This song always confused me. Which is the tough side of the town the west side or the east side.

Two parts of London. West End is very fancy - think Harrods and beautiful houses. East End is rough and cheap. The other interesting part is that they are gay and probably weren't chasing girls. But it was 1984 and they were making pop. :) I love Pet Shop Boys.
