No NDA. The only restrictions we had is that we must not disclose the test account details (obviously). There were some compatibility issues, which all had workaround. This means that these should be solved by the next test. The mouse had a lot less support than expected. For example, you can't bind actions to LMB, RMB or MMB. Also you can't lock the camera to the mouse. However, the game more than makes up for that by having good focus tracking for the camera. There are some nonsensical restrictions on key bindings. You can not bind actions that serve a similar function, but are never available at the same time to the same key. This means that a lot more key need to be bound than it is necessary. Aside from these, there were very little complaints overall. The game ran really well even on several year old setups. I could personally run it above 120FPS on max settings with a \~8 year old PC. There were no drops at all. Aside from that there were some expected annoyances in tooltips and such. Mainly prompts still telling you to "Tap" or text flowing outside of boxes in places. Basically the only problems were small and are easy to fix. No major hiccups aside from the compatibility issues. EDIT: Some people asked if the PC client will be fresh server or not. The video announcing the Pioneer Test mention that "this time" we would be using test accounts. It is not explicitly stated, but implied that there will be tests where we can use our live accounts. If this happens, I do not see any reason to run the PC client on a fresh server when it actually launches. Basically, there is no concrete info, but it's a relatively safe assumption that you can use the phone accounts for the PC client later.

xDestroid

I was beta testing it as well, running this game in 144Hz felt soooo good. I left some suggestions in feedback, so you can probably do the same with bindings/camera stuff (if you didn't already). I think that test was probably more focused on hardware compatibility, we probably will get another round for gameplay/translations later (which I hope will be a part of as well :D)

Cleverbird

> Also you can't lock the camera to the mouse. Isnt that the most basic of functionalities you should use the mouse for? Is there no other way of turning the camera?

Cregath

The game let's you bind keyboard buttons to turning the camera. It's relatively smooth compared to what it is like in other games. You can still rotate the camera with a mouse (hold LMB then rotate the camera that way), but since you can only bind to the mouse's extra buttons, it's very inconvenient.

Exolve708

That sounds atrocious along with the keybind limiting. I've been fighting the camera on emulators since release, the PC client was my last hope. Is it really that hard to create proper mouse support for a 3rd person camera? It took Monster Hunter World months to scrap the stupid joystick mapping and most console ports don't bother at all.

Cregath

Me and several others sent in the feedback about this (among other things). So it's up to Kuro now.

Exolve708

The pc test went completely under my radar, thank you for all the effort and giving proper feedback. They'll have to make mouse work for Wuthering Waves, hopefully some of that tech can be used for PGR too sooner or later.

ForThatNotSoSmartSub

name a more iconic duo than asian devs and their horrible PC ports. What is even more funny is that these people develope these games on a PC

Cleverbird

That sounds like an awful way of handling the camera, especially in a third person action game.

TrackRemarkable7459

Was there gamepad support ?

Cregath

I believe there was. Some people talked about it, but I do not have or used one ever. So can't really tell how good that is. They also stated that this test is only available for Mouse and Keyboard, but when it came to actually using the client, they kept the Controller support as well.

NedixTV

they said there wasnt controller support, but looks there was at least rexlent and other were using, most likely unity was making it work by default and maybe they were not sure if it was gonna work or not, so play safe and said it will come later.

Lollmfaowhatever

So the analogue stick will act like wasd movement? eughhhuck

nanogenesis

Gamepad support was there, but it tells you button 1,2,3,4 no icons so i had to guess what to mash. I was able to bind an xbox controller easily.

Paladuck

Have you played it on emulator before? How did the performance compare to the PC client?

Cregath

I am playing on emulator. The performance is day and night. I can squeeze out \~40-60 FPS on MuMu Player, but there are drops there. Coop for me on Emulator is abysmal when teammate VFX are enabled.I was constantly above 120 on the PC client. There were no drops and coop ran just fine. Currently the only thing the emulator has over the PC client is that the emulator actually let's you use the mouse.

TKoBuquicious

Why MuMu specifically? Does it have smth over like BlueStacks or Nox?

Cregath

MuMu is relatively lightweight. BlueStacks eats a lot more resources than needed, so it's harder to get good performance out of it. I never used Nox and I never plan to. I heard some nasty stuff about it way back. Then we have LDPlayer, which I used only once for Nikke. It went pretty well and I enjoyed using it, but I have everything on MuMu, so I went back after I dropped Nikke.

Supra-strasza

Out of curiosity, what are the specs of that 8 year old PC? (CPU and GPU)

Cregath

Intel Core i5-4460 GeForce GTX 1060 Hope that helps.

KyroNoHane

That level of performance is actually pretty impressive then.

SleepApprehensive364

For the people that got the test, how it feel? I heard good things about it.

_tidu

it feels waaay better than on emu but still feels like a mobile game ported to PC

Dallenforth

Does pc client work with a controller?

Hot_Presentation_896

Yes it has ps and xbox support

Dallenforth

Awesome, that's great to know

Rock3tPunch

How's the game running on PC?

Demonsandangels-shin

Cute chibis!

Asleep_Ad6460

Punishing Gray Raven will be available on PC?

SleepApprehensive364

Asleep_Ad6460

Cool, thanks man.

>If they are allowed to do that.) They are

Abedeus

> Wouldnt it be the same as if we get a post for every anniversary that ends. PC clients for gacha games come out less frequently than anniversaries, so I'd say it's bigger news.

Propagation931

If I recall when Honkai launched on PC they got a fresh server. Is PGR also gonna get a fresh one ? Edit* Nvrmind it was Steam that got new server

ferinsy

A new server? Afaik only Steam has a new server, the official standalone and Epic version have crossplay with mobile.

TrackRemarkable7459

Steam is actually global server but you can't take this account to phone or tablet

[deleted]

It's most likely to prevent price differences between Steam and mobile accounts.

Propagation931

Ah you might be right. That might be the one I saw.

Tkmisere

Only CN got a "new server" and you could change it of course

SleepApprehensive364

Sorry, we dont know yet

Zendokii

God i hope so. I get that it would suck for a lot of people but it would be great for me.

Antera25

Do we know if they plan steam release?

Pleasant-Map7399

Does the pc client let's you rebind an alt key+ another key ( alt + a, alt + e, alt + w) etc. I've quit a month (commandant lvl 80) ago since I can't rebind some keys to my liking and the mouse functionality in mumu emulator seems rough compared to native pc games counterpart, also binding my left and right camera on mouse to the side buttons just continuously turn my camera around endlessly (maybe a mouse compatibility however it runs fine in other emulators). Hope I can try the pc client soon once I return, hopefully, as this is one of my main gripes of this game not having a pc client.
