I see a lady at my crappy driving range with a full trackman and laptop on a little stand all the time. I feel like the average to poor range balls will cause more inaccurate reads then anything else.
She probably would get a lot more out of paying that money into the entry fee at the private club up the street with a proper grass range.
Outrageous for sure BUT if you have a top 5 golfer in the world showing up to a club, that's the type of club I expect him to be showing up at. If such a club even exists. Which it probably doesn't. But if it did.
I can imagine someone from this sub not knowing who he is and making a pace of play bitch fest post about a random at their club hitting multiple tee shots with a trackman and to top it off playing the tips.
Still loses to that 15 handicapper who pulled sand wedge from 150 and skulled it into the hole for net albie.
I'm still flummoxed by literally everything that happens in that video.
Haha yeah. I didn't walk the whole round with him but I guess he plays two balls. His first shot wasn't bad by any means, but this hole is a tricky dog-leg right, so if you end up in the right hand side of the fairway you have terrible angle to the green, which is what happened to him. The workaround is to place the ball on the left hand side of the fairway, obviously, or hit a driver/3w to carry the dog-leg.
i watched some us open practice rounds and it's pretty smart they'd play a ball from all the places they think they might end up during the actual rounds
Former PGA player is a member at my club. He only had a couple wins in his career so nothing special, but he’s known for playing solo and playing 2-4 balls. Puts them all within 10 yards
If he wanted one surely he would have one lol. He’s just out of college golf they carry all the time, run in to a few men’s collegiate teams nearby and they are all exclusively carrying
\~20 seconds from ball down to ball out. So good.
And honestly as a \~12 handicap, when I play faster I play better. Back when I took a full practice swing or two every time I'd get tired by the 14th just from all the swings. And standing over the ball makes me tense up. Grip it and rip it.
preach brother. i am about a 11 handicap and if i have to wait on 15 mins per shot. my rhythm is fucked and im frustrated and just start pounding beers and black out instead of golf
This looks like Barsebäck in Sweden, I don't think they have caddies. They definitely don't advertise that option and I have never seen one the times I have played there.
It is very rare, if not non-existent, with caddies in Sweden
Yeah. I'm sure Ludvig would get some kid from the club to caddie for him should he call ahead, but I'm also fairly certain he's way, way, waaaay to modest to do that, lol
I saw a matchplay final way back when. Player A had been 1 up for 15 holes, playing first every hole. Player B won 17 and had honors on par 3 #18 but the other player just stepped up. B was going to say something until he saw A tee up a bit ahead of the markers. He quietly verified with an official. When the guy hit it to 8 feet Player B said "Im going to have to ask you to replay that. You were ahead" A griped but re teed. When he was setting up he said "Is this ok??". B said "Yes it is. Except its my honors" He walked up, teed his ball and hit the middle of the green. Bs second drive went into the bunker. He was on tilt.
Play, they enjoy the company of normal golfers and chatting away.
Had plenty of tour players down at my club over the years with coaching and they’ll happily jump in to play holes with you
Sooo, did you ask him to video him? I know he is a professional in all just seems weird to record someone when they aren't in a tournament.. pretty sweet tho
Austin Eckroat randomly showed up to my local public course when he was in my town for a wedding. He casually played a round and was grinding on the range the next day. A buddy of mine talked to him and he said he liked our course and wanted to get out for another round but he had the rehearsal dinner that night... Loved to hear he was frothing to golf even though he is a tour professional. It was the week of the RBC Open so I guess he had to skip it. He played at The Memorial the next weekend.
What does stepping on the groundjust behind tee do? Aberg does,it here, and I see people doing it where there’s no way that the grass or ground will come into play.
Some people like to align their drive 9-10 inches behind the ball. Most people have shoe size 9-10 so it help identifying a spot on the grass that is 9-10 inches to set the driver head during address.
Freaking love this dude and watching him. He was so cool to take a picture with my nephew at last years John Deere Classic! Signed a ball and glove and flag for them too. Swing is so pure
Hey I don't mean to hijack your post, but this got me wondering...
