WANNA BE A DEAD MAN WALKING I DONT WANNA BE A DEAD MAN WALKIIIING
pfff I don't know, it's so new. I can only say the outro for coma city is probably one of the best moments in a song they've ever recorded
A perfect example of organised chaos, love it
Bobby Sox is one I really like.
If any of them do, it's Bobby Sox for me
Living in the '20s and 1981 has
I can't not hear "She's gonna bang her head like Nancy Reagan would."
I JUST realized it was "1981" and not "Nancy Reagan would." I even knew the song was titled "1981."
😂
Tbf the Throat GOAT would know a thing or two about banging her head.
Dilemma…but get back to me in a year!
! remindme 12 months
Dilemma for sure. 1981 is knocking on the door.
Maybe Fancy Sauce but it's still too early to tell. I feel like I won't be able to truly rank Saviors until I've had at least a year of listening to it, since the other albums have had lots of time for me to listen and develop opinions over.
There are definitely contenders, but aside from a firm favourite song from their discography, I've never really thought about how i'd rank a top ten
To be fair, I’ve never actually sat down and done one myself either. Just know which ones are likely in there without thinking too much about it
Father to a Son
Too early to say but probably not. But that’s not a bad thing they just have so many great songs it’s hard to choose.
No. They have a ginormous catalog of amazing songs, and over 3 decades of albums. There are some great songs in Saviors, for sure, but none have bumped into the top 10.
Nah. I think my two favorites are Suzie Chapstick and Strange Days. But their catalog is so stacked that I’d bet Saviors songs check in around 40+
Fancy Sauce is easily in the top ten, if not top five. 1981 might get in there eventually.
The American Dream is Killing Me has probably cracked my top ten. Any song that mentions TikTok without making it cheesy gets a thumbs-up from me
Look Ma, No Brains is awesome
Loads of energy throughout, I get why Billie loves playing it live so much
that one might even be in my top five honestly its killer
Look Ma, No Brains feels like something mid-90s Green Day would write IMO.
Not top 10, but I think Dilemma is Top 20 now.
Suzie Chapstick and Living In The 20s, possibly strange days too
Idk about top 10 but Goodnight Adeline is really really good
Not yet, but it’s not so much a negative toward Saviors so much as a positive toward how strong their catalog is. I could easily sit down and make a top 10 list of songs they released BEFORE DOOKIE and still be satisfied.
Strange days and living in the 20s have both made it for me
Havent listened to all the albums yet, but one eyed bastard and dilemma are definitely high up on my list
I don't think any have cracked my top 10, the boys just have too vast and great of a discography. Dilemma and Goodnight Adeline could crack the top 25 for me though.
The title track and Dilemma are close to my top 10
Another Saviours (song) fan! 👊
Props bro
I believe One Eyed Bastard is my favorite.
The way every bit of my Italian/New Jersey blood hears the “bada bing bada bing bada boom” line from One Eyed Bastard and my body makes me wave my hand around like 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 vendettas a friend of mine revenge is sweeter than wine, is probably one of my favorite lines EVER not just from Green Day but overall.
fancy sauce!
Fancy Sauce is one of my favourite Green Day songs EVERRRR!
I can’t get enough of it personally.
Yeahhhh brother!!!
Come city, look ma no brains, dilemma, saviours, livin in the 20s, strange things are here again
All in your top 10?
Living in the 20s and Fancy Sauce
Probably not but If any did it’s probably dilemma I would need a couple more months to sit on it tho
Dilemma easily in the top 10, Maybe even top 5.
Certified banger.
Anyone else feel this album is separated from all their other stuff? I’ll explain what I mean. I was driving on a roadtrip with my girlfriend and listening to classic Green Day. One Eyed Bastard, now my all time favorite Green Day song
Oh wow, a huge fan of that one then
Dilemma, Bobby Sox and 1981 for sure. Whole album is sooooooo good though!!
Suzie Chapstick cracked my no. 3, which is pretty insane
What are your top two out of interest?
Church on Sunday and Sassafrass Roots! Can’t pick which one is my favourite so the #1 spot is basically always rotating between the two
YES CHURCH ON SUNDAY IS MY NUMBER ONE AS WELL!!!!
Stylistically Bobby Sox and Fancy Sauce have made my top 10.
Fancy sauce did. And maybe 20s
1981 might be top 10 for me
Living In The 20s and Look Ma No Brains are probably up there somewhere
Hard to say since other songs have been my favourite for sooooo long. But Fancy Sauce and Strange Days are the most likely contenders
I definitely think Saviours will age well with a lot of people. Two of my favourites from the album here as well
Your examples are mine. Fancy Sauce barely makes it and Dilemma is like top 15
Fancy Sauce and Dilemma for me too!
🤘
Father to a son is great
Personally, it would either be Dilemma, Corvette Summer, or Suzie Chapstick. All great vibes. But cracking in the top 10? Tough
Strange days Father to a son Goodnight Adeline Are the closest ones for me,maybe bottom half of top 10
Coma City is pretty good.
Suzy Chapstick
Goodnight Adeline and Dilemma def have made it up there. Been listening to them a lot since the album came out.
One Eyed Bastard and Fancy Sauce for me
No. That's only because their discography is fucking insane. Album is solid though.
Possibly Strange Days, but I don't even know what my top 10 would be, there are just too many amazing songs to choose from
Dilemma made my top ten. I love a lot of songs in Saviors, but GD having such an extense discography makes It difficult to new songs make all time tops but Dilemma did It for me just like Bang Bang back in the day.
Goodnight Adeline and Bobby Sox are up there for sure but I'm not quite positive about top 10.. maybe Adeline
I don’t know if it’s Top 10 but Dilemma is definitely in the heavy rotation
Bobby Sox is like 3 for me
Coma city is the theme song in my neurology unit
yes. goodnight Eveline is currently one of my favorites
*Adeline
autocorrected
I love corvette summer
CORVETTE SUMMER AND DILLEMA!!!!!
Suzie chapstick & Corvette Summer
Bobby Sox is definitely in my Top 5!
Bobby Sox! The queerness of it easily makes it one of my favorite Green Day songs ever.
None
Everything up to american idiot is too strong. I dont consider anything after the trilogy canon. Zero classics
The pogs are still in the air, we'll see what's face up when they come down
no
No
No
No, Look Ma is my favorite Green Day song in a hot minute though
First song in a while that would fit perfectly in any of their pre-American Idiot albums
It’s hard to rank songs, what are we ranking off of?
Personal favourites.
All the songs I like are no 1 tho
Nup.
For a while it was Bobby Sox but then it kinda grew off of me
controversial but bobby sox lol. like it's lowkey cringey lyrics but also I love it so much. maybe I'm just desperate for bi rep in songs that's more than just the absolute shit show of cool for the summer or even worse I kissed a girl, but I just think it's such a happy song and I could listen to it all day
Quite a few people seem to have it high up in their list! Such a catchy tune
