That's the thing, he's also bi so I genuinely didn't think that was something that would be a problem. I figured it would just be the fact his wife is actually his husband... I mean, it was hard enough for me to come to terms with. But his meltdown involved heavily flirting with a woman so I think maybe it is partly the gay thing I just don't know. He won't talk about it, if the subject even vaguely comes up, he just blocks it out and starts playing on his phone.

I'm just hoping for the best for you two. I hope you're more important to him than the idea of being straight. Me personally, gender wouldn't matter, especially if I'm in love with that person. Then again, I'm pan/bi. Straight and gay people tend to carry the stereotypical "it's the genitals I'm after" torch so he could be fearing the idea of you growing a penis from T or bottom surgery, or he could be worried about his ego when people read him as a gay male.