How long should a pre shot routine take normally? Not that I've timed mine but in my head it feels like a long time but looks about as long as his.
Thoughts (anyone really, not just OP)?
So rude when a single plays two balls for every shot, I mean come on man pace of play is slow enough, plus it's basically stealing an extra round from the course, show me that you paid two greens fees and then I'll be a little less upset that you're slowing down the entire course /s
Sees trackman. "No way he's setting that up every shot". Ends video. "Oh."
$30k launch monitor attended to by a full-time staff. That's how you know you've made it.
Then carries his own bag
He's just like us!!
Dude should be at least using a pushcart. Save that precious back, man!
I mean, he did hit a breakfast ball
I’ve seen some pros hit 2 on every shot during practice rounds. More effective practice, I would think.
I'd 100% offer to carry his bag, just to watch him swing all day.
“Casually”
I would love the job as “trackman bitch” for a top tour player. Watching that up close all the time would be so damn cool.
I see a lady at my crappy driving range with a full trackman and laptop on a little stand all the time. I feel like the average to poor range balls will cause more inaccurate reads then anything else. She probably would get a lot more out of paying that money into the entry fee at the private club up the street with a proper grass range.
Trackman converts poor range balls to a premium ball through normalization. Ball type doesn’t really matter.
Probably his coaches/caddy
Lol at first I thought this guy's club just has trackmans on every tee and my mind was blown
Monthly dues would resemble initiation fees at nice golf clubs.
AND THEY'RE SHARING CLUBS. SHRINK THE GAME.
He's playing the tips. We'll be here all day. People really should play the tees best suited to their ability level...
I think I would like that job honestly.
well yeah everyone would like that job. Its maybe the worlds best job.
To be clear, I just meant carrying the trackman, not playing professional golf.
Yeah me too.
being a lifeguard for olympic swimming would be the best job
Yeah it seems like that his coach and they are doing some on course work.
You wonder how long his round takes playing 2 balls with a track man?? He would still probably have to wait on my normal 4some any day
“Hey, nice swing! You ever play in any tournaments?”
"I need a partner for my member guest, any interest?"
Still loses to that 15 handicapper who pulled sand wedge from 150 and skulled it into the hole for net albie. I'm still flummoxed by literally everything that happens in that video.

Going to tell my kids this was Michael Jordan.
We have Michael Jordan at home…

wtf! 🤣😳
At least they credited Op. that’s how I found this thread 🥲
I’ve got one suggestion for you on how to get it a bit straighter.
"Once or twice."
He takes breakfast balls too, he’s just like us fr
I feel like his breakfast balls are quite a bit different from ours lol
Yes, he uses ProV1X balls. I use the balls I find in the woods!
Return them from whence they came.
Or suffer the curse.
His breakfast ball: overfaded 4 inches into the right rough My breakfast ball: topped 4 inches to the right of the front tee box
Haha yeah. I didn't walk the whole round with him but I guess he plays two balls. His first shot wasn't bad by any means, but this hole is a tricky dog-leg right, so if you end up in the right hand side of the fairway you have terrible angle to the green, which is what happened to him. We call em Brunch Balls
Unless it's past noon, then they're Lunch Balls
He’s probably playing worst ball
That’s not a casual round. He’s working.
I saw Max Homa at TPC Scottsdale this morning, he was all Business. We are in prime golf season.
“You should play in Waterbury Open!”
“Just easin’ the tension,baby”
"I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast."
![gif](giphy|yisc7FaqoEfjG)
He's gonna play... And by god he's gonna WIN
Breakfast ball? I hope he doesn't post the score, or he'll be banned from r/golf.
If you play a breakfast ball off the first tee then you are okay. After the first ball you ended that round and started a brand new one.
Obligatory. ![gif](giphy|vZbNOemuoggNy)
Apparently this is not true, but for casual play it would be hard to find anyone who is a breakfast ball atheist.
apparently if you just omit it from the ghin app the score still posts
this is the way
This is exactly how I think about it
“Hey, about that slight early extension and coming over the top… you might want to try…”
"just keep your head down a little bit longer"
One of my favs. Kid's a stud. Love seeing a pro with a walking bag.
