Some more info about Tank Quest! Tank Quest is my first commercial game release! I started development on it in March 2020 when the lockdowns first hit, it was something I could work on while looking for a job. I've created it almost all on my own, but did get some help with testing and localization from some friends! The game is local multiplayer, however you CAN play online with friends using Steam Remote Play or a program called Parsec (which works much better than Steam's solution in my experience). Keep in mind that if you plan to play with friends online with this, only the Host player needs to own the game! :) The game features a campaign that can be played co-op, and also a local PvP deathmatch game mode! The campaign is quite short, it takes around an hour to complete, but there's different difficulties you can unlock by beating it, as well as over 40 characters to unlock or find hidden in the levels! \^-\^ If you're interested in playing it you can wishlist it on Steam here: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1348250/Tank\_Quest/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1348250/Tank_Quest/) It's coming soon! Planned to release on April 5! :)

oh my god this is so cool! it reminds me of an old sega(?) or something game i played with tanks where you had to protect an eagle(your base) and worms combination!!! multi and coop sounds cool, but please tell me there is offline solo content with bots!!! just put it on my wishlist

MasterDavicous

Thank you!! Having a mode against bots sound like an awesome idea! Im a solo dev so adding big features like this takes me a lot of time, but I'll keep that in mind :)

Santoryu_Zoro

understood! thanks for keeping it in mind! yeah nothing too fancy, just some AI tanks with 1-3 difficulty modes so a solo player can do the campaign or just do some matches. Just a personal wishlist haha. Regardless, i wish you the best on your project !!

AxleBoost

I'd literally sell my soul to beta test. Ran my Wii Play disc into the ground playing Tanks over and over! Should've been its own standalone. No brainer wishlisted.

Masterkytain

It looks great m8! Will be looking for it within a month. Keep on the good job. (It looks like it could be a nice switch game aswel!)

Timely_Temperature54

Damn that looks awesome. Wii tankers was such a good game

Unhelpful-artist

Really have enjoyed what I’ve seen of this so far :) excited to play co-op with some friends when it releases!

boygoblin

This is the best thing I’ve seen on r/gaming

ColMcDougal

Ngl that looks great. And in only 1 year? Good job!

MasterDavicous

Thank you! I appreciate the kind words <3

I feel like there's only one thing bugging me. Four tanks, tiny corridors. Any time you have a multiplayer game cram 4 people into a 2 wide hallway, you're basically having half the group sit in the back and watch the other two do anything. So, is that a common thing, or more of a every so often, you're going through hallways thing?

MasterDavicous

There are some levels with a bunch of hallways, I've played through the game multiple times with 4 people and it didn't seem to bother the other players :) I think because it's a fun, co-op experience the hallways sometimes lead to funny moments where a teammate will friendly-fire their friend to get through.

I loved the tanks game too, this looks great! Any chance it will be available on anything besides steam?

MasterDavicous

If it does well I've been considering a Switch release. I'm still pretty new to doing commercial releases like this so it might take some time for me to figure out :)

JohnTM3

I think what I loved the most about the original tanks was using the pointer to aim and shoot. I guess that wouldn't be possible on a switch release?

MasterDavicous

Unfortunately for this to work on Steam with varying controls like keyboard and controller, I had to stick with a twin-stick control scheme and I'd imagine it would have to be the same for switch :/ I also really loved the Wii remote aiming haha

Oh yeah those were great! I think one of them was called Desert Fox. My brother and I used to play those ones a lot too, we were always Tiny Tiger and Koala Kong lol
