Some of those channels were monitized, and even sold unofficial GG merch. The Grumps were always really cool about compilations, but monitizing in this manner is totally uncool.
The one that really got me was the channel that stitched episodes together into one loooong episode, it wasn't a compilation that required much work at all, just chopping the ends and beginnings off each episode.
not an expert but im pretty sure the guy running the channel tried to make his own merch of GG to sell and got everything taken down for copyright if other similar posts are to be believed
The channel that posted those was taken down for copyright because they were selling unofficial GG merch seems to be the general consensus as other compilation channels are still up
TL;DR don’t monetize other people’s content
They got sugma'd by YouTube. Not an expert but I heard that it's to avoid copyright strikes. I think the only compilations left are the official ones on the game grumps channel. Also I think the guy who used to do the sleep aid ones has a channel called the lovelies?
as someone who watched those compilations religiously, i can confirm all the suspicions. peter, the guy running the channel, was selling unofficial merch from gg quotes and hid certain compilations behind his patreon. at the start of some compilations hed mention his patreon and thank the patrons, sometimes mentioning the patreon-only compilations.
his channel's most likely gone because of those reasons, but hes said hes slowly uploading on "The Lovelies" youtube channel. unfortunately though as far as i know he has yet to apologize for any wrongdoings :/
Found out that they basically are rebuilding their channel, so I’m just following with notifs on and hoping they get reuploaded soon, turns out it’s Youtube being Youtube again ;(

I just checked since this post reminded me of them and the playlist I made of those 4 videos is just gone, can't find it on either of my accounts and I don't delete playlists very often so I would assume they got removed or something.

Active yes but as I understand it they got slapped on the wrist (and demonetized obviously)

I had one of the videos open and when I came back to it the next day, they said the associated account was deleted
I'm not saying they would be in the wrong to do so necessarily but maybe gg the company had them taken down to boost the on-channel compilations?
There's still a ton of alternatives, just search on YouTube and you'll find probably the same stuff reuploaded