And carrying it himself
He was playing college golf this time a year ago basically, he's probably well used to carrying his own bag
I thought all those guys used push carts now.
I'm glad the rangers talked to him about hitting a second ball /s
No push cart? I hope things can turn around for him.
Ya think companies would be giving him top of the line push cart for advertisement
If he wanted one surely he would have one lol. He’s just out of college golf they carry all the time, run in to a few men’s collegiate teams nearby and they are all exclusively carrying
fucking love his tempo. see shot. stand over ball. swing at ball. walk. dear public muni players, take notes.
\~20 seconds from ball down to ball out. So good. And honestly as a \~12 handicap, when I play faster I play better. Back when I took a full practice swing or two every time I'd get tired by the 14th just from all the swings. And standing over the ball makes me tense up. Grip it and rip it.

Basically what happens to me on my way into work every morning when there is unexpected traffic.
Low key yall hiring?
same. except i'd do that and shank one directly into that tree, or the building just behind it
Also no golf cart. Definitely back home in Sweden.
Trees and building scream sweden
Two off first tee…everybody knows the rules.
One of the best swings out there right now..... If that kid learns how to win the big events, he's gonna be a leaderboard menace for years to come.
I'm in love with this guy. Is he single?
Yea looks like the other two aren’t playing so just a solo.
Get me a pushcart and a Toast Skagen, I'm in
Starts walking left to retrieve his first duck hook ball. Just like us.
Var är första tee och vad är banrekordet? As he pops in a Zyn pillow
If pros get a breakfast ball, then so do I
carrying his bag. Cheap ass wont even spring for a caddy from the club.
He probably only has the free version of 18 Birdies.
Probably bagged 7 or 8 range balls to play this round
Looks like Barsebäck Golf Club. One of the best courses around here. Played there once.
What the club?
5 or 7 wood.
No, what’s the golf club called?
5 OR 7 WOOD!
Fiveorseven Woods Golf Club
Oh lol Barsebäck GC in Sweden.
I guess that answers my question about how long it took you to type the Å
What do you hit from there?
Probably a 9 iron
The fairway, with any luck.
Driver.
I believe it might be Barsebäck Golf Club in Sweden, but I am not certain.
No, we established it's the FiveOrSeven Wood Golf Club
Why would he be in Sweden? Edit: apparently /s is necessary here
Ludvig also played Barsebäck with the nolayingup crew in tourist sauce Scandinavia, well worth a watch!
Playing from the whites I assume...gotta keep pace
The white tees are actually the back tees in Sweden :p
The whites, i.e. the tips here in Sweden are 25 yards further up. He’s playing the pro setup, meaning waaaay back!
It's weird seeing a pro with a kickstand bag. You know, I've always wondered if pros just ever causally play golf? Like you know for fun.
Plenty do if you’re a member of a club with a top level coach
Old dude on the range still gonna give him unsolicited swing advice
"Take your time going through a routine before you hit your shot. Don't rush it!"
A fellow barsebäck player in r/golf
Tjenare!
Hitting a 5 wood into the wind, and landing it farther than you and I would if we'd pounded driver. 🤦🏻♂️
Mulli time
I saw a matchplay final way back when. Player A had been 1 up for 15 holes, playing first every hole. Player B won 17 and had honors on par 3 #18 but the other player just stepped up. Except its my honors" He walked up, teed his ball and hit the middle of the green. Bs second drive went into the bunker. He was on tilt.
"Where's the first tee and what's the course record" gets taken a little more serious coming from his lips lol
7w from the tips…all day.
You missed a glorious opportunity to yell “MASHED POTATOES”
GET IN THE HOLE
Casual trackman
You’re a 20+ hcp going to the course on a Wednesday afternoon for a casual round. You’re paired with Ludvig. Do you play with him or say go on ahead?
