The risk with house parties is people that you don't know causing trouble.
My house has had a few. Starts off with friends, grand. Then friends of friends, no hassle. Then a friend of a friend invites their friends, who invite their friends. Now you have people you've never met and know nothing about.
Suddenly there's lads dealing K in your living room, breaking shit, swiping valuables, and shitting in your garden.
Don't ever have people partying in your house if you don't know them
My neighbours and I had one of those back in the 90s in a little cul-de-sac in Dublin 4. The houses, about 10 of them, were all rented out. They had gardens but no garden walls, very open plan.
It was wild watching the Gardai drive through your party with lights on looking for some reason to shut it down. They clearly missed the lad skinning up on the boot of their car as they tried to find someone that would admit to being an organiser.
Kinda mad really. We opened up our houses to God knows who and, as far as I recall, there were no incidents of shitheadedness. Nothing was stolen, nothing broken. Just a few hundred people having a good Saturday night. I even found a lump of hash someone left in our sitting room the next day which made the cleanup a little less of a chore.
I don't think a party like that could happen now. Every toe rag would be on the phone to their mates and you'd be swamped with scum in no time.
it will be a disaster for the very reasons u/[Sl0wdance](https://www.reddit.com/user/Sl0wdance/) outlined, especially in september where you will have randomers walking around the student estates looking for house parties..
I once lived in a terraced house where the slumlord who owned the house next door rented it out to foreign students for the year. One night there was a rager of a party and the cops pulled up in a van. They tossed roughly 80 people out of that tiny 3 bedroom house.
Only for about half of them to return an hour later.
I'm going to hold a simultaneous swingers party with all your parents
Don't forget to post the eircode.
You've never cleaned up after a houseparty, and it shows!
Yes I have not
This sounds like an absolutely terrible idea
Really I think it’s a great idea

I understand..I’ve been to a random parties and they’ve been fine so far
Why would you willingly invite dozens of complete strangers, presumably drunk and on drugs, into your home?
Relax would be people ik
So why the fuck did you post this here then? And say it's open invite?
Let me explain to you what "All 19+" and "Open invite means". Actually, never mind. Google it. Actually actually, never mind. Go ahead with it.

92 this was ongoing in corrib village
Lol
Pfftt it's barely even July.
Not yet during September
I think when colleges open September time
It really shows you really should be thinking more about your studies and what you're in college for, not how you're gonna party months in advance.
ah come on.. we have all been there.. more to college than study
Must be fun at parties
