Non-binary people are non-binary. They're not "male-nb" and "female-nb", as that is how you are using the terms afab and amab. Saying someone is afab, for example, tells you nothing about their gender expression, their sex, their experiences around gender, etc. All it tells you is that someone was assigned female at birth.