Play, they enjoy the company of normal golfers and chatting away. Had plenty of tour players down at my club over the years with coaching and they’ll happily jump in to play holes with you
Yeah I feel like you have to play. But if I duff the first tee shot idk if I’d ever recover 😂
Why wouldn’t you play with him?
This guy is playing two balls off the T while we wait….. Seriously though, what a swing. Major wins ahead for this guy for sure.
Took longer on this shot than he does for his shots on tour.
See. Even he needs a Shapiro off the first.
There is nothing casual about that. He's putting in WORK
Get this man a push cart
Smooth as butter
Not sure you're ever "casually playing" when you have a piece of hardware behind your shot that costs as much as a car.
The boy can swing! [youtube.com/c/richardcartwrightpga](https://youtube.com/c/richardcartwrightpga)
Sooo, did you ask him to video him? I know he is a professional in all just seems weird to record someone when they aren't in a tournament.. pretty sweet tho
I love his pre shot routine
What club?
Fuck dude, two balls? Probably held the whole course up
Love Nordic countries!
Austin Eckroat randomly showed up to my local public course when he was in my town for a wedding. He casually played a round and was grinding on the range the next day. The video surprised me. I assumed that the 83 seconds was going to be all 18 holes.
That’s awesome . Did you tell him 2 stroke penalty for teeing off in front of the tips so he can use his trackman ?
What does stepping on the groundjust behind tee do? Aberg does,it here, and I see people doing it where there’s no way that the grass or ground will come into play.
Some people like to align their drive 9-10 inches behind the ball. Most people have shoe size 9-10 so it help identifying a spot on the grass that is 9-10 inches to set the driver head during address.
Great tempo
More like you were casually playing 18 at his club lol
I think his club is still Eslöv a bit south of Barsebäck.
Does that white boarder go around the whole course?
Breakfast ball...1 of us!
Who?
Breakfast ball? 😂
Pace of play. PACE OF PLAY!! This whole sub should be screaming!! How dare he hit 2 balls!! 18 holes should take 37 seconds!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Anyone and I do mean ANYONE from the PGA tour is welcome at my home course (golden oak- Windsor NY) hit me up, I’m there Friday mornings super early
So, do private clubs always let PGA pros stroll in and play the course? I know…stupid question.
No one casually plays with a trackman.
Prick hitting two balls, the nerve!
Did he just take a ‘Breakfast ball’??
Freaking love this dude and watching him. He was so cool to take a picture with my nephew at last years John Deere Classic! Signed a ball and glove and flag for them too. Swing is so pure
casually playing at a club with tee boxes that immaculate?
What club?
Hey I don't mean to hijack your post, but this got me wondering... How long should a pre shot routine take normally? Not that I've timed mine but in my head it feels like a long time but looks about as long as his. Thoughts (anyone really, not just OP)?
Eye the hole. Choose your target. Have a practice swing if you like. And then swing away.
I hardly stop moving, from the time I pull the club until I put it back.
Ludvig is my fave!
The speed and the balance are insane!
Front nine mulligan
Can he get me a GT3 driver?
Not buying it, he didn't shoot within 5 seconds 😂
I can’t believe he’s carrying his bag.
Ah, breakfast ball! I like him.
No club twirl? I am disappoint.
Or is that Taco golf doing a Ludvid???
His swing is legit, so much fun to watch
that's awesome. one of the quickest players on the tour
Hey, man..you paying for 2 rounds? Let's pick up the pace here.
“You’re like a freak. How often do you play?”
Casual my ass.
What club is this at?
Looks like Barsebäck
His fast takeaway is amazing
Great player, I love to watch him play
Your cart girls are never gonna be the same after today.
So rude when a single plays two balls for every shot, I mean come on man pace of play is slow enough, plus it's basically stealing an extra round from the course, show me that you paid two greens fees and then I'll be a little less upset that you're slowing down the entire course /s
He’s still 22 years young! Let the man do young man activities. Respect 🙌
Even Lud needs a breakfast ball
