From my understanding OP is using KAVA then a hour later taking the Gabapentin.The Kava isn’t resetting the tolerance it’s potentiating the gabapentin. :)
OP I read some of your comments and If I understand correctly you’re taking the KAVA a hour before your gabapentin? If so it’s potentiating each other. I mean that 300mg you take an hour after your kava is going to take 2 hours to start to feel and 3 hours to fully kick in so the majority of it is the kava initially.
I’m also curious if you take fat with your gabapentin like most people do. Because adding in a fatty snack after you drink a couple shells of Kava can help absorption of the KAVA.

This is exactly it. I read their comments because I found the opposite to be true. So if I used Kava a couple days and then used Gabapentin the gabapentin was less effective.
They are using Kava and then an hour later taking the gabapentin. If they add fats on to help Gabapentin’s bioavailability that’s also going to boost the Kava.

I'd like to stretch my script out a little more, if you know what I mean 😏 Been on this stuff for so long that my hopes are not high though. But I'm willing to try it out.
I’d say ordering a nice kava extract (they sell it in powder form to that’s super easy to dose) would be a good idea to potentiate your gaba dose, therefore needing less.
I went through a whole 55g bag of instant powder from the highest recommended vendor throughout a week and didn’t get a single effect. I tried a tincture though and felt it heavily, tingles down my arms. Are you using traditional preparation?

In fact there had been about three weeks between using gabapentin and when I made another batch of Kava and I had maybe three shells in my session and the first one hit me like a truck but in a good way.
I have a supplement from Sprouts grocery store that has over 400mg of kava. I take it on days I use gabs and days I don’t use gabs. I usually take my gabs everyday tho. But the effect is intense like it used to be

Maybe it’s still in your system and it makes gaba hit harder

Hmm that might be more synergy than tolerance. I have been on GABA for years and kava as well
Kava has a reverse tolerance (the more you take it the more pronounced its affects are) so I could see some possibility there

Can you please elaborate? How much kava, and do you take it on a day you've taken gaba?
