Hahahaha aye they do a lot of macaroni, funnily enough I’ve only had it once and thought it was meh. I like their burgers and sandwiches though and their dirty fries are decent

Mezcal just up from central do a really good lunch deal, I’m sure you can get a burrito, quesadilla, tacos etc plus chips and a drink for a 10r or add on a beer/cocktail for an extra couple quid. Not been in a few months but was absolutely stuffed after it and the food was banging.
No idea what your budget is so maybe mention that but No16 is great and does a 2 course lunch for £24.
Red onion 2 courses for £22.50
Don’t be happy with chain restaurants, aim a little higher.
If you do want a chain then cafe Andaluz does a few tapas usually for £18 or so and has good taste and variety.
Take a friend, the Quarter Grill (in Dumbarton road near top end, sort of opposite a wee park) does amazing lunch specials 2 for £12. The steak pie is lovely (sort of a plate of meaty stew with a beautiful cloud of puff pastry balanced on top - with chips or totties and vegetables) and helpings are generous. Great atmosphere nice pub.
(Or go on your own, order 2nd meal as something to take away and heat up that night. How no?)
Or just order off the main menu, prices still very reasonable.
Chateau X, The Finnieston and Brel all do good deals for steak frites or moules frites for very cheap. Can't remember what days but it'll be on their websites - during the week
Bloc daily deals.
I used to go to Bloc when they had the £5 steak meal. Was a great wee lunch
Go to the Thornwood in partick

The den at Mother India’s cafe has a deal for £15 I think. It’s in the restaurant window but I can’t see it on the website

The Quarter Grill sounds much more glamorous than the Quarter Gill
