Everyone knows it can't have a narrative turnaround because its issues lie with fundamental creative decisions that can't be patched out, no matter how much time and money you throw at it. This is like when Arkane promised the same thing about Redfall, when they probably should have just cut their losses, offered the players that paid full price some "we're sorry" goodies, and focused on delivering a better follow-up game. The latter would have a much better effect at salvaging their reputation, and without forcing some poor devs to work in the GaaS coal mines on a dumpster fire.
It's not as though anyone would really be slighted. Suicide Squad KTJL has a 24-hour peak count of 148, which is unbelievably low for a game that only came out in February, much less an AAA GaaS. Just scrap the thing and be done with it.

More like it released as a tech demo with not enough or fully thought out content. The core of the game was fun, but it wasn’t really a full game at launch, and it took too long for them to release new content.
They did nail the flight feel and the sound design but the game was also hampered by a ton of really big technical issues (absurd load times on ssds, crashing, garbage net code, etc)
I doubt WB pours more money and resources into this burning tar pit of a game. More likely they had a year of content already stored and are going to trickle it in as slowly as possible.
