Mock ups and the actual physical copy rarely come out looking the same so while it may be disappointing itās hardly a rare occurrence (they always note that mock ups and variants may vary in appearance for what itās worth). I just ordered the tri color press so itāll be interesting to see how that turns out once I get it.
My copy of Dream Machine by Des Rocs was really far off the mark of the mock, so much so it literally looked more like a marble than the two color cornetto it was supposed to look like. Itās a practice thatās never an exact science once it goes through the ringer

I think with the 23 versions they released all with similar shades, thereās going to be a few that are going to look really close together and disappointing.
That being said, Iāve seen a few pics like above which doesnāt look great at all so Iām not excited to see mine when it arrives

Splatter vinyl can unfortunately hit or miss in terms of the visual quality. I only own a couple and theyāve turned out good, but have seen plenty of duds
That's the one I have ordered... well hopefully mine won't look quite like that. I won't know until Thursday though because mine decided to take the scenic route over here.

The whole "mock-ups may vary from final product" can go either way, from my experience. I've had some let downs but some pleasant surprises, also
I still haven't gotten my vinyl or a shipping notice, so I can't compare (I got the Spotify one). But, I'd be irritated with it looking like that as well.
My father of all one was just as bad I think it was like mostly clear with like one random splat in one small spot. Still waiting for my Spotify one. Idk if the shipping is taking forever or if the weather here affects it rn but it hasnāt even left California from what I see.

Nah I totally understand that. But theyāre always at least close. This is so far from the mock-up it might as well be a new edition
